I didn't like how unprofessional the staff are; at least to me. When I pointed this out by saying to the receptionist to give me my ID and phone (for booking details) instead of placing them in front of her, she was offended and (I think) that's why she gave me a room so far away from the entrance. The reason I think that is; when I asked them to change it, the got me one so close. I need some kind of compensation because that was just a pure waste of time. I would like someone to contact me to clarify this matter further.

Staff Members seem to not communicate adequately amongst the various departments. During my stay this caused several delays as I had to explain several times the same issue to 2 or even 3 staff members.Cleaning should be more detailed, dusting was not done inside the drawers. Water supply was stopped without prior notice. Staff were unable to provide accurate info and time frames. I had to call 3 times. I was told it was a 10 minutes issue but took an hour. Cocktail napkins, glasses, spoons etc not always in place.

A long weekend stay in this superb Hotel was priceless. The staff were amazing and were allways smilling which created a brilliant atmosphere around the Hotel. The facilities in Hotel were superb and food served in the many Restaurants there was fantastic. One night my Daughter and i got back to the Hotel at 10 pm and went to the Irish Bar without freshening up first and within 30 mins i consumed 3 Guineses and a legendary allday breakfast (priceless). This is my first stay in Le Meridian and 7th visit in to Dubai in 13 years and say without any doubt that this Hotel was the best. 5 mins from airport and never heard a plane take off in the time i was there and a car was allways available to whisk me and my daughter off on sightseeing or shopping trips. It cant get any better.

I had a wonderful 4 night stay and this was my second stay in the last 3 months. I had the Superior Deluxe newly renovated room which was nice apart from the fact the single seat faces the TV and the couch faces the single seat; counterintuitive, since two people can't watch TV while sitting on the couch. The only inconveniences I encountered were the birds pecking at my window and singing at the morning, and every single morning out of the 4, waking me up at 6AM daily (nature's wake up call) and the housekeeping staff talking loudly outside the room at around 7AM daily, shortly after the birds daily ritual. Other than the previous 2 points, it was another exceptional stay with the best hospitality and facilities one can expect. Thank you again Le Meridien and see you again soon.

I always stay at this tole when I am in Dubai for many reasons, the staff are so friendly and courteous from the doorman, concierge, reception staff and cleaners, always greeting you with a smile and good day, plenty of restaurants to choose from -19 in the hotel and beautiful grounds with more than one swimming pool. The restaurants outside in The Village have nightly music too. One of the finest Royal Club Rooms ever making this one of the finest hotels to stay in when in Dubai, I love returning here.

What was good: the hotel is close to the airport and can be reached within 5 minutes, even by walk.
What was bad:
service, reception gave me wrong opening times of SPA and gym, early check-in declined.
concierge, asking for the well known gold souk and sheik saeed house, they guided me to Deira city center.
Facilities: old, used, dark. The equipement was not state of the art, TV small, AC very loud, lights dark. Bathroom accessories missing
Restaurants: expensive. Need to be suited during daytime (40°)

Staying for one night on a 10-hr layover between international flights. I checked-in late and was scheduled to depart at 5.00am. I had an early morning call booked for 4.30am. At approx 1.40am I had a call from reception requesting if I was scheduled for a flight to South Africia! Needless-to-say, this was most disruptive to my short sleep. When I was checking out I mentioned this call. My comments appeared not to have been taken very seriously and was brushed off by the check-out opertaor.

My only complaint was waiting for 30 mins for my room to be ready (I arrived around 1:20PM) but since I have informed the hotel a day before and also due to its proximity to the airport it should have been handled better i.e. offering me a drink while I wait. After check-in it was endless comfort and the best hospitality one could get and that's what makes Le Meridien worth it. I'll never stay anywhere else again after experiencing this hotel and it's exceptional highly trained and welcoming staff.

I have been using this Hotel since 1999 and it always fulfills my expectations and needs when travelling on business. Good service and facilities with more than enough Restaurants to suit all tastes. I particularly would recommend the Long Yin Chinese Restaurant where the food and service is first class. My only comment would be to have a choice of pillows as I always find the ones in the rooms too soft for my liking. If you are travelling through or staying on business its well worth a look at

Again, as on previous visits, the hotel has ticked all the boxes. Marvellous restaurants and bars, many different facilities. A special mention must go to the staff who play such an important role in ensuring that the stay is both welcoming and efficient. All staff from the moment you arrive until the time you leave and all in between have an excellent attitude with a "nothing is a problem" approach. This makes you feel very special. I would highly recomend Le Meridien and will return very soon.

Staff was very attentive to my needs.
As I was about to check out of the hotel, I realized I had a wrong bag which I picked up at airport the night before. The hotel staff assisted me in returning the bag to the rightful owner who happened to be one of the hotel guest. On my way to the airport, the staff made sure that I was provided a vehicle and a driver who waited and assisted me in claiming my bag at the airport arrival and then later helped me at the airport departure with my heavy bags.

Many positives about my stay in the Royal Club. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient and my room was quiet and comfortable. The one really niggling thing was that you charge for internet in the room. It might be free in the Club business centre, but it seems mean and money-grabbing to make a room charge for what is, these days, a basic facility. Also, I thought that the range of food on offer was very good but the quality was pretty average, particularly in the Mexican restaurant.

This is a terrible experience. Emirates Airways put me up here fro a few hours of transit and i could not believe it - the toilets were smelling, the staff were at best un friendly and the whole experience was bad leaving me to feel that maybe the staff believed that since this was a "free" stay sponsored by Emirates Airways, we guests will accept any thing.
Emirates Airways have their own checkin section . Maybe the regular checkin area and the rooms where you pay to stay are better .....

Love this hotel, from the minute I enter the doormen greeting you to the Executive club people always saying hi the whole staff basically. The room was awesome fruit basket to all of the staff at the Dining areas to the pool staff working at Dubliners and the mojitos they make there is the best in Dubai, And the Spa for massage, mens facial or manicure or pedicure they will take care of you if.and check out is a breeze and they always Thank you for staying there Like a Home away from home.

It is sad that the hotel is charging a fortune for WiFi. In the room I couldn't find any www address or phone number to the hotel. Neither were there any inhouse phone list. Phones were very old and not very user friendly. Bar and food expensive.The big swimming pool was extremely cold due to a broken heater. Impossible to swim there. However, the hotel staff is very service minded, friendly and professional. The health club is really very good and well equipped. Plenty of parking lots.

The stay was a nightmare as we had to stay in a room, which was a construction site and not finished. The whole night we had to try to sleep with lights on as there was a problem with the proximity switch of the lights. Whenever we tried to turn off the lights they went on again after a few minutes. Also we could not get a key for the room as the electronic lock was not working. The only way to open the door was to call the facility management of the hotel. Hairdryer and other necessary items have not been available due to the construction. We had to pay a mid range four figure amount of AED for a night with no sleep! As it was the night from 31/12/2012 to 01/01/2013 we had an excellent start into the new year! Photos and videos of the room and the issue with the lights can be submitted if required.

I stayed in this hotel as my connection with Emirates failed. When entering through the Emirates reception it looks like a Grade B hotel. The rooms at this end are also around Grade B standard.
However, once you leave this part of the hotel it is a lovely facility with three swimming pools and a dozen restaurants. The Emirates side of the hotel tells you nothing about facilities, so don't be fooled. Talk a walk and you will be amazed.

The rooms are an excellent size, with two large twin beds and plenty of room for a weekend stay. The hotel has some excellent facilities, with the Friday brunch at Yalumba restaurant being a particular highlight! The only complaint we had was having to pay for WiFi even in the main areas of the hotel - this was an unexpected expense in a hotel of this type. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and will be returning in the near future next time I am staying in Dubai for the weekend.

I have been to Dubai about 5 or 6 times in the last couple years, and the only Hotel I have ever stayed was the Le Meridien Airport.
I was there again for 2 nights this week and because of a business delay needed to stay one more evening. I was very disappointed they could not find a room for me to extend my stay one more night, and even more disappointed when I discovered they made this exception for the two colleagues I was traveling with.
So much for loyalty programs.

I normally stay in Dubai on business and have stayed in most of the hotels over the years. However this was a small break for my wife and I. Knowing the layout of the Meridian having had stayed there several times. I decided to book 5 days. We had a fabulous time from the moment we entered the door to being dropped of at the airport. The staff are exceptional and a credit to the mangers, Restaurants and bars also superb. We will be back and we can recommended this hotel to anybody.

I did not have high expectations prior to my arrival knowing that this hotel is an old one, but I was surprised when I entered my room and found everything I needed. This is what the 5 star hotel in the old golden days offered. The breakfast was also a surprise as it was great and offered everything. The hotel is so close to the airport and you only allow 10 minutes for it. The Sea Food is among the best in town.

Having stayed at the Le meridien hotel on numerous occasions, the hotel/staff have never failed to exceed my expectations. The staff are courteous, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I would like to add a special mention to the Royal Club manager, August, who is a real credit to the hotel.
Le Meridien hotel is a home from home.
One minor note I would like to make, you do not offer SPG points. Are you looking into this, or is it going to stay as a no reward hotel?

This hotel is so close to the airport that you can almost smell the jet fumes...not really, thankfully. The trip to the hotel is literally five minutes, making for a painless transfer after a long flight.
The rooms and the staff are probably the best aspects of this hotel...clean spacious rooms, with staff throughout who are pleasant, friendly and efficient.
If that weren't enough, the selection of restaurants is impressive...though I somehow keep returning to The Warehouse.

Excellent service from check-in to check-out.
Room service was very prompt and responsive to my order/needs. I enjoyed the complimentary beer and fruit basket. One note, trying to connect to the internet was very difficult. I had to call for assitance twice and finally was awarded a voucher to get connected (took about 30 minutes). Other than that breakfast was awesome and again the entire staff was responsive to me needs. Enjoyed the stay and \.will be back in the future,

I chose this hotel based on location and free parking. Staff were pleasant but I would not say exceptionally and did not seem that they would go out of their way, except for the evening manager and housekeeping staff.
Room service was fine.
Wake up calls on time.
I liked my room on the ground floor and the French doors opened towards the pool and garden which was fab as I did not have to walk through the lobby. Perfect place to unwind after a long day.
The room was noisy. The people across the hall and next door could be heard all night and so on a business trip with a bad night sleep was not enjoyable. The sound proofing should be improved.
The facilities and amenities were great although I did not use all.
In general the hotel feels 'tired' and could use some upgrading.
Overall I would go back and stay again.

Bathroom was old and small, I don't think that you'll seen a bathroom like this one in another five stars hotel. There's a lot of work around the hotel they are building new facilities and the vieuw was not protect from this mess...Air conditioned is noisy, very noisy, not at the level of this kind of hotel. Whatever the staff was very good and the hotel is clean. My wife and my children will go there at the end of august I hope for them a better stay, i'll let you know

I was incredibly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were efficient in assisting us with whatever we needed, and they responded thoughtfully to our requests. We were in one of the rooms that had not yet been renovated, but it was still clean, well-furnished, and with a great patio that led to the pool. We dined in several of the restaurants, and all of the service staff were of a very high standard. I would definitely stay here again.

Old room, but comfortable. Very poor bathroom
The Club Rotana services are not as good as competitors. For examples to obtain a second serving of canapés is not easy with staff making you feel like you are asking for the earth. The Club staff are not the best, very slow. The impression is that the can't wait to go home.

We spent 8 nights at this hotel and were very impressed with our stay, The new years celebrations were 1st class. We had the royal club package and this was the highlight for us as the the staff were amazing especially the manager augustus and josephine how made sure we always had great service and plenty to eat & drink.
Also the pool staff were very attentive and helpfull although the toilets in those areas could do with more cleaning.
The large choice of resturants and bars was ideal as you dont have to travel to eat well.
The only down side was the jules bar which the food was not to the same standard as the others and they have ladies of the night working there which was surprising to see in Dubai.
Overall i would say this is avery comfortable and well run hotel and would hope to return, Thanks for a wonderfull holiday.

I have stayed in many Le Meridien Hotels around the world for many years. In the UAE I have been a client of Le Meridien Abu Dhabi since it opened many years ago.
This was the first time at Le Meridien Dubai and undoubtedly the best choice made. The hotel is beautiful, excellent location, one doesn't feel like one is in town due to the lovely gardens, the facilities are excellent, the staff is very courteous, helpful, cannot do enough for you and make you feel like you are the only guests.
This hotel offers so much that it is quite easy to not wish to go anywhere at all during one's stay and simply enjoy each day there.
We were staying in the Royal Club section, it was simply wonderful.
Thank you to everyone there. We shall most definitely come back.
My only negative comment is that it doesn't participate to the SPG program.
