Le Méridien Penina Golf & Resort | Portimão Museum

Opened in May 2008, the Portimão Museum (Museu de Portimão), situated on the right hand bank of the River Arade and installed in a reformed fish canning factory, presents different exhibitions spaces and cultural experiences.
The permanent exhibition “Portimão-Territory and Identity” shows the origins and evolution of the local community, namely it’s industrial and maritime history. The other museum rooms are addressed to temporary exhibitions related with several contemporary cultural areas.
