Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel has great location Free shuttle to BART station for easy and fast access to San Francisco . Message board in hotel lobby shows scheduled stop times for shuttle on street in front of hotel Easy access to Berkeley Great shopping and food on Bay Street behind hotel. Easy access to major freeways October 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by One problem I use a CPAP machine, a health device I need to help me sleep. Need electricity to operate the machine. So, I need an outlet. The outlet in the room is behind the bed! Unless I have an extension cord with me. If I stay at this hotel again, I will bring an extension cord with me. In planning future hotel, have an outlet close to the bed that can be accessed easily. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stay! The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the free morning coffee and afternoon cookies. A free beer and barbecued ribs were offered on Wednesday. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is located across the street from a strip mall and the Emeryville shuttle. A larger mall, Ikea, and BART are quickly available by the shuttle. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks! June 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Met Expectations Pretty much exactly what I expected. Nice amenities for a business traveler - free WiFi, free bottled water, etc. The location is a bit loud, but that is not the hotel's fault - Emeryville isn't exactly a residential location. But it was nice and close to my meetings, and a short walk from the fake Emeryville main street with a lot of shops and restaurants. July 31, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Free parking and quiet Room was clean and bed comfortable. The staff here was very friendly. We got the upgrade as promised. Free parking. The only downside is the restaurant . We both had the buffet and for 14.00 each, we were very disappointed. Please eat at one of the local area restaurants and you will be much happier. The Black Bear right next to hotel is a good choice. March 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good mid-level hotel One of the nicer Four Points. We had a SPG upgraded room, so it was nice and big with a sofa. Bar area in lobby is small but nice and staff is always friendly. Free parking is a bonus in the Bay Area. Walking distance to shopping area with good stores (Trader Joes, BevMo, etc). Sometimes get some interesting characters in the bar, but this is Berkeley! October 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Emeryville stay I stayed at the 4 Points for 2 nights while on business. The facility met my needs. The room was small but more than adequate. The front staff was very nice and welcoming. They had a business center where you could print your boarding pass. In the afternoon, they also had yummy cookies and fresh popcorn for the guests. I would definitely return. September 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was great and in the perfect location We were meeting our goddaughter for a weekend get together. We had to pick her up at the Oakland airport and this spot was perfect. So close to the Bay Bridge and to all our points of interest. We will definitely choose this location again and explore Emeryville more. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the accomodations were perfect! September 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Arriving Late? NO Problem! After a long week at music camp, we spent a night at the Sharaton Four Points in Emeryville. I knew from past experience that late arrival was not a problem. Your staff helped us xerox some music needed for a later performance. Breakfast was excellent. The room had a drop-dead beautiful view. What's not to like? August 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by quick stay, decent price We were SPG Gold members and the front check in staff automatically gave us a bigger room, upgrade to executive king room for more living space. It was available and they honored my gold membership. Carpet isn't too good in the corridors, but you get what you pay for, Four points. I'd come back again for a short one night stay. May 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Quick Stay Room was great for the one night stay. Would not reccomend for long stays. Bathroom was very small and room was very compact with the double beds. The carpet needs updating, it was stained right outside the bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Very compact space. Staff were very friendly and customer service was good. June 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't hope for a clear TV picture the hotel was average. Had a opening window which is always good. However, in the room I was in had only Standard Def TV and it was grainy picture (snowy) at that. Something wrong with the signal to the room. Did mention it to the front desk. Hotel is faily noisy, near train tacks and busy road. But only worth noting June 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Air conditioning The room [721] HVAC equipment was broken in the sense that I could not put the air conditioning fan on a consistent level for the night. It kept going on and off and would wake me when it went on each time. A very restless night preparing for an important business meeting the next morning. August 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wi-Fi unimpressive I found this hotel to be more than adequate. The staff was super friendly, but not annoyingly so. The rooms were a little small (especially the bathroom) but cozy. But what really irritated me was the spotty wi-fi. Every time I changed apps on my kindle or smartphone, I'd have to log back in to the wifi. VERY ANNOYING. February 25, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Tired and Noisy Sadly the staff have to make up for a hotel that is very run down and beyond noisy. Each morning I woke to trash bins being moved. The SPG preferred guest room is at the end of the building and does zero for blocking noise from 4-6am. September 27, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Very Disappointed When my husband and I walked in to the hotel lobby we were greeted at the front desk by a very unfriendly reservationist. There was no "good afternoon", she didn't even crack a smile. Our room had a very damp and musty smell that we couldn't get out. It was okay for one night, but we were hugely disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel This is an excellent hotel in all respects; the staff is lovely and accommodating, and the rooms are very nice, as well as the other facilities. The location is near shops and restaurants. They offer free coffee and tea in the morning, as well as two newspapers. There is also free parking. August 13, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful experience The pool was next to the freeway and offered no privacy. The wifi code had to be entered into the phone every time one picked up the smart phone. I tried to print on the business center and was told, "Sometimes the printer won't work if you try to print." It was awful. September 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice room The only thing I can say about this room that might not be positive is that whatever the cleaning service is using as disinfectant has an OVERWHELMING smell - to the point of making your eyes water. Fortunately, it's not a bad smell - similar to sitting on a plane next to somebody who puts on too much cologne. March 4, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs work Stayed here in Emeryville, CA. First thing when I walked in, not bad. Staff was nice and professional. Walked into my room and the carpet was dirty and smelled musty. Didn't want to take my shoes off. Come on Sheraton......clean the carpet and get rid of that musty smell. GROSS!! August 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Consistent Excellence I love staying at this location because I can always depend on the room to be clean and ready, the staff very friendly and helpful, the parking easy, and good food available in the hotel. A very important feature is the quick and easy check in procedure. Everyone at the counter is very proficient. June 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Alternative hotel close to Berkeley My second times staying this hotel and places to eat/shop nearby (Ikea, Target, Trader Joe's,etc.) . Our room was pretty good size and there is free coffee/cookies mid-afternoon plus free parking. Whenever I visit my kid @ UC Berkeley, I like to stay hotel @ Emeryville. August 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Clean & comfortable but unreliable WiFi Overall I would recommend this hotel. However the WiFi was unreliable, worked sometimes, other times not. Also, the hotel was understaffed for the restaurant which is NOT the staff's fault. However, the staff did NOT even greet me until I had been sat for 10 minutes - I do not find this acceptable. Rated 2 out of 5 by bad service Upon check in, i asked the front desk to help us out with our baggages. There were 3 of them in the front-that afternoon was very slow. They just look at me and pointed that the baggage stroller is by the exit. Meaning do it yourself!! My mother was handicapped. Your staff showed no hospitality. October 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent beds and pillows You will not find a more comfortable hotel to stay in. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are the best I have ever laid my head on. October 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Love Starwood Hotels but this was Below Expectations A/C was very loud; hard to sleep; bathroom small/cramped; hallway carpet has mild odor; breakfast buffet eggs dry, not enough variety October 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff the staff at this stay were excellent - remembered us from a prior visit and took extra care October 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location and staff The hotel is in the accessible to everywhere we wanted to go, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive, responsive, and friendly. October 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Compassionate staff! Comfortable beds, nice gym, excellent breakfast, close to bart...and, when my daughter realized, after our return home, that she left her stuffed animal (very sentimental), the staff located it quickly and the head of housekeeping sent it to us at no charge. Very considerate staff! September 14, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Mold City Just checked out after one night of a four night stay where the carpets were so stained and dirty that I put down towels to walk. After seeing the mold/mildew on the shower curtain while trying to bathe, decided that I needed to get out before I caught comething unnatural. October 9, 2012
