Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel needs help My stay was awful, the heater in the room continuously dripped, the shower had mold and the staff interrupted my sleep and woke me up at 8:00 am because they needed to get to the electrical box located in my room. Also, I had tons of bags and the concierge did not help me at all, they were too busy talking to each other. December 11, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not all that! The decor was nice, the beach view was great but that's about it. Shower sucked, water kept changing temperature and kept sputtering. Balcony light was set to 8:30PM. Ahh, in December the sun sets around 5:30pm. I called to request to have the light turned on earlier... nobody returned my call or did anything about it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Loud Party - No complimentary WiFi On our last night there was a very loud party above our heads until after 11 pm. We had a baby in the room trying to sleep and we wanted to get some sleep before we got up at 2 am to catch a plane. We were not happy. No complimentary WiFi in your room. You are welcome to sit in the lobby and conduct your business. November 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location to Highway & Beach The room was spacious and bright. Although the linen was clean, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. Parking was convenient, however, the self parking lot was filled so I had to valet. I observed non-guests parking in garage and walking up the block. Breakfast was delicious, and convenient. Rated 3 out of 5 by Some shortcomings with the room, nice public spaces On 2nd floor, too noisy since too close to public areas. No real view. Room; smelly (like someone had smoked there). Mirror in bathroom missing Lamp shade to patio missing with open wires TV control did not work properly I guess these things did not get found out since few people would stay in this room. Rated 1 out of 5 by Small Dismal and Overpriced We are a family of three. This hotel is old, with small, dark, dirty rooms. Amenities are over priced (a casual lunch, ie. sandwiches and water, was priced at over $50 for 3 people) and parking is a NIGHTMARE. We will not be staying here again. The only thing great about this hotel is the location. August 8, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Where is the coffee? I know, it sounds petty, but I was here on a business trip, so gotta have my cup of joe! They told me the hotel was out of coffee packets for the rooms' coffee makers. So we'll bring you some. Never showed up. So I got dressed and went down to the Club Lounge. No coffee there either!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrific stay in Santa Monica California The Delfina is a wonderful hotel in the Starwood Chain. Great location within walking distance to all the action in Santa Monica. Yes it is a smaller property but great service and attentive staff. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need to be in this particular area of Los Angeles. March 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A changed perception We checked in on Friday evening and our room was not ready. Something about a short staff that day. We were moved to the 9 th floor which was fine but a party was going on in the penthouse so the kids did not get to sleep. We were also next to the service elevator which kept going intermittently. Self Parking was unavailable so we valeted but at 20 a day, a bit steep. The receptionist did give us free wi if for the inconvenience but as a spy member I should have had that anyway. The next evening the adjacent room had noise until 3 am. Loud talking and tv as if they were in our room. We complained to DJ the next morning and he was fabulous. He had us move rooms , put us in the Sheraton club, which we were unaware of and made us feel like we wanted to feel on vacation. DJ took over and made us feel very welcome. It is employees such as DJ that turned us around on our entire experience! Thank you for empowering your employees at the point of customer contact and thank you for DJ and his warm smile. Rated 3 out of 5 by Parking with reservation was awful We reserved parking for self parking and our space was not available the same night three times and cones we removed!!!! I demanded to have free valet as we are a four star elite owner!!!! Not happy with the parking situation at all!!! We had to request valet it was not asked of us!!!! February 18, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible hotel for SPG Platinum members Wifi was so slow we couldn't use it. The club lounge is by the pool and no one monitors it so nothing was available. Valet is really slow. Used my suite night reward and was in a low floor and really loud. Not worth using up my reward. Not impressed and will not be coming back. November 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Housekeeping I was disappointed in the housekeeping service. I had to call the desk everyday with a list of things not replaced, ie, coffee, soap, creamer, etc. Valet service and desk were very good. Rooms on 2nd floor average. There was an apartment pool right outside our only sliding door. August 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice rooms, well maintained Good hotel fairly central in Santa Monica. Rooms were nice with OK views. Great, friendly staff. Good bar/lounge area. Only negative is wish it were a few blocks closer to the beach, it's a little bit of a walk to the Pier or other areas, not bad, but wish it was a bit closer. October 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice but too many fees nicely remodeled, but wi-if and valet parking should be free. there is inadequate free self parking spots so paying the $20 valet charge is inevitable if you leave the hotel. who charges for in-room wifi nowadays? will go somewhere else next time to avoid these inconveniences. Rated 5 out of 5 by friendly and helpful staff We have stayed at this hotel a few times, but this time we brought our dog. It was a pleasure to be so comfortable in our surroundings. We were always greeted warmly when we pulled up to the entrance of the hotel. We love all the new renovations, another great job by starwood. September 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Recent stay at Sheraton Delfina Overall experience was positive. Good location for Santa Monica and only a few minutes from the pier and 3rd Street Promenade. Front desk staff was helpful. However need for improvement in terms of house keeping. Communicating doors between rooms are not soundproof. January 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Terrible bathroom lighting. Traveled in town for a business meeting and getting ready was impossible due to the dim flickering lights in bathroom. I asked maintenance to fix it and he tried with no success. The maintenance man was very kind and helpful through out the stay I should note. January 22, 2013

I think a warning that self park spaces may be full if returning late after Christmas mid night service. A little confusion upon our return but frony desk staff took care of situation admirably... Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Hotel services is excellent, free self-park parking garage, large rooms, and great value. December 27, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs some work While our stay at the Sheraton Delfina was not horrible, it was far from what I have come to expect of the Starwood brand. First, the main elevator was broken and the stairwell didn't actually connect to the lobby making getting around the hotel difficult. When we first checked in, the front desk clerk sent us to the wrong room, so obviously our keys did not work and then when a manager came to assist us, he actually tried to put us into a room where another guest was already staying. Also, we had received two packages at the hotel during our stay and the staff only delivered one of the two. The other, we had to ask for repeatedly, and then I had to walk down the stairs to retrieve it because the staff was "busy". Finally, we were staying there for a wedding and the bride had delivered Welcome Bags to the hotel with information about the events of the weekend in them. The staff did not provide the welcome bags to most of the guests staying at the hotel for the wedding and we were only able to get our Welcome Bag after negotiating with the front desk clerk to receive it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel It is two and half blocks away from the beach. The hotel is nice. However, the Wi-Fi is not stable and one side of the sidewalk is under construction so it is a bit inconvenient. The breakfast is a bit pricy. February 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible Experience Where do I start?. From the moment we walked in, the key system had been blown out with an outage. How that can happen in this day in age, I could not know. Did anyone think of a backup generator!! Because of this, we never had a room key and had to be escorted to our room everytime we left the room, etc. The problme with this is that you had to hunt someone down to take you up to your room, you also could not get into the healthclub, etc. You felt imprisoned in the hotel. They did not have enough people working to cover this issue for both days that we were there. We could not wait to leave the place. The room was not in very good working order, the tiolet did not work well and the temperature control was off. To top if off, we I checked out, I was not even asked how my stay was. When I asked the person why he did not ask the question "How as your stay?" He just said I forgot to ask, but still did not ask. I told him anyway and he just shrugged his shoulders and had no response. I would have expected some kind o compensation for this horrid experience. No one seemed to care. May 21, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as nice as expected. While our stay was short we found that for almost $600 our room wasn't that great. The beds were very uncomfortable. The jacuzzi was broken and the early check - in but an hour after regular check in time. March 25, 2013
