Rated 3 out of 5 by needs an uplift rooms need an uplift - towels are grey not white, hot water in shower was brown. Bedding sheets and comforter are gray also. Entire room needs to be renovated . cleanliness is not high. October 25, 2014

But, to our immense surprise, this hotel turned out to be a gem in disguise. From the almost personalized level of courteous and attentive service to the vast variety of dining choices and informed waiters, this hotel offers immense value for money and leaves you wanting to return at the very next opportunity. What's more, its proximity to the international and domestic airports makes it a hugely convenient choice. After all, getting to a boarding queue in 15 minutes is a miracle when faced with Indian traffic. Whether you're in Chennai for business or pleasure, if convenience and courtesy are what you're looking for, G Sethuraman and his team will ensure those at the Meridien. September 16, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Is it safe staying in the hotel ? I had a very bitter experience staying in the hotel , The phone calls are not attended after 11pm in the night till 7 am in the morning .. this was my first day of stay and given the feedback the phones where attended the subsequent days, however the emergency dial on the phone also did not get any response and if some one gets a cardiac attack his fate is seal provided he can call some one from outside for rescue. The third day was the most funniest as my room was allocated to another guest too and I am in my towel when a captain open the room with a new key and he was very apologetic as he realized that the same room was given to 2 people . I am not sure if this was a routine messup. October 2, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Renovation needed / Internet weak. Dear Sirs, first the good: excellent restaurants & food. The gym is nice. The hotel as such is fine as well, except for the missing possibility to have a walk in the surroundings (heavy traffic and no pavements). The staff ist very friendly, always a pleasure to meet those people. Now the donwsides: - The rooms need refurbishment, especially the bathrooms. In my personal view the rooms are too dark (not enough sunlight, and not enough lamps, especially in the area of the desk). The AC is much too cold, even when set to 26°C (=max)!! The room doors are falling far too loud into the lock. I guess everyone in the next 4-5 neighboring rooms will immediately wake up in the night, once a guest is leaving. Too many noises are transferred from the corridors into the rooms. - The corridors have a bit musty smell. - The coverage of the wireless internet is weak. I actually had to go to the lobby for browsing with my mobile device. The internet speed is very slow (no high speed internet, as mentioned!). - More international TV channels would be good! And maybe having radio channels, too. September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Staff, Helpful people Despite some administrative and financial surprises/inconsistencies, which were largely due to the agency through which we booked, Mr. Dilawar and the staff of Le Royal Meridien have put much effort into making our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, in which they truly succeeded. It is because of them that I came to enjoy my stay @ le Royal Meridien and it is because of them that I would gladly return to this hotel in the future. September 2, 2014
