Le Méridien Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai presents shoppers with a kaleidoscope of traditional crafts and bargains on jewellery and fine fabrics. Painted sa paper umbrellas, hill tribe handicrafts, cotton and silk fabric and clothing, ceramics, antiques and skillfully crafted replicas, silver and gems, intricately designed lacquer ware, rattan, wickerwork, and woodcarvings highlight the offerings. High-quality cottons and silks as well as teak furniture and artistic woodcarvings are among the region’s specialties. Sift through the mundane for extraordinary bargains at the buzzing Night Bazaar—and stop by our own shopping arcade, where a selection of high-end shops offer the finest and most beautiful Thai fabrics and handicrafts.

Shopping Arcade
O.P. Place is an upper-market, contemporary boutique mall located on the premises, with top Thai brands offering home decorations, jewellery, and fine art, as well as restaurants and cafés. The first shops to open included Vila Cini, retailing home decoratives made from Thai silk, and Doi Tung, a café serving only coffee brewed from the high-quality, aromatic Arabica bean. The mall is open daily, 11am-10pm.

Night Bazaar
A mere 500 metres from the hotel, the legendary Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is an open-air market in which local artisans sell intricately detailed and joyously whimsical handicrafts. Open daily, 6pm-11pm.
