Having visited 2 years ago we left feeling this hotel was the ultimate, it was perfect. However, this visit has not lived up to the outstanding reputation it had, in a class of its own.
At breakfast in the Royal Club lounge, on more than one occasion used plates and crockery were not cleared away, we had to ask. They were out of a particular tea we liked, after the first day, we were never able to get it again. 7 o clock in the morning the restaurant had run out of brown toast.
There was mildew on the shower tiles, overall the room decoration is now tired looking. The lock on the balcony door did not work.
At the main beach towel facility, we were sent away to a different one, even though there were towels available.
That being said, beach staff were courteous, efficient and always looking to help, as were main door staff. Overall, the hotel has lost it's edge on the perfection it previously had, disappointing considering this time we had paid to upgrade to the tower rooms.

Kids club is fascinating.
Nice food and variety of restaurants.
Receptionist attitude and knowledge about the hotel to be enhanced.

I came to Le Meridian and was at first impressed by the hotels appearance.
At check in I was informed that I was being upgraded to a superior suite which was a great surprise. The receptionist walked with me to another building and waited while I checked in. She also offered me a great juice of lemon with mint which was very refreshing.
The room as I entered had a strange old smell to it so I commented on this and was moved to another room immediately which was great.
Room was big, clean and had everything I required.
My sleep was quiet and very good on the soft beds and great pillows.
Breakfast was good with lots of variety.
The pool was very nice and not crowded which allowed me to relax for the afternoon.
In the evening the hotel is literally a 2 minute walk from the famous JBR.
Taxis were always available and I was greeted by employees always making you feel like youre at home.
Check out was smooth and fantastic.
I would recommend this to both single people and families.

My overall experience at this hotel was good. The features and rooms were great. However, I had a few inconveniences which consisted of the following:
1) the original room assigned to me had loud construction going on outside so I called the front desk to complain. After waiting over 45 minutes for someone to return my call, the guest services director upgraded me to a much larger suite which was nice.
2) there was an incident with my toilet where I flushed it and the water came shooting up and out. Thank god I put the lid down before I flushed it!! Gross

What a great hotel. Lovely room 210 great view nice balcony the only drawback with the room is there is no separate shower and its quite a step to get in and out of the bath.
Fabulous grounds with great pools and a nice beach.
The restaurants we went to in the hotel were all nice.
The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and polite and help make our stay.
The only down side to our week here was the check in we had to wait almost 3 hours to get to our room.We did receive a written apology and a personal visit from the guest service manager,which was a nice touch but I feel could have been dealt with better.
Overall a great stay with a 41/2 star from us.

Le Royal Meridian is a lovely hotel but it is the staff that make it special. Always ready to help and always with a smile. The hotel itself is a hotel with good grounds both the grounds and the hotel are very well looked after. The pools are lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds all around. It is a very nice large hotel

Great hotel - rooms fine and kept very clean every day. Fresh fruit , plenty of bottled water and clean bed linen when requested. The staff were attentive and very pleasant. The only "but " we have concerns the cost of eating in the hotel. For example £23 for fish and chips and a whopping £43 for lamb chops was too much and we ate out except for breakfast which was charged at £25 per head - was very varied and of good quality. The hotel was a bit far from the main/older part of Dubai, but the rail link and many taxis helped to get into town.

We love this location. Great view, great location, great amenities.
One thing we would like to add is that your staff need more training to be to the level of resort classification.
Greeting the gust is missing, good service at the restaurant is below average.
The room finishes need to be refreshed.

All is good,staff are excellent, facilities are good, although some not available due to upgrading, but now i find very expensive, especially food and drinks, needs reviewing.

We were upgraded from Deluxe room to Superior Deluxe which was good. Room was comfortable and well proportioned. Service was excellent. Spa facilities were very good and most enjoyable.
Wifi was slow and also one had to log in every time one came back into the room which was frustrating.

I can not believe and understand that the hotel accept and allows how people visit the sauna. Totaly prohibited and unhealthy. Don't use the towels in the way how to do. Some even without towel. Solution.: Ask 50 dhs for use, so only people will visit who know how to di it

A good hotel with very enthusiastic staff, but lacked that natural five star feel. Not helped by construction work going on every day under our "superior delux sea view room", the window whistling all night from the gale outside and the broken shower.

Room are good
Beach is nice
Food is good ==> especially dinner in Mexican restaurant Maya
Staff is always friendly and helpfull
Only one negative aspect is the weak and instable wifi

This was my first stay at the hotel, which was to my expectations. the wide range of dining facilities, swimming pools, large outdoor spaces make the hotel a good attraction for holidays as well as business.

We were upgraded on arrival to a Club room, but this did not come with access to Tea/cocktail lounge as standard. That would have made the stay even more exceptional, though I appreciated the upgrade.
ALL the staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough, including the lifeguards on the beach.
The food was very good in all the restaurants but, for me, seemed too expensive generally. Pools and garden were immaculate. I would highly recommend Le Royal Meridien Spa & Beach Resort.

Love the hotel, the quality of service, the location and the facilities. Getting rather expensive here (and in Dubai more generally). The hotel was very quite, probably due to the new "Beach Walk" area attracting hotel guests in the evening. Meridien need to do more to attract guests & non-residents back to the hotels excellent facilities and location.

We were told we had been upgraded and we had not. We were told we had good views and we overlooked a building site. We were not advised of what was included in our package so we missed out on what was included in our package i,e transfers from the airport etc. The tower was being refurbished directly above our suite so the room was not habitable during the day. KW

I must admit that this time round, I was disappointed with my stay at the hotel. For the first time we booked the Royal Tower expecting superior service and amenities to the Business Tower where we normally stay. To our surprise, the Tower is undergoing construction work which starts at 8.00 am on the dot with very heavy drilling on the balcony below (no restful sleep in!!). In the business Tower we usually enjoy the afternoon tea and early evening cocktails, which are no existent in the Royal Tower. In short you end paying a lot more for the privilege of staying at The Royal Tower but you get a lot less for your money, you get woken up at 8.00 am, everyday, you do have a lounge facility and the room is about the same size maybe even smaller. Unfortunately the gym was also closed for 4 days and had to use the Grosvenor one during the closure.

Great position. Most restaurants are excellent although the buffet was a let down. The Mexican restaurant is closed for refurbishment.
