Under the watchful eye of Head Chef Gianni Stargiotti, this vibrant eighth floor eatery serves up authentic seasonal Italian cuisine from its spectacular open kitchen—creating a lively culinary spectacle every night for its guests. The pasta is always fresh and homemade. A wood-burning oven crisps the daily offering of pizza to perfection. An impressive selection of spirits and liqueurs is always at hand. And Shanghai’s only traditional lever coffee machine—imported from southern Italy—brews the ultimate cup of espresso.
Signature dishes not to be missed include Spaghetti Chitarra with sea urchin and mullet fish egg, Fornarina Ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach, and Whole Egg with butter truffle sauce and pecorino cheese shave.
Decorated in warm natural shades of wood, the restaurant is divided into several distinct areas. Guests may enjoy a cocktail before dinner in the cosy lounge complete with deep upholstered armchairs or take a seat at the long rustic bar, embellished with custom stone tile work. The welcoming dining area features sleek wooden chairs around wooden four-top tables. Candles and fresh flowers add a delightful touch. Finally, two private rooms accommodate intimate dinner parties of up to six guests, while the impressive wine cellar may be reconfigured to host a dinner for up to 26, serving à la carte options or a customised menu upon request.
Children under the age of three enjoy a complimentary children’s menu, while children over the age of twelve are served adult fare at regular restaurant rates.
Please note that dinner reservations are highly recommended.
