Le Méridien Delhi NCR, Noida La région

Located in the Gautam Budh Nagar district in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, Greater Noida is among Asia’s largest industrial townships. Situated 40 kilometres from New Delhi and about 20 kilometres from Noida, Le Méridien Delhi NCR, Noida provides a new perspective on northern India’s city of the future. Corporate offices, retail stores, shopping malls, and golf courses are all within easy reach. About 45 kilometres from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), the city is expected to have a railway station and an international airport of its own within the next few years.

Indian culture and Hindu architecture inspire at Akshardham Temple, one of the city’s most majestic religious sites. The Bahá’í House of Worship, also known as the Lotus Temple due to its flowerlike shape, is equally enriching. A sense of history can be gained at one of Delhi’s top attractions, India Gate, built in honour of the Indian citizens who died in World War I. In Agra stands one of the New Seven Wonders of the World—the Taj Mahal, a stunning white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in honour of his deceased wife Empress Mumtaz. Located less than two hours away along the Taj Expressway, this pristine UNESCO World Heritage Site is truly a remarkable jewel.

Riveting, high-adrenaline entertainment can be found at the Buddh International Circuit, India’s Formula 1 Grand Prix venue. A variety of exotic animals live at the Greater Noida Night Safari, which will soon open and become the world’s fourth nocturnal zoo. The nearby India Expo Mart hosts myriad events dedicated to the wide array of wondrous heritage Indian handicrafts. Gourmands should not miss sampling some tantalising indigenous north Indian cuisine.
