Rated 5 out of 5 by JWUK Amazing Hotel Team
This hotel is amazing; the rooms are very well priced for the location (the beach is great), and the food is quality. By far the most striking element of this hotel is the reception and Management team. Super efficient, very helpful and genuine, and at all time I have found them to go over and above the usual standard of service to ensure things are handled perfectly. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants great service and good value for money. The pool area was also very good, not too loud and very clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jess064 Extremely Dissappointed
The hotel was beautiful, great location and excellent amenities. EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED in the check in staff. I was guaranteed an early check in by a staff member who was unaware that this could not be accommodated. We checked in at 12 and our room was not available until 3:30pm... and it was the wrong room. We had requested the oceantfront balcony suite and was provided a room with a tiny window covered in mold overlooking the AC unit, with no balcony. Staff was horrible and did nothing to make good on the situation. We missed the entire day of sightseeing Miami because of this. We noticed another family waiting even longer than us as well as rooms were not even available at the 4pm check in time. Will not return... ever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jjrnipm Not representative of Starwood
I'll start with the positives-- there were plenty of hangers in the closet and the elevators were quick and available. Those
are the only positive I can find. The rooms: dark, depressing and not updated in years. The carpet was dirty, the furniture was chipped and worn and the refrigerator hummed loudly all night.
With the exception of one waitress, the staff was rude and not helpful. My telephone did not work so I went to the front desk to order room service and was told it would not be available until 6:30- it was 6:45. I was then told maybe "around 7." There was no offer to have someone fix my phone or take a room service order. The coffee in my room wasn't re-stocked either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Marie713 Renovation caused chemical smell on several floors
Checked out after one night. Traveling with coworkers for business trip and many were on floors with a chemical smell. Manager gave us a difficult time about checking out early but than relented and didn't charge penalty. Should close if renovating This Starwood property did not meet my expectations

Upon arrival at midnight , I was assigned a room and the door could not be opened (door locked from inside)
Second room,. did not have cellular phone reception which was not informed before check in (apparently it is always the case)
Third room was ok.
Hotel staff, except few , was not able to event pretend caring about guests and there attitude was not up to my previous experience in other Starwood properties worldwide

Although the view from my room was awaful ( room 710) looking into another room and sort of an ally view of another neighboring hotel/building I didn't mind it as it was a large room and most of the day was spent outside. What I was actually disappointed was the room was situated what looks like next to a neighboring hotel/building which had pool parties and other load music into the early morning hours. I traveled with two little kids and we we'rent able to sleep. Our room had old windows which let all the sound through. I was actually surprized that we had two up down windows as I suspect the sound came through those winsowns. I would suggest the hotel upgrades the windows in theat area to limit the noise.

Upon arrival we were in urgent need to use a computer; Business center, which needed money to be used, was not working. Free use computer in Lobby area, was not working. Concierge told me to go to a kinkos or fedex or cyber café(wow). Same day while walking by the pool area with my KIDS, there was a used CONDOM hanging from the shrubbery very visible. Notified the front desk and they were very receptive. At night as we tried to heat up the baby bottle in the room microwave, it did not heat up the food. Hopefully the loud cry of a hungry baby did not disturbed any other guest. Microwave was replaced promptly though. Danielle at front desk was the most helpful, spg level service we received.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Notstayingthereagain Terrible hotel
Quick summary of why my hotel stay was so bad:
- Twice they neglected to make the wake-up calls I requested
- The restaurant is supposed to open at 7 (which is late for business travelers). It would open 5-10 minutes late.
- Minimal outlets in the room including none at the desk
- No light at the desk
- I couldn't even read the phone number off the phone when I wanted to give it to my wife to call me back since there was no light and the labeling on the phone was old and faded. We actually had to google it.
- They couldn't even have the clock in the room set. It was on the blinking 12:00 setting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by quinella66 A nice and more family friendly option in Miami
We stayed here to get to the beach with extended family and my 2-year old. It is a historic art-deco building that is being restored. The facility is nice, the beach is nice, and the restaurant was good.
I was told before arrival that they were still renovating, but they only do one floor at a time so guests are unaffected. I would agree as I did not even notice it.
We had two rooms, and as Platinum, they both were upgraded to be ocean-front with one being a suite, and they were next to each other. I thought that was a nice gesture, given that hotels typically only upgrade one of the two rooms.
I was a bit concerned over the mixed reviews, but after staying, I would agree that we would stay again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by saratogasteve Room and amenities Good Service not so much!
We got into the hotel around 7:30 on a Monday evening and went to the restaurant where there were only 3 or 4 other tables occupied. After waiting at least 10 minutes to be greeted we waited for over 25 minutes for food of any sort. I asked for bread and that took another 10-15 minutes. The other people in the restaurant were experiencing the same sort of frustrating time. We were ready to leave when the food finally arrived. The breakfast buffet was fine as there were no service issues. I ordered a burger outside on another day and it took a very long time for that to arrive as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Traveler94123 Disappointing
I waited an hour in a cold swimsuit before they managed to get my room correct, then the bellman was rude. The Manager said he'd keep me updated, but disappeared. I had to call to get soap and the lamp fixed in the room when I arrived. Do not waste using an upgrade coupon - the upgrade suite I was given was not worth it. Had to pay for the same breakfast I get free at other SPG hotels with Platinum status. Pool was basic compared to even smaller hotels nearby (e.g. others had hammocks).
Very disappointing. Location was okay, about 2 miles from South Beach.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MDTerp Nice place to stay
We stayed here for anniversary get-away and found the accommodations suitable for us. The hotel was clean and the staff was polite and helpful. Things were pretty quiet, making it a nice way to get away from the hustle and bustle of SoBe. The room was adaquate, albeit a little cramped. My only real complaint was the television channels were really dark and difficult to see. Combined with them not being in HD, the viewing experience was pretty bad. I ended up being sick for some of the trip and spent more time then I would have liked in bed watching TV.

Rated 2 out of 5 by tazman Good location and features
The hotel is close to major roads to Miami, nice pool, and easy beach access. Rooms are small, bathroom was very dark. Could not get maid to leave regular coffee, had to move coffee maker to bathroom to plug it in. Desk staff, concierge, and valet were great people. Dining room food was terrible: paid $32 for a steak that was very dry, no A1 or Heintz available, and so only ate about half of it. Lobby was extremely cold so no one wanted to relax there or at the bar. This hotel is definitely not what I would expect from a Sheraton.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bzzz Definitely bottom of barrel
This is a Four Point and I have been used to farther up the Starwood Chain. Let me start with the good. It has an expansive and pleasant Lobby. Even though we did not use it due to the weather, it has a nice pool and good beach access. The staff were fine and things are in the process of renovation.
None of our rooms were great... we moved due to problems. The first had a leaking toilet. The second poor lighting throughout, but especially in the bathroom. Hopefully they continue to renovate because it is in a nice place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JerseyGirl2012 Good hotel for a short weekend stay
Overall good hotel for a short stay. However, we arrived around 2pm and were told the room wasn't ready although they were upgrading to a Jr Suite based on my Gold Starwoods status. Fair enough. However, the room STILL wasn't ready at 4pm and we had to wait until after 5pm to get in. We weren't happy. Also, the Jr Suite really wasn't a suite. It was a room with a separate area with a couch and desk. It wasn't two separate rooms. Bathroom was very small.
However, great location on the beach, nice pool and hottub area.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Yulia One of the worst Starwood properties I have ever stayed
I have stayed in many other Starwood properties before and I always had the best experience. Not in this case! That was the worst Starwood hotel that I have ever been. The property in really old. It's that old that even the toilet was flooded. We called maintainence, a guy came, fixed it and left all the wet towels right there on the floor. So my stay for my birthday was not amazing at all. The view from the balcony was amazing, but there is no furniture on the balcony. Very low quality overall!

even though we had reservations for the night, our flight was delayed by 2 hrs and they gave our room to someone else, so they told us. Our room was supposed to have a view of the water and we had a lovely view of the roof. also, there was a huge spotlight on said roof that shone directly into our room. Our travel spoke with the hotel and they were to " have something in our room for our room for our inconvenience." There was nothing.
We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff wasn't very friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bodyangle Exactly what you expect
This hotel is exactly what you expect from a Four Points by Sheraton. Nice but not too fancy, and actually much cleaner than most Four Points I have stayed at.
Location was up and down. You are pretty far north on Miami beach, so if you are looking for the South Beach scene, it is quite a trek. However, you are very close to the Julia Tuttle Causeway, so if you are constantly going into Miami, the location was great.
If you are a SPG Gold member, don't expect recognition or perks. Not sure about Platinum.

The hotel lobby was appealing and the staff (especially Alex and the omlett chef from Haiti - i think) was great. I'm accustom to a higher quality hotel so this one is a bit dated. The highlight of the room was the 32 inch TV. Very small room. Overall, it's okay.

The Resident Manager - and staff had helped me out with my family and (parents) while staying there due to extenuating circumstances. April /2010 – May /2010 Four Points by Sheraton Miami Beach
Awesome say. Excellent. Staff went over and above and exceeded expectations. Resident Manager and her staff were very professional, excellent and very customer oriented, friendly, proficient and accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the management and staff were excellent. I would go back in a flash!

Sophie provided excellent service and the gentleman was also accommodating. Some of the front desk staff were extremely unpleasant.
I arrived early and could not check in until 4pm. I was issued keys to get out to the beach, but all of the keys issued stopped working. I could not charge anything to my room. Only being there for a day I spent most of my time trying to get keys activated and a status on my room.
My room was upgraded which was nice, but overall a frustrating experience.

A very disappointing experience. I am a platinum member who has stayed at many Sheratons all over the country and world. I regret to say that this property was the worst I've stayed at so far. My room was not ready for an hour past check in time, I was made to wait with no compensation or apology. The room was not clean - hair all over the tub. Housekeepers yelling at each other in the hallway early in the morning, staff not very responsive. All in all, a bad experience, I will not be going back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CelticCrosse Sleeping rooms in dire need of upgrade!
The lobby, meeting space & public areas are very nice and have obviously been upgraded recently. However, upon entering our room, thought I was in a different hotel. Beds were uncomfortable, air conditioning was inadequate, room was run down with worn carpet, drapes, and generally shabby overall . We had a balcony w/ocean views, but there were no chairs or furniture of any kind, so all you could do was stand. The area had very few restaurants or shopping nearby.
