Le Méridien Brussels | The Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels

The Center for Fine Arts (CFA) offers an unparalleled infrastructure for developing brand new concepts across several artistic disciplines. The building in itself is an extraordinary testimony to Belgium's architectural heritage. It was conceived and designed by architect Victor Horta in the 1920's and its modern style still surprises even to this day. The philosophy behind Horta's project was at that time – and remains today – unique in Europe. With nearly 4,000m2 of exhibition surface area (all recently renovated and complying with international standards of hygrometry), a magnificent concert hall with seating for 2,100, a venue for chamber music able to accommodate 480 people, two small theatres (holding 180 and 120 people respectively), three areas recently reequipped for multimedia projects and with its dedicated areas for the royal cinema archives, a rich collection of worldwide renown, the Center for Fine Arts has become a dynamic art center that welcomes almost a million visitors each year. In this way our institution is positioning itself as the art center 'par excellence' in the cultural landscape of Belgium, host nation to the European institutions.
