Rated 2 out of 5 by Victor Another bad experience with Meridien
During check-in, the front desk could not find my profile. After 10 minutes with the assistance of a senior staff, they realized I was a SPG platinum member and not a SPG Gold member. And I was then routed to the Club Lobby @ 33rd level for a check-in.
At the Club Lobby, I was told the room was ready but pending a supervisor to check before they let any guest to the room. Waited for around 30 minutes and I was told the room was still pending the supervisor to check and they offered another room (not at Club floor).
Went to the room and found out that the Internet and Air-Con was not working at all. So it set me wondering what was the "pending Supervisor to check before the guest is allowed to the room" - so did they even check this alternate room they gave to me?
All Meridien can do is call up to apologize and send me a apology note from the Hotel GM.
Now I am wondering why I even continue to support SPG.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jll888 This hotel has good location
The hotel is just a step away from the KL Sentral, the hub for KLIA express, KTM train services, Putra Light Rail Transit, bus terminal to KLIA, LCCT, Genting Highland and also you can easily get a Taxi here. It is recommended to stay here if you have an early flight to catch and wish to enjoy the KL life at the same time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jll888 Nice Breakfast Buffet
We was offered a free breakfast buffet as a SPG Elite Member Recognition. The buffet selection was great with all kind of variety, i.e. Indian, malay, chinese, continental, japanese, etc. which made us excited to try all the choices. But the taste of the food still have room to inprove though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Feichai Great location for a business traveller. Home away from home
This review is way overdue ..... having now stayed here everytime I am in KL for the past 3+ years (more times than I care to remember). I am a sucker for Starwood Hotels, and used to stay in Sheraton and Westin in KL until I discovered Le Meridien KL.
The location is very convenient coming from and going to KL International Airport using the KLIA Express (28minutes from KLIA to Station Sentral, fare = 35Ringgit Malaysia each way). Located across the road from the station. Depending on which airline you are flying with, the ability to check in to your flight (including luggage) at Station Sentral and then take the KLIA Express to the airport is very convenient and reduces the stress of possibly getting caught in traffic on the way to the airport. Also very convenient if you are planning on using LRT or Monorail to get around KL. Otherwise, taxis are readily avaialble.
I am a Platinum level SPG member and have been upgraded to an exec suite most times - very convenient when my family travels with me. Booking tip: compare room rates for standard rooms with that for an exec suite (which includes breakfast and internet) - the difference in cost may be small and well worth the extra space you get.
The friendliness and level of service from the staff (front of house, concierge, exec lounge, housekeeping, restaurants) is faultless, and consistent.
The breakfast and dinner buffet at Latest Recipe is amazing. I frequently feel disappointed at how litte I am able to consume relative to the variety on offer.
The pool area (shared with the hotel next door) has a waterslide and is great for kids.
The hotel is not right in the midst of shopping, bars and restaurant areas (however 2 large shopping malls - Mid Valley and The Gardens - are only a short taxi ride away). Its location in Sentral, away from the city centre, means that it is easier to get too (KL traffic can be "problematic" depending on the time of day) which means those attending meetings with you at the hotel spend less time coming/going in the traffic = more likelihood they will turn up on time.

Rated 5 out of 5 Satisfaction ... all the way !!!
I have been a frequent guest at LeMeridien Kuala Lumpur through the past 6 years. What has kept me coming back here is its friendly staff, huge breakfast spread, good room service and above all its excellent location for business people like me. I have arrived KL at odd hours from different places - domestic and international and the hotel has been kind to accommodate me with some immediate place to rest if it was too early to check-in. The hotel lobby is spacious and you don't have to hesitate in asking your guests to wait while you go down to meet them. Club lounge at the top floor is nice & relaxing. Overall, it is good value for money

Rated 1 out of 5 by usamabz Unethical Attitude of Hotel Management
It was my 3rd stay at Le Meridien KL (29-07-13 to 03-08-13) in few months and it was the 3rd time in succession I had problems checking in and setting down at the hotel and had to change my room at least once in all my stays. My previous 2 reviews were positive as I thought as my bad luck but three times in a row means, there is really something wrong with the hotel. In this visit I had booked a deluxe room and the staff checked me in to a classic room, a sheer dishonesty. When a I complained and asked to see the Duty Manager, I was told it was booking agent fault whereas the front office staff had already admitted his mistake. Such unethical behaviour from a more senior staff shows that it is the management policy to try and lie to the guests and fool the guests as far as possible. Finally after I resisted to stay in the classic room, the Duty Manager gave me a deluxe room, which was not much bigger than the classic one, like she is doing me a BIG FAVOR whereas she was only giving me what I had paid for. The hotel should have apologized for their mistake rather than trying to give an impression that they are giving me special favor. Th eroom was very small and the bathroom had plumbing issues and the towel holder was broken and for maid services I had to wait for hours EVERY DAY before my room was cleaned. These kind of things are not expected from a 5 star hotel. This is my personal experience and your can differ but I would strongly suggest that you be careful and beware to see that the hotel is giving you what you have paid for and not playing its usual games. In my first review when I identifies some issue I got a mail from the GM of the hotel to discuss with him about the issues. What is the point of discussing them AFTER I have already left. The hotel should work on it and do something when I am still there. All I can say is that the hotel management is encouraging unethical practices to deprive guests of their rightful entitlements

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ben10 Great Services at Club Lounge
Celebrated my New Year countdown at your hotel.
We loved the services provided at the Club Lounge. Those few staff at the club floor were always smiling and cheerful and they made us feel welcomed each and every time we stepped into the Club Lounge.
However, at the conservatory or those below the club lounge level was a world of difference.
On the New Year Day, we went to the Conservatory for some drinks and the staff on duty made us feel like we were all criminals. So we went back to the Club Lounge.
Staffs stationed at the lobby thought we were all invisible for 3 days.
Dined at Prime, the food quality was excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by enttaeuschter very good lounge
The lounge in the KL MEridein ist one of the best I have experienced. VEry good food and great selection together with great view over KL.
Extremley friendly and caring staff.
Pool is also good. Loction a bit limited, the nerby KL Sentral is a big advantage for ging to the airport by KL Express.
Roms are perhasp not as spacious as in other Asian 5* hotels.
