best hotel i have ever been! everything was great the room, the food, but the most great was the attitude of the staff ,,so kind ,so helpfull, so nice and smilling and patiance. i will recommed to my friends for sure . thank you very much for everything

I stayed in the hotel for 1 week, attending a conference. The location is excellent, public bus station right in front of the hotel. Lots of facilities around. The atmosphere is very formal, staff helpful, but could be with more attitude. Breakfast ok, takes too long to get coffee!

Dear General Manager,
I booked the highest room category your property has to offer just to be confronted after check-in that water was dripping from the ceiling in my bedroom. In addition the room needed improvements regarding cleanliness etc. I'm quite disappointed that you take so little pride in your top room category "Executive Suite".
After confronting the reception with my experience, your staff wanted to downgrade me to Junior Suite as no Executive Suite was available as this was explained to me. Not the slightesed attemped was made for any kind of compensation etc. just the usual sorry note.
I was told that I may enjoy the club lounge until another Exec.Suite might be available. It was also promised that I would be contacted about proceeding. However, this did not happen and your staff seemingly just forgot about a guest. After 3h waiting and no response, I went again to the front desk being greeted by another staff member who was not filled in the problem at hand.
So the entire Spiel started again. No honest apology, no complementary whatever, nothing to make up for this kind of worst experience possible.
At the end I got again an Exec.Suite, but only because I insisted of this category...very disturbing!
I expect this kind of treatment with a low budget travel agency but not with a 5 star hotel and a booked room costing ca. 420€ per night.
Also the the Duty Manager was not in reach and excused, even though I wanted to speak him/ her.
Dear General Manager, if you like to turn around this example of a very negative experience, I am happy to jear from asap with a true guesture of class hotel

On arrival staff were very helpful and in fact we were checked in by a lovely trainee who was very gracious and friendly. She was a little unsure but advised on this and got a colleague to help. We were upgraded to a beautiful club suite and as was the case with all but one member of staff they were exceptionally helpful. The room was spacious, with a separate lounge area, 2 bathrooms and had 3 lovely balconies. The club lounge was great and had nice hot items for breakfast. The only little niggle was one of the staff in the club lounge, Aida, was not as helpful as other staff but I did bring this to the hotels attention.

We were very pleased with our stay, which confirms the positive experience we had in the past. The hotel location is good, so are the facilities - free parking, club lounge, pool and solarium on top floor. We enjoyed a very courteous and efficient welcome at check in and our platinum membership was honoured with an upgrade to a huge suite with a nice bay view.
Only criticism: the entrance at ground level has a sad look which does not reflect the quality level of the hotel... please do something, Le Meridien Malta deserves more and better!

First allocated room did not correspond to our reservation, we changed room after one night. The second room was OK except for an awful smell in the bathroom. Was not corrected despite of our claim, but we did not want to change another time.

Stayed for a three-night weekend break. Outstanding level of service, comfort and cleanliness, on par with high-end Le Méridien properties elsewhere in Europe and the Americas. Management, concierge and staff were very attentive, courteous and exceeded expectations when attending to a number of special requests. SPG recognition meant upgrade to a very fine suite with Bay view. The spa and gym are top notch, though they are open to non-hotel guests, so can be quite busy at weekends. Will definitely return when next visiting Malta.

This hotel is realy lovely, excellent location, great pool & spa, only bad pionts are rooms to front of hotel noisey at night, drinks very expensive, wi fi very poor, but I would be happy to stay there again.

When i checked in, no less than 3 people introduced themselves to me and called me and offered me any drink of my choice as a freebie! Then the lead front desk agent introduced me to the concierge as an Ambassador Guest who then showed me the property premises.
Upgraded to a HUGE suite with 2 balconies, 2 FULL bathrooms and on top of that, they comped my breakfast plus 500 points!
The view was sooo nice as well. I LUV it!

I was attending an event at the Portomaso casino and had a choice between staying at this hotel (which is a nice 15 minute walk along the bay) or a closer one. I ended up choosing the Meridien as the SPG point options were more attractive.
I was not disappointed. It's not the W of course, but much nicer than many of the North American category 3s I have stayed at. What really stood out was the service -- very professional service at the front desk (Gabriel and Kevin), a friendly concierge who addresses you by name (Innocent), and hard working staff in the Club Lounge (Aida). What made the stay even better was all the little things: wine and chocolates in the room, anticipating my need for a North American adaptor, cappuccinos and welcome drinks in the lounge, a chat with the chef on Maltese night in the restaurant, 20% off all food with an SPG card, and ensuring my request for a feather-free room was met before I arrived.
As a platinum member, I appreciated the room upgrade (great view) as well as the breakfast options. I also "splurged" on a spa package, and that was excellent and frankly, amazing value! I did note that the pool in the spa was a bit of a zoo... I don't think it was restricted to paying spa guests. No big deal, but be forewarned.
Many nice restaurants around. Easy to get to sightseeing buses, Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is totally worn-out, everything is faded (would need a big maintenance work), residual smell of sewage inefficiency, breakfast restaurant was awful (big waiting time because of lack of personnel to clean up tables, poor choice). Other restaurant closed for 5 days; except for New Years Eve and the food and beverage experience was extremely poor

Just enjoyed a last-minute week-long break at Le Meridien. We were given a really lovely room with a large balcony overlooking Balluta Bay and, although almost December, it was warm enough to sit out and enjoy some late sun. We didn't use the pool but the roof-top terrace and pool area is amazing. Standards at the hotel are extremely high and all of the staff we encountered were exceptionally professional, courteous and helpful - attention to detail and desire to ensure that your stay is as good as it can possibly be. The breakfast buffet had a vast array of foods to choose from including some cooked to order as you required - really delicious and very much spoilt for choice of what to have. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and wine and chocolates were delivered to our room by the hotel - a really nice touch!

Excellent service, provided by a very professional team. Several concerns about the room were very quickly dealt with from changing the room to a non-smoking one, requesting extra tea & coffee to adding breakfast to our stay. The only concern that does need addressing (and we have come across this with one other 5 star hotels in Malta that we no longer stay during the winter months) and that is the total absence of any heating for the chilly evenings in November. Our request was met with the fact there was only cooling facility to the air-con until a changeover was made later in the year and the receptionist could not tell me when that would be! There were no heaters available and therefore put your coat on? If Malta & the Meridien want to impress the tourist industry, (there was a large delegation being entertained during our stay) and stand out as a true 5 star and not a Maltese 5 star hotel this needs to be addressed. Not sure how one of the travel industry representatives would have been dealt with if they felt a chill in their room?

This is the forth time we have stayed at the Le Meridien, we can only praise all the staff for a very warm and welcome on arrival. Facilities excellent - service first class. The Ideal hotel for a holiday views and local service great, will surely visit them again in the near future.

Perfect location. Great rooms, Great staff that is multilingual and very helpful at all times, parking for free of rental car at property and the view looking out the med sea was just perfect. This sure was the most prositive surprise we ever had at any hotel in the last year while on tour. being recognized as a "guest" sure makes a big difference. We felt very welcomed!

At first concerned that we did not have a sea view room, we came to appreciate the quite room overlooking the car park. all staff were very attentive especially Joseph on front desk and Rita in restaurant. Brian our barman was fantastic. We shall surely visit again soon, but why don't you promote The Villa?

Very bad WIFI quality. Came here with my partner as he was on business and almost every day they had to reset the router so that the WiFi would work for a few hours then stop.

With 5 hard work days in a row - it was a pelasure to come back to my room and relax on the balcony (not something I normally do. A great hotel, well situatued, with proactive, friendly staff. Service was quick and always beyond expectations. Highly recommended for business and pleasure.

location is great, in the middle of every thing.. close enough to get by bus or take walks..
the only disadvantage is no internet in the rooms, but you have it in the lobby..
one of the beds was not comfortable, and squeaky. other that that it was an excellent, enjoyable stay.

We stayed a total of 6 days at the Le Meridien and booked our stay through Starwood Preferred Guest using our SPG points. When we arrived, we were pleased to be upgraded to an executive suite, which comes with access to the executive suite lounge. The lounge included breakfast and light lunch, which included a free open bar. The room, itself, was very nice with a king size bed that was to our liking (we like firm mattresses) as well as a separate bath and shower. Our view had a balcony which overlooked the bay. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Within the hotel was a spa, which we used twice. There is also a sightseeing office where you can book trips through. The public bus is just outside of the hotel, there is a small bay/beach area that is open to the public outside the hotel (and many others within walking distance). Many shops/restaurants in the area nearby.

The LeMeridian and staff certainly rank amongst the best in the world and hotels I ever stayed in.
I had a 6 night stay and this was magnificent as was the room. Tony, the concierge,, was remarkable and displayed top rank people skills. The chasing of the lost luggage by Emirates was astounding and fund in our room the next day after our first day out.
The only comment I have if I had to make one is that on our return stay after a Europe trip and for our last 3 nights, the room requested was admittedly booked with limited sea views only we found ourselves in a room at the back with no glimpse of water anywhere. Seriously not an issue and would never deter me from staying at the Le Meriian St Julians. In fact. I now know precisely what room to book and look forward to my return.
The events manager Cristine was also extremely helpful in organising a small family get together. I was amazed at the amount of effort and attention she gave regardless of the small number.
Congratulations, Le Meridian St Julians. Top class

Great rooms, superb breakfast, may be the best I have had. Good concerge service. Nice Pool area on the roof, very central location.
We had to wait for a long time to get the rooms on the day we checked in, seemed they were a bit overbooked. Also when asking for someone to pick up laundry we called three times within one and a half hours and the reception always said they would send someone right away, but no one came. Appart for these two inconvinices the staff were always very polite and service minded. I would stay there again.
