Rated 2 out of 5 by Staffs' attitude need to be improve When I travel to Jakarta, I usually stay in this hotel. Usually, I have no problems at all with this hotel. However, during my last 2 visits here (especially my last visit), the services were so bad and the staffs' attitude were so arrogant. First, they didn't find my booking confirmation number and they thought and questioned me for about 5 times of whether I just made the booking just before I arrived at the hotel. Secondly, after I checked in, the bell boy just stood there and didn't offer his help to bring my luggage to my room. Lastly, the guy who checked me in were so arrogant in questioning me during the process of check in and did not recognize the SPG at all. Anyway, I think ...Le Meridien - jakarta should should upgrade their staffs' attitude towards their guests if they want to compete better towards other international chains hotels in the city. Rated 1 out of 5 by From bad to worst This is my 3rd stay in Le Meridian, and I must stay the hotel has gone from worst to bad. First of all, as a SPG Gold member there was no recognition given, despite after the booking details have been provided. I literally need to identify myself. Then, I had made 2 bookings under my name and while the first booking was identified, they took 30 minutes to identify my second booking despite both bookings were made at the same time and the booking number was provided clearly to the front desk, and as a result there was a long list of unhappy guests waiting behind us to be attended. As a SPG Gold member, I asked for a room upgrade and was informed the hotel is full and they can't accommodate my request, same excuse given for the past 2 stays prior. I knew this was coming, so to prove that there are plenty of rooms available I immediately login to the SPG website with my account and made a booking on the spot for a staff of mine joining last minute. After this, I was told that my room is not ready and I need to wait 30 minutes for them to prepare it. It was over 3 PM when I checked-in, and if the room is not ready why can't they give me a different room or just upgrade me? Unfortunately, I have booked the room for 4 nights and I have no choice but to stay here for few more wretched nights. This is definitely going to be my last stay here in this hotel. To say that I am utterly disappointed and upset will be an understatement. October 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by another good stay again, the staff is exemplary, in terms of assistance. and they are v. devoted to the hotel itself, which means, they care what happens to the guests. food is good too, and there are nice delights in the bake shop on the ground floor. October 9, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by much improved/ excellent staff Ive stayed here for years; used to be a bit tired, but much improved in terms of rooms (at least the 1 I stayed in) & public spaces. If u can afford it, the club floor offers good value for the money. Overall staff is above average, which can contribute vastly to a successful stay. Location in JKT is always a question, so be sure to check it's not far from where u need to be! October 2, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pleasant hotel, good food, internet The hotel is nice. The staff is great, very cheerful and helpful. The food is fantastic and service is good. The only issue is that the internet is very bad in the room . It works quite okay in the lobby but in my room I had full wifi signal but the speed was terrible and I could not download email. Rated 5 out of 5 by All inclusive, great hotel for business stay This hotel is a great place for staying if you are visiting on business. I stayed for the first half of my stay (I have another week here as well) and the staff was extremely accommodating and almost all the staff spoke English which is very helpful. The breakfast brunch is fantastic as well. I suggest subscribing to the club lounge access as it includes two free hours for cocktails on the 20th floor as well as includes breakfast, three pieces free laundry, and access to the lounge and meeting rooms; it is an extra $50 a day. Rated 3 out of 5 by Need for customer service and delight The hotel continues to have issues that remain unaddressed with front desk staff competence and general staff attitude towards its customers. The breakfast buffet has breadth but is poor in quality of food. I invite the general manager to eat there himself and check out the quality of food they put out there...e.g. Sausages, bacon, pita bread, yoghurt, dim sum and many many other items. Rated 1 out of 5 by Dirty bath water and noisy airconditioning system. I have been to this hotel several times for work, and i can see the hotel is gradually wearing down over the years. This would be my last trip to this hotel. Bath water is dirty(not the first time i encountered this at le meridien by the way), and air conidtioning cannot be controlled and was very noisy. I was very uncomfortable and thankfully i've got a room at shangri la and changed hotel the very same night. September 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good location and reasonable value Le Meridien is on the main road cutting through Jakarta north to South, placed between the well known Bundaran HI (trffic circle.shopping area) and the business district. This road, Jalan Sudirman, is served by the TransJakarta busway. The cost is still reasonable, in view of comfort (e.g., adequate WI-FI, swimming pool, spa, good breakfast) even if it has gone up in price recently. September 12, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Geat customer service During my transit through Singapore enroute to Jakarta my luggage didn't make the flight and got left behind by Singapore Airlines. Samuel, one of the concierge staff at the hotel worked with the airline to track my bags down and helped reunite us. All with a smile, great customer service. Now add to that a great location, comfortable bed and good food, what more could a traveller ask for. September 8, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by A truly exceptional hotel for both business and leisure travellers I particularly loved the excellent coffee available at the Illy Cafe in Le Meriden Hotel's lobby. This coffee and all the international cuisine on offer in the many restaurants on the ground floor were available via the in-room dining service. Very important for the busy corporate traveller. The gym facilities and flexible gym opening hours are also a valuble feature for the busy traveller. September 1, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by The room is great but not fresh... The room is perfect. It has great features with a very good quality. The room size is excellent and in a very good location in Jakarta. Unfortunately, the smell of this non-smoking room was not as fresh as expected and it made me feel uncomfortable since the cigarettes smell (from previous guests, I think) stayed long in the room. Rated 4 out of 5 by Kitsch but it grew on me When I first arrived at this hotel, my first impression was that it was dated and it seemed so dark with all the dark timber but it grew on me over the four days I had there! The design is really very Indonesian which is quite unusual for chain hotels that generally have a similar design. This hotel has many things that really are unique like the statues scattered around the hotel! When I first entered the room and saw the statues there, I thought that it'll be a dust trap so every time I entered the room, I ran my finger over it to see if it had been dusted and it definitely had been! The service was exemplary, especially from the staff in the executive lounge on the 20th floor. Comfortable, clean and great service! That's what I want from any hotel! Bathroom was good with plenty of hot water and not at all cramped! Will definitely stay here again! August 11, 2013

My only quibbles were (1) slow and unreliable wifi internet in the room (LAN available but I couldn't use it) aned (2) the gym lacked a leg press, an essential piece of equipment. August 1, 2013
