The hotel staff is very friendly and took well care that everyone was being served properly. The food and beverages in the lounge were exquisite. A personal favour of mine was the music in the hotel and lounge - very well fitting the atmosphere. I felt very much at home here.

I spent 4 nights at the Le Meridien, and they were very comfortable nights. The rooms are very spacious, with a nice sitting area, a very comfortable (and big) king size bed, and a very large bathroom with a jacuzzi and standing shower.
The service at the Le Meridien was also excellent. They were attentive, provided great customer service, and were smiling and pleasant always. Free wifi was welcome plus.
The location is ok - its near shops and restaurants - but these are nearby via driving. There is not much in terms of walking distance, but there are plenty of taxis (motorcycle and regulars) to take you wherever you go.
Overall, a nice place to stay in Le Meridien - as long as your are comfortable with taxis and outside the hustle

The hotel does not meet standards of other global 5-star hotels and needs a major overhaul.
The service staff has been around too long and look uninterested, tired and view their job as a routine bore. The F&B quality is pathetic. Big buffet spreads for breakfast but nothing is really that tasty or good. The hotel is most efficient when it comes to clearing the food when breakfast time is over - this is the only time when things move fast! They need to send their staff to other Le Meridiens in the region to figure out how it really works.
Their room rates need to come down ($88-120 max) and reflect the value to customers.

As an Indonesian living in US, I travelled quite a bit to Jakarta & has since chosen this hotel since 2007 as it is very close in proximity with my regular meeting place. Lately I discovered service is quite dissatisfactory. I observed Front Office Manager attitude is biased toward guests of foreign profile. Got ya!! I've never mentioned I live in US. Smile & courtesy is geared more toward foreign guests. One of the concierge found out I was from abroad & service was instantly improved "only" in their Department. Sadly the front office & restaurant did not show professionalism in this area!!! Hey, I bet ya local Indonesian give better tips than those foreigners. Suggestion... Get rid of those stupid misjudgemental & attitude if you still honor member like me (& other locals, hopefully).

The hotel is overall quite nice, rooms are clean and spacious, mostly renovated recently. Facilities are good too, nice gym and swimming pool. The buffet is alright although it could could be better but there is a good Japanese restaurant and an excellent Libanese restaurant as well. However the real deal is the service: really superb. Staff is polite, attentive and attends your needs swiftly and with a smile.
My hotel of choice in my frequent trips to Jakarta.

The hotel looks very tired! Lobby needs a refurbishment. Same for the room. The room feels unclean, especially the carpet and fabric couch/armchair. I sat in the armchair for less than 10 minutes and it gave me the itch. The hotel also has mosquito issue. I was badly bitten all over at the lobby lounge bar - and mind you I was indoor!

The staff at this hotel are exceptional and do everything to make things run smoothly for the business traveler.
The coffee shop offers what I believe is a unique service. After check in you can go and sit in a very comfortable surrounding have a coffee and the Ria the manager will sell you a local sim card and set it up on your mobile - great service and good to go !

The attitude of the staff in this hotel is surprising. Give them feedback that you have just eaten the worst Oxtail Soup in your life and they say "thank you Pak"
Tell the front desk that the cracked toilet seat cover could cause some serious injury to guests and they say "thank you Pak"
