Rated 5 out of 5 by Cozy Hotel Near to Business Areas and Shopping I stood in Le Meridien Jakarta for 3 months. It is a cozy old hotel (currently renovations are done ôn some floors but you willl not notice it) with a lot of charme near to the business and government districts and near to famous shopping centers like Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia. It has good restaurants (best Lebanese Restaurant in town) and bars, the staff is extremly friendly. The pool area is ok, the gym and sauna are very good. There is nothing else in walking distance and so you need a taxi to go somewhere, but that is always available and very cheap. Every Sunday between 6 AM and 11 AM the street in front of the hotel (Jl. Sudirman) is closed for cars and so it is very nice for a walk or jogging to Plaza Indonesia and Monas together with thousands of people. A real highlight. I will book this cozy central hotel again, when I am in Jakarta. May 13, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by house keeping I was to spend the entire day at the hotel and it was raining outside. I called reception and asked to have my room cleaned and that I would leave the room available immediately. I when to the lobby lounge and checked email, drank coffee and read my book for 2 1/2 hours. When I returned to my room at 2 pm it was still uncleaned. I called reception again and she informed me that they would be up to clean right away. The cleaning staff was on the floor the entire time I was gone. I do not understand why the room took almost 4 hours to clean. All other services were exceptional. January 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beaujolais Nouveau I was invited to a tasting of the Beaujolais nouveau in the ballroom. And having tried it every year for the last 20 years I really wasn't expecting anything great, however the food that complimented the wine was out of this world. Trying to mix the flavors with the wine is not easy but the executive chef defied my taste buds with among other delectibles cheeses and roasted lamb that melted in my mouth. Well done to the entire staff for the best teasing I have ever attended If you are thinking of having an event in Jakarta talk to the sales staff at Le Meridien first. November 23, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs major improvements 1. Curtain in room is not blinded, was woken up by day light at 6am local time due to curtains.2. Shower handle is basic, the ones that $60 hotel uses, no different pressures of choice. Worst of all, the mixer has got only 1 direction and in order to get hot water, it has to be to extreme which increases water pressure to point of tearing skin. I cant even wash my privates with this!!3. Towels are brown because over bleach, either used many times or too strong chemicals.4. Concierge staff not friendly at all.5. Ms Ratna (SPG Specialist) dont smile and not friendly. January 21, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Feedback I would say hospitality of the staff was great, this time i fell very sick and the duty manager helped me to arrange for taking me to hospital and provide someone who can help me with bhasa. But It is a old property and I did not find staff to be as friendly compared to other properties that I have stayed in jakarta. For example this time I stayed in a room which did not have AC working when i checked in, it could have been check before allocating the room. The room dining menu has very limited options. Clearing of trays etc. room service was not prompt. November 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Time to knock this one down Old, beaten up, unsatisfactory at almost every level. The room had electrical wires hanging out of the wall, an interconnecting door to a room next door had a knob that was broken off completely, allowing easy access if someone next door chose to walk in! Plus, not all of the electrical outlets or overhead lights worked. In addition, the lobby bar had a singer and pianist who appeared to be using the evening to practice songs vs play them for much of the time I observed them. When she did sing, the singer was so bad, it forced me to leave. She was completely off key. I was booked in for a week and checked out after one night. No recognition whatsoever given to SPG Gold. This hotel is nothing but bad for the Le Meridien and SPG brands. Avoid it. February 11, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel is dated Plumbing in my room was wonky, early morning water supply from the sink and toilet was murky brown, I was half afraid to bathe. fortunately, water in the shower was clear. shower head in the bathtub was broken. electrical points were loose - i had to half insert my devices in order to hold a constant connection for charging. There is no apparent taxi queue, if you don't approach the valet outside to let them know you need a taxi, you'd almost never get one in the busy periods, worse you could have one assigned to another guest right under your nose. Rated 2 out of 5 Improvements to be made 1. Powerpoint - the powerpoint was hidden behind the curtain. It took me a while to look for it. I had to kneel down to the floor to plug in my power socket. 2. The aircon switch is not user friendly at all - there is no way to switch off the aircon. 3. Had lunch in the Lebanese restaurant. Waited for almost 30 minutes before the food came. There were not many customers in the restaurant then. Kept telling the staff we were rushing for meeting and no further action taken. We were late for the meeting. 4. Had meeting in the lounge. Ordered 3 glasses of carrot juice. I was told that there's only enough carrot for one glass! 5. Overall comment - As a 5-star hotel, you should really look into your basic facilities, such as the powerpoint in the room, aircon switch (that's a very old switch). March 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grest customer service experience Dear madam / sir, Since many years I have stayed in different hotels in Jakarta, and beyond in Indonesia, and guess to have gained the ability to compare in quality and customer services. For the first time I have checked in, last Saturday, in Le Meridien in room 521, and I would like you to compliment you with the excellent services you provide and I have positively experienced. From check-in, room cleaning, breakfast, dinner and bistro bar, I have seen outstanding friendliness and genuine interest in customers. E.g.: this morning I cut my ear when shaving, and with a still bleeding ear I entered the breakfast area...and in no time I was offered alcohol patches and tissues, to support me. So even beyond employees duties, I was served. In summary: fantastic :-) February 5, 2014

I find the staff to be very welcoming, very responsive and I enjoy all my interactions with "everyone". In addition the upper level room was very clean, very quiet and spacious and offered the perfect environment for both work and sleep. April 26, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by All inclusive, great hotel for business stay This hotel is a great place for staying if you are visiting on business. I stayed for the first half of my stay (I have another week here as well) and the staff was extremely accommodating and almost all the staff spoke English which is very helpful. The breakfast brunch is fantastic as well. I suggest subscribing to the club lounge access as it includes two free hours for cocktails on the 20th floor as well as includes breakfast, three pieces free laundry, and access to the lounge and meeting rooms; it is an extra $50 a day. Rated 2 out of 5 by Breakfast mess I stay here regularly but this last time I had problems with breakfast. Both mornings I ordered off the menu. Both times the food was completely wrong. I ordered a standard item off the menu and wait staff couldnt understand what was wrong. I had to get them to read the menu and then look at what was brought out. This happened twice on two seperate days with different waiters. The kitchen then fixed it but in times it took 20 mins at least. Coffee was always empty despite repeated requests. not sure what has gone wrong. January 14, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good business hotel This was the second time I've stayed here so it must be good if I returned. Got off to a bad start when my Platinum status wasn't recognized when I checked in. However, I went back to the desk after I got to my room and was upgraded to a room on the Club floor. Second room was excellent. You need to get your computer system in order so that your guest status is known before they check in. Facilities in the hotel are very good. Food is excellent. Pool is good. I can recommend the Middle-Eastern restaurant. September 30, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Quick Overnight Stay I stayed in hotel for one night only in August 2012 whilst passing through Jakarta. Arrived late & left early so didn't have time to explore the hotel or its' facilities. One significant issue I had was waiting for warm water in the shower in the morning. I turned the HW tap on fully (Rm 705) and wasted a huge amount of water waiting for the temperature to increase. After a very long wait the water was just warm enough to shower without any cold water turned on. Not what I expected at a SPG affiliate hotel! August 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I needed Weary from work after a long day and an very early start- escaped to the Le-Meridian for a swim and spa and the best sleep I've had in three months. Buffet Breakfast in the morning that was to die for with a range that made it impossible for me to try everything followed by an all day conference at the hotel that was excellently catered for. Staff were friendly, went the extra mile with my special requests and made me look forward to the next time I could stay at the Le Meridian, Jakarta. November 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel can do better GREEN initiatives Each time I return to my room, the air-conditoning is turned on FULL BLAST to the point it chills (!!) and I believe this is done with good intentions - to keep the room cool to welcome us back after a long tired day out at work. It will be nice if the Housekeeping Staff keep the air-conditioning on to just an optimum level so as not to waste energy. I make a GREEN CHOICE each time I stay at LeMeridien Jakarta and will continue to do so since the reward in return - 500 points - serves me well. December 4, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by Need to Overhaul Management to Achieve Starwoods Status As usual, despite regularly staying there almost every month, we had to change rooms at least once since front desk staff treat everyone as new guest. No Platinum privileges are ever highlighted either. Cannot get teabags anymore for breakfast (which was the only thing that was consistent in taste), since genius management decided to go with tea leaves only! And I can go on and on...but Le Meridien needs to overhaul and restructure its management and bring them into the Starwoods league. June 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good The staff at the front desk at the check-in impressed me with his thoroughness, checking that I am a SPG member, and looking for my information. helping me boo k a taxi for the morning, and volunteering to give me a wakeup call without me asking for it. Very good service. Made it easy for me, especially since I arrived late and was tired. The staff at check-out in the morning didn't not impress me at all, messing up my taxi booking, and causing me unnecessary delay getting to my meeting. September 21, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Services Hotel staffs provide great services and also paying attention to simple matter. One example: I forgot my SPG number and card upon check in. The staff attended to me promotely and continue to allow me to check in to the room and asked me to provide the SPG number later, which I did. Upon checking out, the staff ask whether I still have the SPG card, I said not sure. He gave me a temporary card just in-case I need to check into another SPG hotel on this trip and it will be easier for me. December 14, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dated room but great service Rooms and corridors definitely needed an upgrade. Exposed translucent lights sting your eyes every time you visit the lavatory. Bad design! Shower head needed an upgrade, it was so small and ill suited for a power shower. Room furniture definitely pales in comparison to other Le Meridien hotels in the region. Other than the above, this hotel is perfect. Incredible staff, great location in the middle of Jakarta's business district. Buffet breakfast offers lots of delicious options. January 20, 2013
