The hotel is old but all the features of a real hotel are there. I prefer to stay in this hotel because on the whole it's better that the rest in town with continued improvement of the facilities.
The staff are good and helpful

It's always nice to come back to Port Gentil and see the familiar faces at Le' Meridien. The management team always does what they can to help and provide a level of comfort that has made my stays enjoyable. I will continue to stay at this hotel when visiting Port Gentil.

Always use Le Meridien when in Gabon. Nice and friendly service. Hotel in Port Gentil being refurbished to even better standard

Service at diner time in restaurant is unacceptable to long. wait about 1 hour for the main course. without my friends on the table i will have leave your restaurant.
Bathroom has a poor level maintenance.
It is a shame to have HD TV in the room and a so bad quality reception of image. to be fixed.

If this is your first trip to this part of Africa then you could get frustrated when dealing with some of the local staff. However, they seem to try hard and mostly start with a smile. You just need to ask one thing at a time and don't be in a rush. The management (Florian and Lubica) are very helpful so reach out for them if needed. The hotel needs renovation which I understand will start in few months. Rooms are not great but are clean and ok. Food is ok. Internet is available almost everywhere but not very fast and typically have to pay for it. Don't go with high expectations and you will enjoy your stay for business.
