Piccadilly Circus, Leister Square, Coventry Garden, Trafalgar, Soho, Regent -, Bond - & Oxford Street all within a 10 minute walk. Besides its excellent location, the hotel has spacious rooms (for London in particular), a nice breakfast buffet and everything else you need to have an unforgettable stay in London!

Ich war bereits zum dritten Mal im Le Meridien. Das Hotel hat eine perfekte Lage. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich.

Hotel ist an guter Lage in London gelegen, ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen. Die Räume sind kleine und eng, die Ausstattung ist äusserst spartanisch und sehr abgenutzt und dürfte erneuert werden.

Diese Bewertung sich NUR auf eines der renovierten Zimmer !
- tolle Lage wenn man abends in Chinatown unterwegs sein möchte oder tagsüber shoppen will
- Zimmerqualität schwankt enorm, die nicht renovierten Zimmer sind den Preis nicht wert, die renovierten einfach top (ich verzichte gern auf das Platinum Upgrade und nehme lieber ein renoviertes DZ statt einer "alten" Jun. Suite)
- Preise teilweise absolut überzogen
- nette Clublounge, Essen und Getränke lecker
- unterkühlte (im wahrsten Sinne) Hotel-Bar

Rated 1 out of 5 by traveltime2020 Consistently underperforming: Very unfriendly staff, not caring at all, late room availability, good room service, great location.
My wife and i spent a few days for a shopping and musical trip in London. Wanted to stay central for this and the Le Meridien seemed to be the right location. And the location and the quality of the room service is the only thing that is to favorably mention about this hotel.
We arrived late morning, and of course did only expect to drop our bags and get the room later. A nice touch to be offered to use the lounge, but a little disappointing to learn that they can not exactly say when the room would be available (had used Suite night upgrade awards to upgrade to an executive suite). Expectation was set that it might take up to 5pm (late checkout of last guest plus 1hr cleaning) for us to get the room. Even more disappointing was that when we came back at 5pm after a day in the city, the room was not only not available, but it took the front desk staff 15 minutes to figure out where we are in the process. Apparently cleaning had started 20 minutes ago and might be another 30 or so minutes. We waited in the club lounge. It took another hour (6:15) until someone told us the room was available. no one escorted us to the suite, which I would have expected after all the hassle. Baggage took another 15 minutes. So after a long day of travel and city we had 30 minutes to unpack and freshen up before leaving for the evening theatre. Heard a lot of "oh so sorry" which did not sound honest at any point in time. Would ahve expected at least a letter in the room at some point to apologize, or maybe a little plate of chocolate or anything. But seems that "oh so sorry" in a standard voice is all you get.
- hot water in the sink alternates between dripping and bursting out at the same setting
- concierge extremely unfriendly, does not necessarily call back to confirm restaurant reservations, packages that arrive are not delivered to the room but expected to be picked up at concierge desk, unfriendly for any recommendations bordering on snobby
- noise problems during the night apparently coming from the device that is involved with hot water, no fixing happened
- lounge staff closes up early and rudely pushes people out
- lounge tables often contain dirty dishes or crumbs and stains, chatting with colleagues is more important than cleaning the lounge
- at checkout problems to figure out the prepayment
The lady at checkout asked how the stay was, and my answer of "consistently underperforming" surprised. She wanted to know the reasons, took them down, spoke to her supervisor but on some of her notes was unable to explain what she meant with it. The supervisor fixed the prepayment difficulties, apologized again (they are quick with those words) and promised to look into this, and that they had my contact details to get back to me. Unfortunately she was out of business cards (so much in line with the overall impresion of the stay). Never heard back (2 weeks). Answered the standard request for feedback I got thru email, and got an email answer that assures me feedback is passed on, but in all honesty I doubt that this will have any impact. Expect to see the seem useless standard answer here.
The unfriendliness is a disgrace for the Le Meridien brand which I have come to like so much in some of the other properties I have stayed at recently and rated highly.
Bottom line: consistently underperforming.

Ich bin in dem Hotel bereits einige Male wegen der günstigen Lage abgestiegen. Die letzten Male zeichneten sich durch Zimmer aus, die ihren Preis nicht wert waren und Personal, das jedes Mal argumentierte, das Hotel sei ausgebucht und man könne leider an der Zimmerzuweisung nichts ändern. Das aktuelle Zimmer war sehr klein, die Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen und die Klimaanlage funktionierte als Heizung. In dem als Ausweich zur Verfügung gestellten Zimmer funktionierten die Fenster und die Klimaanlage ebenfalls nicht (wie sich später herausstellte) und das Zimmer war klaustrophobisch klein. Wegen der unerträglichen Luft war an einen gesunden Schlaf nicht zu denken.Außerdem gingen beide Zimmer nicht, wie telefonisch zugesagt, in den Innenhof, sondern auf die Straße. Das Personal sah sich zu einer Behebung des Zustandes nicht in der Lage. Die Gästemanagerin entschuldigte sich am nächsten Morgen, konnte das Erlebte aber natürlich nicht rückgängig machen. Das Hotel ist für mich "Wiederholungstäter", da mir diese Behandlung zum wiederholten Mal wiederfuhr. Ich werde das Hotel jetzt wechseln.

Have stayed at the hotel 7 times in the past 12 months mainly on business and once on a family weekend getaway.
For business it is always quiet, there are multiple locations in the hotel to work from ranging from your room to lounge to pool area to lobby. Very accommodating to the business traveler.
Great staff, location, impeccable room cleanliness and a management team very responsive and open to doing what they can to always make the hotel a memorable occasion.
Have stayed at all the other Starwood London hotels and recommend this one as best in class, a great mix of the traditional classic London lodging feel with a great staff.

We have stayed at this property quite a bit mainly because they always seem to look after us so well and the location is simply superb!
As I am usually there on a mixture of work and relaxation the club lounge and pool work really well! I hate being stuck in a room while working, it is much nicer being in the lounge. The fact there is a good size pool, hot tub and steam room also in the hotel is an added bonus!
This time the stay was over NYE, 3 nights and although being very busy they managed to upgrade to a suite which was greatly appreciated. They moved the breakfast from the Terrace to the 1st floor to give themselves more room and on the whole it worked well and nice to see a proactive solution to the situation!
The lounge staff are great and although several have changed over the last few months the new team see very friendly and helpful. Until the next visit wont be able to judge fully but I do get the feeling with the alchol a little bit of cost cutting going on. There always used to be a bottle of Cava or prosecco out for breakfast but now it is request only and some of the evening drinks spirits seem to have changed brand, not for the better altough this could have just been due to the very busy Christmas period and running out of stock of the usual ones so time will tell!
Overall though a great stay, couldnt have been made to feel any more welcome and had a great meal in the Terrace on New Years Day! Drinks in the bar were also very good although we miss the old bartender team in there!
