Rated 3 out of 5 by Location Advantage is a Toss-up Room: Nice, clean, and cool which is important considering how hot it is Service: Room was visited by staff a few times a day to clean, check toiletries, deliver mid-day treats, and offer turn down service. Very attentive. If too much simply use the DND sign. Food: Very tasty lunch and room service. Didn't get the opportunity to try the breakfast or dinner buffets but they looked awesome. Location: Close to Angkor Wat but 10 minutes to downtown where all the restaurants and shops are. In my opinion it would better to be closer to downtown as most people only go to the temples once per day whereas you may go to the city more often. Areas for Improvement: 1) Get an ATM (cash machine) on site. Siem Reap is a cash heavy city and I had to pay for a tuk-tuk to and from the city just to make a cash withdrawal. The closest ATM doesn't work with all western bank cards so I had to go into downtown. This took about 45mins to 1hour and cost 6 bucks. Incredibly annoying errand to run on my last night after visiting temples all day. 2) Reduce the markups on breakfast boxes and airport transfers. Relative to other prices in the area a $13 quote for a breakfast box of juice, pastries, and yogurt is wire high (menu even quotes $10). $15 quote for a taxi to return to airport is over a 100% markup ($7 for taxi from airport to hotel). 3) Gym: would be nice if there were heavier dummbells or at least a smith machine. Overall stay I would say was average. The highs and the lows balance it out to a 3 star stay. March 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Staff and Most accomodating I unexpectedly found myself in Siem Reap. I had been booked at another hotel in error. I arrived at the SPG counter and was greeted by the most incredible staff that went out of their way to accommodate my unannounced arrival. I was given a wonderful room and then upgraded the next day. My stay was better than I could have imagined! Thank you. February 11, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Superior SPG Recognition, Excellent Food + Pool, WiFi Slow What a beautiful and magnificent hotel that is conveniently located next to Angkor Wat. We stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing experience. They greeted us very courteously, helped us with our bags, gave us a complimentary drink, and directed us to our room. Our room included fruit and pastries to greet us, along with bottled water. Breakfast was top notch. Tons of selection with an omelette/egg station, noodle station, soup, and much more. Wide variety for everybody. Happy Hour is plentiful at 5:30pm daily. Complimentary for Platinum members. Can't complain! As for the rooms, they're clean. Safe works well, shower design is a bit poor as the door doesn't fully close, but otherwise 4.5/5. The only downfall of the hotel is the WiFi. Getting speeds at about 40kbps uploads, and slow downloads. Pages load fine, but would love to see it faster if possible in Cambodia. Will very easily choose this venue to stay at again. Top choice for SPG members, given that it's a category 2 (feels like a category 4). Excellent job to the hotel staff and GM! January 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonder in a City of Wonders Le Méridien Angkor in Siem Reap is a surprisingly wonderful property. During check in, you're greeted with cold wet towels and a fruit drink to refresh from your travels. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, but not particularly spectacular. Half of the rooms face the inner courtyard while the other half face outwards away from the property. The staff from check in to check out is excellent and your needs are generally met with haste. LOCATION: 5/5 Very good located, just a short 5 min drive to the gates of Angkor Wat. ROOMS: 3/5 Rooms are clean. They do not have much suites, we didn't got an upgrade. STAFF / SERVICE: 4/5 Well trained, polite staff. RESTAURANTS: 4/5  & (VEGETARIAN / VEGAN OPTIONS: 3/5) Good buffet breakfast. Huge restaurant, not pricy. SPA / FITNESS: 3/5 Average. The gym is too small. SPG RECOGNITION: 3/5 No upgrade, but lovely cocktail hours with snacks for Platinum's. PLATINUM AMBASSADOR SPECIAL REQUEST RECOGNITION: 4/5 Good, the fruit plate and the water was set up. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: Location near by Angkor. DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS:  No upgrade. VALUE FOR MONEY: 4/5 Good value. ONE THING TO KNOW: Book a one day Angkor Wat tour with a private tour guide and private driver, it will cost you around 100 USD. October 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A caring staff in an atypical Le Meridien The Le Meridien Angkor is a low-rise, slightly older property than most hotels in the Le Meridien family. The rooms are nicely furnished although not in the modern style in most Le Meridiens. The service at this hotel was top notch. At check in i was offered a cool towel and a refreshing fruit drink while the agent completed the check in. I was upgraded to a suite due to Platinum status. It was very spacious, and a came with a larger than normal king sized bed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as is normally the case in Le Meridiens. The hotel offered Platinum members evening cocktails and appetizers in the bar. This was one area that needs improvement as the only alcoholic drinks provided where beer and wine and the appetizers had to be ordered from a menu rather than viewed in a buffet. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Siem Reap. It is near the Ankgor Wat complex. There are a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. But the main tourist dinning and entertainment area of the city requires a short taxi ride to reach. October 15, 2015

No club floor or lounge, but dedicated SPG area in lobby. Only a 7-minute tuk-tuk ride to the old market, about 15 minutes to the airport via $7 taxi (March 2015). April 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel for a comfortable stay Arrived at the hotel early and was pleased that they had a room ready for us. I booked with points so breakfast wasn't included. The front desk felt a bit aggressive in upselling me breakfast which for the country is very expensive. I do recommend the breakfast though since it's very good, especially the soup. Probably had 3 bowls of soup every morning. Rooms were large and comfortable. I like that the lights and AC could be controlled by the bed. The fruit platter was very nice too. I signed up for the spa on the last day and did not enjoy the experience. The massage was fine but the facilities needed work. The spa room had dirty towels still hanging on the walls and I had to ask for fresh towels. I also had to ask for slippers and was informed they ran out. The handle in the shower was broken and there were used soap bottles. This made me feel uncomfortable. March 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Closest and Nicest hotel to the temples Le Meridien Angkor was a short bike ride from the ticket booth and main entrance, which made it perfect to explore the temples. It was easy to rent bicycles from the hotel and/or tuk-tuks depending on how adventurous you are. The Platinum benefits are great - breakfast included and happy hour at the bar (including snacks from the menu). The pool was very relaxing, but the gym was very tiny. The location is great not only for the temples, but also the downtown area and the airport. The staff (restaurant, bar, etc.) made it a point to remember me and my name, which was appreciated. Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Choice in Siem Reap After staying at the Le Meridien Angkor, I cannot think of a better choice in Siem Reap. The location is perfect - short ride to downtown and a short ride to the Angkor Temples. The grounds are breathtaking - just gorgeous. The rooms are perfectly furnished and very comfortable. Service was upscale and flawless. The pictures on the hotel's website are beautiful but I do not think they do the property justice. It really is a stellar property. The Le Meridien is slightly removed the road and you will not hear any traffic noise during your stay. I am a light sleeper and had a great night's sleep throughout my stay. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel! January 31, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Unexpected delights We stayed for 5 days during the peak holiday season with our large extended family. During this busy time, we experienced warm and gracious services from the managers and staff members throughout the hotel. The most surprising element was the excellent Asian and European food served in the hotel restaurants. Normally, we consider it lame to eat all of your meals in a hotel. But the food here was so delicious and inexpensive by hotel standards, we ended up having breakfast and dinner here every night. The restaurant manager Seang Raksmey took really good care of us. All the wait staff we encountered were charming and very helpful, We have traveled quite a bit and stayed in many fine hotels, but this place is memorable. It is the real life version of 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'. Other highlights: Lush gardens and well appointed rooms. We loved that beautiful teak flooring. January 6, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel to Relax and base your Temple Touring My wife and I spent 3 nights and 4 days at this resort on our first trip to Siem Reap. It is a very large property with very friendly staff throughout the hotel, they really want to take care of every request. The Naga Bar/Lounge and Front Desk team was very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your time at the hotel and sightseeing in the area. I would recommend this hotel to couples and families looking for a quiet location to end their day of Temple Tours and Shopping. Bryce December 2, 2014

Le Meridien D'Angkor impresses me not only as a comfortable hotel--- spaciousness everywhere, lobby, room, breakfast area, business centre, etc. The thing that makes me smile is that not only the breakfast is sumptuous, the complimentary welcome drinks are sumptuous ( large cups or big glasses), even the bedtime snacks and fruits in your room are sumptuous. The smiles of the staff are also big smiles together with cheerful eyes. Thumbs up to management and the training team. November 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My New Favorite SPG hotel Warm welcome by a number of staff on arrival. Sokha took great care of me at check in and throughout the stay - even came outside to wave good bye as I left for the airport (probably wanted to make sure I was truly leaving after asking him 1,000 questions during my stay) The local gift for platinum members were beautiful scarves the ladies in my family loved. This is only the 2nd time I have chosen the local gift over points. However you can get the same box set in the hotel gift shop for a lot less than buying 500 points so you may want to get the points and go to the gift shop to buy the scarf set. We had two rooms - both the suite and regular rooms were beautiful. Housekeeping were very friendly and spoke great english and rooms were impeccable. Great breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. At night we could enjoy (with platinum status) free cocktails and unlimited appetizers in the very beautiful and quiet lounge. Ron was very attentive and friendly. Instead of going to the market the second night my family wanted to go back to the lounge and spend time with Ron. Hotel will arrange for a tuk tuk driver for $3 to the market. All the tuk tuk drivers were very nice and never tried to get more money out of us. I felt safe and relaxed using the tuk tuks the hotels got us. I didn't use the spa however the spa menu and promotions were very reasonable and the best value of any 4-5 star hotel chains I have visited in Asia. A testament to how much the hotel wants the guest to enjoy their stay is that the front desk clerk saw me looking at the spa menu and mentioned that the hotel will also arrange a local spa to pick up the guests at the hotel. I asked why they would do that and he said because they just want the guest to have a great experience so if they feel the hotel prices are a little too expensive they arrange other cheaper options. Wow that is great service!!! The only issue I had with this hotel is that as you enter the beautiful lobby there is a wide screen TV playing a video with dying children on it - for a charity. Two other people in my party also mentioned this during the stay. It is great that the hotel has partnered up with a local charity but I think their huge display of teddy bears is a great way to draw interest and attention to the cause. Seeing the video every time I walked through the lobby actually made me feel guilty I was staying at such a luxurious hotel. November 7, 2014

The staff are excellent and go out of their way to provide friendly and professional service. The food was delicious and of a high quality. This hotel has beautiful rooms and an outstanding pool and surrounding area. Very Very peaceful and a nice break. You are located in a great area and so close to all that you want to see. The hotel staff were outstanding and so very helpful. We came over for 4 days during out Thailand visit and cannot wait to return. Rated 5 out of 5 by Santuary in Siem Reap My partner and I stayed at Le Meridien Angkor for two nights in a Starwood Preferred Guest room in September 2014. The SPG room was a $25USD upsell when we arrived but I believe it was worth the money. The room was spacious and clean with views over the garden and most importantly well air conditioned. The hotel is centrally located between town and the tourist sights of Angkor Wat and Angkor Tom. In other words a short tuk-tuk ride in either direction. Staff and service was great although occasionally expect a little bit of extra translating to get understood. After a long day of trekking through temples we found the pool a Godsend and spent sometime rejuvenating with a cocktail. All in all I'd say it was worth the money we paid. October 2, 2014
