With its beautiful indoor and outdoor setting, rustic design elements, and stunning views, Le Pirogue captures the undeniable ease of its tropical setting. Woven rattan chairs, teak tables and chairs, and sculptural teak display counters are accentuated by vibrant local fabrics—intermingling natural earth tones with bright pops of colour. The stone-tiled terrace is surrounded by lush vegetation—framing beach and Oro Bay views. The indoor dining room is kept cool with large ceiling fans suspended from dark wooden beams supporting the traditional thatched roof. Walls of concertina windows open to let the ocean breeze and sunlight in.
Start the day with an extravagant breakfast buffet. Enjoy a wide selection of fresh tropical fruit, natural yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit juices, fresh baked breads and pastries, and locally made jams. A station for made-to-order omelettes, bacon, and hash browns will please guests in the mood for hearty breakfast fare. For lunch, guests may order à la carte or partake in our daily BBQ buffet. Local delicacies include fresh fish fillets and the ever-popular Bougna—a traditional dish of yams, taro, seafood, and banana, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked underground for several hours.
At dinner, an exquisite à la carte menu of traditional Melanesian dishes and reinvented French cuisine tempts. Not to be missed, fresh-caught crabs from the mangrove, local snails, and succulent Rock Lobster are prepared with fresh picked herbs. To round out your meal, we recommend one of our signature cocktails. The Gadji—our version of the classic champagne cocktail—adds a festive note to any occasion.
For our youngest guests, the popular children’s menu includes favourites such as Spaghetti Bolognese, hamburgers with fries, and grilled chicken.
