I have stayed 1 week in Le Meridien Kochi and it was nothing but a great experience. Very nice clean hotel, western food as well as Kerala food, nice facilities and very helpful and kind staff. I have also enjoyed full body massage in hotel spa which was amazing. I definitelly recommend this hotel.

I AM VERY PLEASED TO SHARE MY BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE AT LE MERIDIEN KOCHI WHERE I STAYED ON THE 13TH JULY ALONG WITH MY FAMILY.
BEGINNING FROM THE CHECK-IN ALL THE WAY THROUGH OUR STAY AND FINALLY CHECK-OUT WE WERE MADE TO FEEL THAT WE ARE A SET OF VERY SPECIAL GUESTS AT YOUR HOTEL EVERYBODY WAS VERY COURTEOUS, WARM AND EQUALLY EFFICIENT.
THE FOOD WAS INDEED DELICIOUS WHETHER IT WAS THE ROOM SERVICE OR THE DINNER AND BREAK FAST THAT WE HAD FROM THE RESTAURANT.
SPECIAL MENTION NEED TO BE MADE ABOUT MR SANAL, THE DUTY MANAGER, WHO WAS VERY EAGER TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OF OUR NEEDS.

Happened to stay at the hotel on business trip but there was a wedding function in the lawn. The quality of service was the lowest I experienced at a SPG hotel.
Was in the club lounge before the happy hours. I asked for coffee, the staff said the machine was not working. Asked for Nescafé and hot water. Hot water served was light yellow colour! The staff did not even notice it. Later during the happy hour, the used plates were lying around...took a while to clear them.
Went down for dinner to the restaurant. Was sitting at the table for almost 20 minutes before someone came and poured water into glass without even asking, and then another 20 minutes for someone to come by and ask what I wanted. I ordered a chicken biryani and it took some time for them to serve. 1 hour 10 minutes in the restaurant with no sight of food I left.
Quality of service far far below SPG standards.

I enjoyed my stay at this fantastic hotel. It was a nice way to ease back into a busy schedule after a relaxing holiday in neighbouring kerala. The staff were good and helpful and the hotel grounds were well maintained. I got a traditional Indian welcome, and then an upgrade to a suite which was a welcomed surprise. I felt very special indeed.
I look forward to returning soon. Thank you so much for a restful stay.

You need to make the hotel more proactive to guest needs. For example ... may be pickup or drop to airport as part of the package instead of guiding me directly to travel desk and the person charged for both ways t airport, i.e. for dropping , they charged double the distance.

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2012 in a deluxe room.
The staff needs special mention, and was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay. The rooms are nice and spacious with lot of natural light and backwater view.
The dining experience is outstanding with a special mention of treasure trove restaurant. It has an excellent buffet. The staff is very polished and helpful.
However, the quality of tv sets is below par and cable quality is very bad. There are very few channels on tv. I definitely expected a much better show on this front.
The bathrooms are just about allright and they can do better than that in decor. However, bathroom fittings are nice and user friendly.
Overall, except for Television and cable quality, I would rate the hotel and its staff very highly.

Be prepared to be blown away by the level of service at the Meridien, Cochin. Rooms, however could do with a bit of refurbishment. The spa and their ayurvedic treatments are highly recommended. Overall a great experience

Le Meridien Kochi was a wonderful experience! The most important factor in a service industry is people, and these guys just nailed it. People's attitude couldn't be better! Right from the time I checked in, I was treated like a valued guest, with utmost courtesy, eagerness to help, and going out of the way to delight the customer. Front desk staff, pool attendant, fitness center trainer, housekeeping guys, restaurant manager; all created a positive impression.
Hotel's location is good. serene, quite, not too far from other attractions. They have two buildings and there is a boat transport from one building to another. That gives a bit of backwater experience which was good. Room was quite good, overlooking the pool. All the amenities were in place, bed was comfortable. I was informed at the time of check-in that renovation work is going on, and therefore there may be some disturbance. however I did not feel a thing! Renovation is done in such a professional manner that it does not cause any inconvenience to the guests. Pool is awesome and so relaxing, and so are manicured gardens. Health club is good too, and the trainer helped me de-stress from long flight with some stretching exercises. Steam and sauna was good.
Hotel provides complimentary transport to Fort Kochi, which was convenient and ideal for me as I had one day to roam around in the city. Front desk staff extended my check-out time without any fuss, and extended all the facilities (like pool, health club etc.) even after check out till late in the evening. Best part was the dining experience. I was having dinner at the restaurant, and the manager recommended me a good kerala option. Food was delicious, however I encountered a problem which I reported to him. He called chef, and both of them profusely apologized for the issue. Everybody makes mistake, but very few accept the same. They did, and not only that, they made the entire meal complimentary in spite of my insistence on paying for it. Manager also engaged in friendly conversation with me later on.
I think this reflects the five star experience and going beyond the usual to offer delightful experience. One thing which I forgot to mention, you can pay almost everything in terms of SPG points. I redeemed SPG points and this was the best value I could have received from my points.
Few minor things for improvement; they should have a TV guide in the room. Most of the channels were in local language, and it was difficult to navigate through. Jacuzzi at the pool side was sub-standard. Since hotel renovation is going on, they should try to have a better jacuzzi, with more jets and hot water option.
I am certainly going to stay at this hotel in my next trip to Kochi.

The hotel had a very good lobby but the Air conditioning was the worst. The staff were co operative and good. The concept of taking us on a boat to the other side and having the rooms in a separate building was a killer feature... To add to it the size of room was a great luxury. But it was made worst by non functioning of the Air conditioning. The bathroom was weird with no curtains the water was all over the bathroom. And it gave a very dirty and unpleasant experience during the time in Bathroom. The furniture was very old fashioned and appeared not upto the mark. The breakfast was below average with no thought going into people who may be veggie... The variety we got was equal or on par with a 2 star hotel.

This was my first stay at Le Meridien. The staff was helpful but what was a total disappointment was that no suite was given inspite of an advance paid booking for a Delux Tower Suite. The alternate club room was given and that was smaller than expected.
This is regularly done the staff informed me because the suite wing is opened only with minimum occupancy however no prior information is given to the guest nor a compensatory refund.
With 2 kids this was my primary requirement for a holiday. The hotel was also under renovation which was a dampner as many facilities were closed.
For a professional setup these things should have been mentioned at the time of booking.

The Hotel Staff were very friendly and proffessional especially Ms Awantika at the front desk and Mr Cyriac at the Restaurant.
The property is well maintained and spacious enough for a morning stroll which is sometimes missing in other 5 star properties.
1.A free WiFi access should be considered as there are many (even 3 star) properties providing those facilities.
2.Internet access was not available although it was mentioned on the Hotel Profile.
3.The Cable TV quality was very poor with minimal channels.i was even told the service was through a local Cable Channel provider.Le Meridien should look at provinding individual Set top box ,if not Satellite connection.
All in all, our stay was memorable !Thanks to their Service!

Impressive Spacious Property with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Chefs and the staff at the Latest Recipe restaurant we eager to "wow' the guests. Sitting in the Club Lounge it was wonderful to watch the Monsoon set in.

Good facilities, good service, poor TV signal in the room. Surprised there was no satellite TV - mostly malayalam channels on local cable TV. There was confusion during check out as the reception tried to charge me extra for breakfast. Luckily I had a print out of the reservation confirmation voucher and so they agreed not to charge. Still left a bad taste for the unnecessary harassment at the end of the stay.

it is the second time that i visit this hotel
the worst thing in this hotel is that the rooms are very nice but there is smell of mold.
the food was not in high standart as i used to see in other spg hotels.
this is the second time that this hotel is not update my spg membership starpoints.
