Rated 3 out of 5 by jll888 This hotel has good location
The hotel is just a step away from the KL Sentral, the hub for KLIA express, KTM train services, Putra Light Rail Transit, bus terminal to KLIA, LCCT, Genting Highland and also you can easily get a Taxi here. It is recommended to stay here if you have an early flight to catch and wish to enjoy the KL life at the same time.

We was offered a free breakfast buffet as a SPG Elite Member Recognition. The buffet selection was great with all kind of variety, i.e. Indian, malay, chinese, continental, japanese, etc. which made us excited to try all the choices. But the taste of the food still have room to inprove though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SingaporeDave Terrible start but overall good.
This was our first time staying at a Le Meridien hotel. We were in KL for a long weekend catching up with friends from our time living there. We opted for a suite with connecting twin room for our two children, not the cheapest stay but it looked perfect for our family, and the club floor access was appealing.
Unfortunately, my Le Meridien experience started very badly, almost comically! Upon arrival at reception at 7.30pm with 2 tired children I was told that the rooms were not ready! At 7.30pm!!!!! I could understand that guests arriving at 12pm might have to wait, but at 7.30pm in the evening?!? We finally got our rooms at around 9.30pm, which I felt to be absolutely ridiculous. I was planning to ask management for a refund of 1 nights stay, but then my Le Meridien experience started to improve. The staff on the club floor were excellent, and in general the hotel staff exceeded expectations. Food throughout the hotel was pretty good. The hotel decor is very funky and refreshing for those used to bland identikit business hotels, whilst the music soundtrack was a nice touch. The pool area was excellent for kids and relaxing, although there is some building work outside the hotel. Despite the poor start I would still recommend this hotel although I would certainly phone in advance to check that rooms would be ready!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Feichai Great location for a business traveller. Home away from home
This review is way overdue ..... having now stayed here everytime I am in KL for the past 3+ years (more times than I care to remember). I am a sucker for Starwood Hotels, and used to stay in Sheraton and Westin in KL until I discovered Le Meridien KL.
The location is very convenient coming from and going to KL International Airport using the KLIA Express (28minutes from KLIA to Station Sentral, fare = 35Ringgit Malaysia each way). Located across the road from the station. Depending on which airline you are flying with, the ability to check in to your flight (including luggage) at Station Sentral and then take the KLIA Express to the airport is very convenient and reduces the stress of possibly getting caught in traffic on the way to the airport. Also very convenient if you are planning on using LRT or Monorail to get around KL. Otherwise, taxis are readily avaialble.
I am a Platinum level SPG member and have been upgraded to an exec suite most times - very convenient when my family travels with me. Booking tip: compare room rates for standard rooms with that for an exec suite (which includes breakfast and internet) - the difference in cost may be small and well worth the extra space you get.
The friendliness and level of service from the staff (front of house, concierge, exec lounge, housekeeping, restaurants) is faultless, and consistent.
The breakfast and dinner buffet at Latest Recipe is amazing. I frequently feel disappointed at how litte I am able to consume relative to the variety on offer.
The pool area (shared with the hotel next door) has a waterslide and is great for kids.
The hotel is not right in the midst of shopping, bars and restaurant areas (however 2 large shopping malls - Mid Valley and The Gardens - are only a short taxi ride away). Its location in Sentral, away from the city centre, means that it is easier to get too (KL traffic can be "problematic" depending on the time of day) which means those attending meetings with you at the hotel spend less time coming/going in the traffic = more likelihood they will turn up on time.

Rated 5 out of 5 Satisfaction ... all the way !!!
I have been a frequent guest at LeMeridien Kuala Lumpur through the past 6 years. What has kept me coming back here is its friendly staff, huge breakfast spread, good room service and above all its excellent location for business people like me. I have arrived KL at odd hours from different places - domestic and international and the hotel has been kind to accommodate me with some immediate place to rest if it was too early to check-in. The hotel lobby is spacious and you don't have to hesitate in asking your guests to wait while you go down to meet them. Club lounge at the top floor is nice & relaxing. Overall, it is good value for money

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ben10 Great Services at Club Lounge
Celebrated my New Year countdown at your hotel.
We loved the services provided at the Club Lounge. Those few staff at the club floor were always smiling and cheerful and they made us feel welcomed each and every time we stepped into the Club Lounge.
However, at the conservatory or those below the club lounge level was a world of difference.
On the New Year Day, we went to the Conservatory for some drinks and the staff on duty made us feel like we were all criminals. So we went back to the Club Lounge.
Staffs stationed at the lobby thought we were all invisible for 3 days.
Dined at Prime, the food quality was excellent.

The lounge in the KL MEridein ist one of the best I have experienced. VEry good food and great selection together with great view over KL.
Extremley friendly and caring staff.
Pool is also good. Loction a bit limited, the nerby KL Sentral is a big advantage for ging to the airport by KL Express.
Roms are perhasp not as spacious as in other Asian 5* hotels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by alf97 Stay was Pleasent
I have Stayed a lot @ Le Meridien KL and always find the stay great...
The Breakfast spread is always mouth watering and the spread for the Cocktail hour is good enough for Dinner...
It's also great when the people there great me with my name...
I always feel at home in Le Meridien KL.
However i was sadden that the service of Complementary Shoe Shine and Pressing is no longer available. it's something small but its disappointing.
Also i did not like the Ang Pow thing coz it was more of a sham.. coz when i went to get a cake it was only limited to the Black Forest cake and i taught that was not good...
Aside from the 2 small hickups the stay as usual was great...

Rated 1 out of 5 by usamabz Unethical Attitude of Hotel Management
It was my 3rd stay at Le Meridien KL (29-07-13 to 03-08-13) in few months and it was the 3rd time in succession I had problems checking in and setting down at the hotel and had to change my room at least once in all my stays. My previous 2 reviews were positive as I thought as my bad luck but three times in a row means, there is really something wrong with the hotel. In this visit I had booked a deluxe room and the staff checked me in to a classic room, a sheer dishonesty. When a I complained and asked to see the Duty Manager, I was told it was booking agent fault whereas the front office staff had already admitted his mistake. Such unethical behaviour from a more senior staff shows that it is the management policy to try and lie to the guests and fool the guests as far as possible. Finally after I resisted to stay in the classic room, the Duty Manager gave me a deluxe room, which was not much bigger than the classic one, like she is doing me a BIG FAVOR whereas she was only giving me what I had paid for. The hotel should have apologized for their mistake rather than trying to give an impression that they are giving me special favor. Th eroom was very small and the bathroom had plumbing issues and the towel holder was broken and for maid services I had to wait for hours EVERY DAY before my room was cleaned. These kind of things are not expected from a 5 star hotel. This is my personal experience and your can differ but I would strongly suggest that you be careful and beware to see that the hotel is giving you what you have paid for and not playing its usual games. In my first review when I identifies some issue I got a mail from the GM of the hotel to discuss with him about the issues. What is the point of discussing them AFTER I have already left. The hotel should work on it and do something when I am still there. All I can say is that the hotel management is encouraging unethical practices to deprive guests of their rightful entitlements

Rated 5 out of 5 by Knight ““Great location, Nice rooms, Excellent staff””
The Le Meridien is located right across from KL Sentral, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
My room was maintained in perfect condition and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Overall it was a very good experience during my stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to KL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VeryGoodPointsStacey Newly Renovated Amazing Hotel
If you haven't been to the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur since it was renovated, you really should check it out. The hotel is amazing. I love the design and layout. The pool is spectacular. There a so many restaurants to choose from. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the central train station.
As a Platinum I was upgraded to a magnificent suite.. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had a great tub and shower.
The service is very good at the hotel as well.
I loved this hotel and would absolutely stay here again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chan The hotel service is pathetic
The rooms are too small, even on the club floor, the housekeeping do not clean the room on-time, the SPG member does not get a preferred treatment. I checked in on the club floor, the room size is as of the standard room and though i am a preferred guest did not have any preferred services offered. I left my room at 8am requesting my room ten to be cleaned, but even at 3PM my rooms were not cleaned. Finally after complaining, called the housekeeping thrice they cleaned up the room...
I wonder if these are the services for a SPG guest what would be the service levels to a walk-in guest....
I won't recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good service, but if cost, convenience to take the KL-Ekspress to KLIA is your priority then you can choose this hotel...

Rated 4 out of 5 by HJK77 Nice central location and pool, but don't charge the taxi to the room
Stayed for a long weekend with my family (4 young children). The pool was excellent. The breakfast buffet was also very good. My only complaint is that concierge should clearly advise guests of taxi charges if charging to the hotel room. I took a taxi to the bird park which would normally not exceed 15 RM using the meter. However, I was surprised to see that the hotel charged me 60 RM + taxes. When the offer to charge to the hotel room was made, I was not told that I would be paying a 400% premium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fauzi Not Perfect BUT it's my preferred choice in KL
Stayed in this hotel several times over the last 2 years with the lastest one was last week. As a returning guest, the hotel always managed to upgrade me to a better room. Very efficient check-in and the staff always managed get me a room despite checking in early in the morning.
Good facilities, really enjoy using the fitness facilities with very comfortable temperature setting (unlike other hotels which tends to set the temprature too low - freezing!). Room is good but there is potential for further upgrade and enhancment. Love the newly renovated lobby which gives the hotel modern feeling.
My only complaint would be the inconsistent service during breakfast (one day very cold and the next very warm and friendly service). The hotel is not perfect but it's still my preferred choice in KL

Rated 5 out of 5 by Russell Superb Location, Comfortable Stay
Stayed two nights. Absolutely fabulous in terms of the seamless transfer from the airport. Easy to get taxis (coupon) from Sentral. Great connections to the LRT/monorail which gets you direct to places like KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Room was great. Got a high floor. View is now blocked by a humongous office building, but great stay, fantastic bed and all things good! Would come back in a flash (next month maybe).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jack567 Convenient location
Le Meridian is located across the street from KL Sentral, which is the hub of public transportation within Kuala Lumpur.
Its also a few minutes walk from Little India, which hosts a variety of authentic Indian and vegetarian restaurants.
The staff was polite and friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained.
I also enjoyed that the coffee in the room is French press as opposed to percolated coffee.

Rated 1 out of 5 by STM786 Internet Access Worst Ever Experienced
As a business traveller, stable internet access is paramount to communicate by email and I am unable to do so as the internet in my suite kept breaking down.
This is not the first time this has happened to me at this hotel, but it is the last as I will not stay at this hotel again. By far, the worst hotel in SPG for internet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tays Disappointment in handling of feedback
I have stayed here a few times and am always really pleased with the service of the hotel. However, my recent trip in May 12 was somewhat disappointing, when I arrived with a colleague.
For some reason, his room was messed up big time when he went to the Office, and lost a personal effect when he returned. Incidentally he took a picture of it before he left the hotel, which is why he was sure he had it in the room.
We made reports to the service manager on duty, who promised to get back to us before we checked out, but never did. To the Hotel's credit, my colleague got upgraded to Club floor immediately and his lost belonging made good.
We then made another report to another service manager when we checked out, who yet promised to let us know the result of the CCTV investigation but we are still waiting.
There could be a small misunderstanding or mistake by the service staff, but still it will be great if we can get a prompt response and understanding of what happened.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BabyBaby This hotel has the worse toilet
This is the third time the toilet bowl water over flow and flood the bathroom! Can u imagine taking a dump and all of it over flow and flood the bathroom? It's disgusting and I cannot believe it happened at a 5 star Starwood property. The best part is, it's not the first time I encountered this problem!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ChrisL Inconsistent experience...
This is probably one hotel with the most inconsistent experience - some stays are good, some not so. On my last stay, check in experience was sub-par and worst of all, when I get to the room, the typical fruit plate and maccaroon was not there... there were also missing toiletries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by drnimbin My home from home in KL
I have been staying at this hotel 3-4 times a year from the time it opened.
Great position for all your travel needs, excellent staff and one of the best breakfast to be had in KL. (The other is the car park hawker centre in Jalan Imbi)
I have only had one glitch this visit. We were placed on the 11th floor in spite of our SPG status. However this was soon fixed.
The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly, especially to regular guests they have come to know.
Make sure you have access to the Royal Club Lounge with your visit. The staff there are fantastic. The "Happy Hour" food and beverages could do you for the night if you weren't in KL with alll those yummy hawker stalls around the town.
Staff-wise I must commend Jini on the Club Floor. She has excellent people skills, a great command of English and is extremely efficient in following things up for you. Honourable mentions on the Club floor to Alberto and Meh Ling for there excellent, attentive service.
@ Latest Recipie we recieved special 'welcome home' smiles and attention from Diana, Abbie, Alexsia and Rani.
If you want to be fawned over, I would suggest there are other hotels in KL that would meet those needs. If you want a very comfortable hotel, with efficient, friendly staff who are all willing to look after you above and beyond the call of duty and excellent access to KL's transport hub...choose Le Meridien.
See you at the end of May.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AK2726 Conveniently located and nice room
Booked 3 rooms during the first day of Chinese New Year as a venue for family outing. The hotel location is conveniently located and the front office staff is friendly and helpful.
Room is clean and have all the basic amenities you can expect from a 5 star hotel. We opt to upgrade to breakfast + internet access at a cost of RM150++ for all our rooms.
Breakfast @ Latest Recipe is OK - both the food selection and quality. We also did spend some time at Gastro Sentral. The only drawback is they close at 12am on public holiday night, perhaps they can consider to extend the hours to 1am for public holiday.
Overall, it is a pleasant stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TandM43 Our favourite hotel in Malaysia!
Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is our favourite hotel in Malaysia. Having stayed there twice in six months, we cannot speak highly enough of the place.
During our first stay in June/July 2011, we booked a "Club Room". The room was on the small side but the benefits of the Club Lounge on Level 33 were excellent. The Club Lounge team were just fantastic - gave us tips on things to see and do, how to get places and assisted us with transfers and onward travel arrangements.
Upon our return in December 2011, we chose to treat ourselves to a "Royal Club Suite". These rooms are out of this world - spacious, clean and comfortable - we didn't want to leave! We would definitely recommend this class of room (even with the additional expense).
We stayed at the hotel on NYE and pre-arranged a wonderful dinner at Latest Recipe. The hotel put on a "countdown party" afterwards and it was fantastic fun.
Other tips: the buffet breakfast @ Latest Recipe was the most impressive I have ever seen. The range and quality of food was unbelievable and we chose to eat here rather than the Club Lounge for breakfast. We also visited the hotel's steak restaurant "Prime" on our first visit and the meals were fabulous.
The pool is fantastic as well and the hotel has a wonderful fitness room. To put it simply - the hotel has it all! The facilities and location next to KL Sentral is excellent, but it is really the lovely staff that make your stay extra special.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back!
