Rated 5 out of 5 by Really nice people I spent two nights here in May. The room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. There was an issue with the room being too hot, but the very nice staff responded immediately and this issue was settled quickly. The people who work there were very, very nice and cared for the comfort of their guests. The food at the local restaurant was excellent Italian fare. This was a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend this hotel enthusiastically! Thanks for everything! I will be back! May 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Freindly and well located The hotel was well located except its a bit too far form the Airport Bus stop to walk over with bags. Staff were friendly and recognised my Gold Status and were ready to help with anything. One glitch - even though we booked as a couple, there was only one bathrobe, one bottle of complimentary water, one bar of soap etc- in short the set up was for single occupancy. and it took a day or so to sort this out. Otherwise, a very nice 3.5 to 4 star property with friendly and helpful staff. July 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by montreal Rooms need some updating, esp. the bathrooms. Valet/Bell Staff service was bad. Checked in after a snow storm, I pulled up in front of the hotel and the Bell/Valet informed me it was a bus stop and told me to pull around to the side. Neither the spaces nor the sidewalk were clear and he never came to assist me with my bag. Breakfast in the morning was very overpriced and I was served cold toast both days. Front Desk, housekeeping and the night staff in the rest were all very nice. March 22, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Thieves We had planned to stay at this property for 4 days and left after 1 night. Boutique hotel it is not. Very average rooms, bathroom not so clean, food terrible. We were given an upgrade (sounds good!) Upon check in and were told that continental breakfast was included. Next morning had "breakfast" (toast w peanut butter-rest of food was canned or not well prepared) and was subsequently charged $50!! Explained situation to front desk and manager who basically called us liars. Most likely trying to recoup cost of our upgrade. Never ever had this happen before-totallly stole money from us. Would NEVER trust such an establishment who mistreats guests this way. Went to W Montreal-amazing, true "boutique" hotel. Even they were horrified when they heard our story and gave us a real "free" upgrade. LMS are thieves. August 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely but Housekeeping below expectations We have stayed at Le Meridien many times over the years and have always appreciated the outstanding front desk staff and restaurant service, the rooms, and general ambiance. This stay however the housekeeping was actually substandard. Surfaces were not cleaned, especially in the bathroom, amenities were not restocking, not enough towels in the bathroom, and one morning cleaning staff turned up at 8:15 am to clean. This was disappointing. That aside, the stay was otherwise great. July 21, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent ... but a great hotel and staff, have stayed there many times! i attend an event in Montreal that requires me to pre-pay for three night in advance...we stay at total of 4 night.... 4 months in advance. the hotel then puts a hold on my credit card for the pre-paid nights! I have spoken to management on this issue before my stay and was assured it was aginst policy and would not happen...... it happened again. the dest manager resolved it, but there is no excuse for this happening !!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Welcoming and Professional Staff Our most recent stay at the Meridien was in January 2012. We have been staying at this hotel for the last 6 years and have not been disappointed. Yes, there are rooms without a view other than the high rise next door, but there are also rooms looking out over Sherbrooke. What makes this hotel special is the welcoming, professional, and helpful staff. We are SPG members and were upgraded even though we were redeeming points for this stay. We look forward to our next visit. January 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our new favourite hotel. We spent 3 days here in November and we're looking forward to returning. We arrived early and accepted a downgrade from the executive room we'd booked in order to get into a room earlier. We weren't sorry we did. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant staff were super as well. The sommelier went above and beyond in helping us with a sauternes. Staff are all young professionals and that bodes well for their employers. Rated 4 out of 5 by Service makes up for worn feel This is my second stay with Meridien. I am very pleased with the service. The hotel is worn but comfortable enough and clean enough. It felt a little dirty because of the carpet but I know it is due to age. The staff more than makes up for it though. The restaurant in the building is not very good either but the hotel is close to great restaurants! I will be back. I was told that they are renovating so I'm sure that the negatives of this review will be fixed. August 29, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Friendly staff, good location - needs updating My daughter and I stayed in a King Suite for two nights. The room was a corner, all glass and large. We could not get the room to reach a comfortable temperature no matter how hard we tried to reduce the heat. The wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling and there were toenail clippings on the floor even after housekeeping came. Overall - this hotel has nice staff but it's dated and not as clean as one would expect. It's also not a typical "full service" hotel. May 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by What we've come to expect This hotel is probably one of Montreal's best kept secrets. We discovered it several years back and have not stayed anywhere else since. It is a BOUTIQUE hotel. If you want a large fancy one, this is not for you. If you want great and friendly service, a nice comfrtable clean room try it. The staff makes you feel like family and bend over backwards to accomodate. Only problem this trip wasour was during a cold spell and the hallways were quite chilly. January 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy Access, Staff were friendly From beginning to end the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. We used the valet parking which was great- a little pricey, but this is a big city, and the convenience was perfect. I like a firmer bed, but if you like the poofy, softer top beds, it was good. I liked the style of decor, but it was tired. I'm told they are in for a total renovation, and it is due. The only negative was the grout in the shower and the showerhead were gross August 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Weekend maid service Thursday and Friday's maid service was excellent. On Saturday and Sunday the towels were not replenished in sets of 3. We did receive 3 hand towels but no bath mat and only 2 bath towels plus one wash cloth. The regular coffee, paper cups and creamer were not replenished. The front desk staff was awesome!!! When we requested higher wattage bulbs for the bathroom mirror, two 100 watt bulbs repalced the 40 watt bulbs, immediately!!! September 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good hotel for the price Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are a bit dated, but from what I understand, they are working on renovations. Not as centrally located yet not too far from all the major activities like old port etc. Bed was reasonably comfortable. We stayed in a junior suite yet it only had two towels. The staff did not replenish items as they should have, however, on request they were quickly supplied. Excellent value for money!! September 6, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick visit We were only in Montreal for one night, arrived at Le Meridien at 2100 and out at 0730 the next morning, so not a lot of time to relax. However, our room was very nice, a little small, but it had all the usual amenities including a mini bar. The bed was very comfortable (I didn't miss my own mattress for once!) and the room was exceptionally clean. i will definitely consider Le Meridien for my next stay in Montreal. July 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Newly Renovated Room I was given a newly renovated room. The shower faucet wasnt working properly and was failrly loose in the wall. I enjoyed the room's decor but the broken faucet affected water pressure. That being said I had no need to switch to a different room or was too concerned. I did report the malfunction but I am unsure why the cleaning staff did not mention this to the management in advance of my arrival. Paul. November 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good and Reasonable Hotel is conveniently located Down Town Montreal, within walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping. It is also reasonably priced. When arriving by car be prepared to wonder where car drop off is. There was nobody in front of the front entrance to guide and there are no signs directing you to drive around the corner where you can use valet service or park yourself. May 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic experience This was our first time and it won't be our last. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to dinner and breakfast. There is a SAQ a couple blocks away that we walked to, got a bottle of wine, and relaxed in the jetted tub. The Metro is close-by. The room was spacious with a fantastic view. Thank you Le Meridien for the amazing experience. March 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Close walk to Rue St. Catherine! GREAT HOTEL! Close proximity to the best shopping Montreal has to offer! The hotel is situated 2 blocks from Rue St. Catherine and you will encounter fabulous restaurants and boutiques the moment you step outside the door. The room was very comfy cozy and the front desk staff at check-in was helpful with directions and recommendations. Certainly will stay here again. January 9, 2012

Recently upgraded and renovated, but unfortunately it still looks and feels as if it was recently touched-up. Very polite and professional staff. Overall nice, clean and quiet. Great location. Rated 1 out of 5 by Needs work... We stayed in the hotel attending the RBC Cdn Open. We initially wanted to stay at Le Centre Sheraton Hotel which is a terrific hotel but was talked into trying Le Meridien by reservations as it was described as a boutique hotel with charm. When we arrived at a fairly late hour with our children, the A/C in the room was not working and the room was stifling. To the staff's credit, they were responsive and offered us a better room which we took, but it constituted us having to move our kids that were asleep, along with all our luggage to the next room. While the next room was nicer with a working A/C unit, it was one of the unrenovated rooms and it showed. The washroom was very dated as was the furniture. The TV reception was poor and the A/C unit ended up breaking again (it was fixed but clearly the hotel is in dire need of an overhaul). In short, it was a disappointing hotel to stay at but staff was friendly and did all they could. I would not recommend a stay there until they have fully renovated the hotel (fixing all A/C units would be a start as they are extremely old). I wish I stayed at Le Centre Sheraton Hotel instead. Rated 4 out of 5 by good hotel, but needs some room repairs Jr Suite was very nice. Staff very professional, friendly and helpful. Front desk efficient and fast. However, the toilet did not work properly. The water closet did not refill after usage. New AC thermostat is faulty. It shuts down at night and room gets hot. Suggestion: The minibar needs some additional room to keep guest's food cold. I would stay again. MikeB. August 30, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love staying at Le Meridien Stayed on March 14 and really appreciated staff went out of their way to ensure requests after last visit were met for this visit. Also appreciate as I stay regularly at least 6 times a year when teaching at Concordia the staff address me by my name. My wife and I love the newly renovated rooms. Hotel is close to shopping and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. March 16, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Horrible Experience This hotel looks nothing like the pictures on the website. I was checked into a room on the SPG level (Room 1051) and the room was old, not up to date, and located next to the elevator. Heard elevator noises throughout the night, got woken up very early in the morning due to people talking next to the elevator, hotel maintenance work, and doors slamming. July 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent location I would like to congratulate all of the staff at the reception of the Merdien, Montreal. All of them without any exception were first class, amazng service, always exceeding expectations. The breakfast service is not good but it is outsourced at a restaurant called Ridi, it is not good and expensive for what it is. the restaurant service is mediocre. November 8, 2012
