Rated 2 out of 5 by Hartmut Absolutely unexcaptable
Even though we had a E-Mail-message 2 days before our arrival - at the reception we were "wellcomed" with the unfriendly answer, that there is no reservation and no room for us. Only after a very long discussion we could check in.
I never had such an experience in my whole life (and I´m 57 years old). The stuff was so unfriendly - this was also a new expierence at Starwood-Hotels for me and I hope that this will be the first and last one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by businessTravel75 Very expensive and not for business tourist
Stayed for a few nights on a business trip to Cairo. Reception was not very focused at my arrival and was talking to some other customers while looking after my reservation.
Room were nice and clean however the overall experience failed to add the WOW factor. The swimming pool was only open from 9am to 6pm, excluding usage to a professional traveller. WIFI network in the room was somehow very weak and had to go to business room in order to get a somehow stable connection. I had two dinners at the hotel, while the one around the swimming pool was ok, the one inside the hotel MarcoPolo I think was dreadful, nothing that was served matched the menu and moreover it was very expensive considering that we were in Cairo. Last challenge was at departure where my instructions were completely ignored by the guy doing check out..
Not a hotel I will be willing to stay at in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aa1972 This is a hotel I like but.....!
I stay at this hotel since many years and appreciate all the services offered. However, there are things that never improved , for example:
- Reception staff never recognize me as a regular guest ( bellman, HK and restaurant staff do recognize and greet! ... even the shop keepers do)
- upon check in I have always a new profile with no address or other details and have to ask them to use my updated one and it takes always time!
- in general there is a need to improve the attitude and skills of the reception staff!
- telephone operators gave me twice wrong information on opening times of the hair dresser and did not have information on railway connection to Alexandria when I asked. And did not offer to search and help me get the information I need!
- breakfast quality needs some improvement !
In general, I think I will come back to this hotel but hopefully things will improve!

Rated 3 out of 5 by May14 This hotel has seen better days, but has impoved the past 2 years
The service at breakfast has improved over the past 3 years I have used this hotel. I choose it for its proximity to the airport and the area (near Korba) of Cairo that I know well. The rooms are clean, but the airconditioning is excessively cold. The food in the restaurants is Ok but not good value for money - as in all hotels worldwide near airports. The staff are friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FC33 Excellent Service
I stay regularly at Le Meridien Heliopolis and can say the service and features of the hotel are very good. Airport transfers and flexibility with early check-ins and late check-outs are also features I enjoy very much as a business traveller, and the hotel staff has been very helpful in this sense.
My only remark is that the hotel should consider implementing wireless wi-fi in the rooms as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Firat87 A very nice and comfortable hotel
The hotel met my needs during my 5 day accomodation. Staffs are friendly, services are adequate, breakfast and menus of different restaurant in the hotel are quite generous. My only problem which could not solved is the temperature of my room and my inability to change it through warmer because heating feature is not working in February when it was 25 degree outside but not inside my room.

I have a lot to say with this hotel experience.
The staff gave me warm welcome and hospitality.
The food was great.
The room is big and clean.
Bathroom is comfort.
Very close to mid town.
very close to airport and shuttle is availble to pick me up and drop me from and to the airport.
Had an opportunity to watch wedding ceremony in egyptian culture inside the hotel during my stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MB125 This hotel is acceptable if you know what to expect.
Great location and close to the airport. Forget the 5 star rating as it is nowhere near!
A double bed means 2 single beds, a single coffee mug in the room for 2 people, faulty kettle didn't switch off and spilled water and became dangerously hot. Tea and coffee provided but no milk.
However, the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Staff are friendly and polite but poorly trained !

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tiberio Complete upgrade of guest rooms, halls and kitchen.
Convinient regarding location.
Service staff is promptly available and courteous, but in the restaurant they need to learn to leave some private space to guests.
I used Internet booking which did not request if I am an Egyptian national to take advantage of the special rates. I paid full rate. I asked front disk to bring the issue to the Hotel Manager, but they did not follow through and ignored me.
I asked in three occasions the front disk to send a repairman to repair the safe in the room - I was ignored for the six night stay.
Restaurants need to be refurbished and cleaned.
Disappointing food selection, lacking healthy food selection (too much greasy, salty, weird taste, poor selection of ingredients).
Traditional Egyptian food poorly prepared and presented. There are many middle eastern traditional food that can be prepared to meet health needs (ask international chefs who proudly show it to the rest of the world).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bazza68 Business in Cairo - A good place to stay
Cairo is a busy city 24/7 and for the most part experiences traffic congestion and the exhaust fumes which go with that. Nevertheless it is possible to get away from the hurly burly of a congested but great city. There is range of small to medium and large hotels. I stayed at the Le Meridien Heliopolis on Orouba Street, which is a fifteen minute ride from the airport and convenient for visiting places and exploring- the airport welcome and hotel shuttle bus makes transfers very easy. There is a good range of shops near by and the centre of Heliopolis is about ten minutes away on foot, where there are many restaurants well used by locals and the local shops provide a complete range of goods and services.
I came to stay at the Le Meridien by chance but have found it welcoming and the service good. It has a number of restaurants and the rooms are a good size and well furnished. The staff are helpful and attentive.
Its location makes it a good choice to explore Cairo from and the local taxis an inexpensive form of travel, if a little challenging at times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by monielettra2011 reception is fine
you must take care about cleaning, that is important especially common parts not only rooms.
Bathrooms should be really cleaned, change the towels and carpets does not mean cleaning

Always I enjoy my cairo stays in Le Meridien Helopolis .. even if my business was in the other side of great Cairo. The room is facilitated and comfortable, I feel myself between my family with the perfect staff, I enjoy the music at night, they are know how to make every little detail perfect.
Thanks to Le Meridien team, wish you all the best

Rated 5 out of 5 by Neri7 A very welcoming hotel
All of the staff were efficient, courteous, friendly and helpful. It was great to be met at the airport even though the flight was delayed by several hours.
My room was spacious, modern and comfortable. It was good to have a number of options of where to eat and the breakfast offered an excellent selection of European and Egyptian food.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chadi Needs Improvement
The staff are very welcoming. However, the hotel surely needs renovation. In addition, the discotheque is reserved for private parties only and the animation at the bar is not everyday. Preferably to move the band performing in the lobby to be in Bar 51 or even the Discotheque. NB: nothing is mentioned about the discotheque on the website.

Was on a business trip and stayed there over a week.
Out standing client and customer care shown by all the staff and employees. Great stay, will recommend to business colleagues.
You could feel that the effort of the management paid off, staff well trained and up to the responsibility.
Thank you Méridien Heliopolis.
See you soon.

Extremely good service with the meet and greet at the airport. Exceeded all my expectations. If you are coming to Cairo, this is a must. The hotel is also very nice and is only 10 minutes away. Breakfast was wonderful. I could have used a bit more of the middle eastern salads, but, otherwise, great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by salma Room made me feel am sleeping in the corridor
The doors of the rooms are very bad and anybody speaking in the corridors feels like he is in the room. with you. The hotel staff call eaqch other from one end of the corridor to the other and shout with no respect to people sleeping. Although the room was clean and nice, this negative thing was a deal breaker.

It was a very good experience staying here, beside there are NO ELECTRICAL PLUG's to charge your gadgets. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO THE MANAGEMENT TO DO NEEDFUL AT EARLIEST.
Breakfast was awesome and the restaurant staff was very friendly.
In short this hotel is value for money to stay near airport area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Franca Best hotel near city and airport
We visited this hotel already many times. We like it very much, especially because of the very friendly staff, the nice rooms and the SPG-club. It is not far away from the airport but not on the airport. We also love to see all the wedding and engagement parties.

Rated 2 out of 5 No a good hotel at all !!
The hotel was way below expectation.
Although the location is very close to the airport, yet the service is way to low and the staff is not friendly or helpful at all.
The food quality and variety is also a major issue at this hotel.
Not recommended at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OneWorld Good location close to the airport but service is lacking
The hotel is centrally located with easy access to the airport, downtown Cairo and not too far from the pyramids (during non rush hour). However, the decor is dated and the staff and services are greatly lacking. The food is also not up to par.
