Breakfast paid not on record at breakfast room
Had to ring housekeeper for newspaper on both mornings.

Excellent long weekend at the hotel. Staff were fantastic, upgraded to suite, SPG Platinum benefits were top notch. Food and drinks on offer we some of the best I have ever had. The staff even took my luggage, including golf clubs, to the MAS check-in at KL Sentral. Thanks to Jini for organising, as an Experience Specialist, she does a great job. Will be coming back, love the location, trains to everywhere and a great pool to relax in after a fun day in the city.

I was really impressed with all the staff's responsiveness and professionalism. The special welcome gift from the GM was another great surprise and it really showed that the hotel really takes special care of their guests.

Its always a joy to stay here, what's more with bargain spg hot escape rates over the weekend. Request for early check in & late check out was noted. As platinum member travelled solo & making a 1 night stay, dont expect to get a suite upgrade since they politely mentioned it was reserved for families/sale during weekend. So their best available room is the premier room category. Im pretty ok with that since the tradeoff of complimentary mini bar for all day refreshments, buffet breakfast & dinner, plus the delicious macaroons & apples as welcome gift was very generous. i also noticed the rooms looks fresher than my last stay last year, perhaps they did made some polishing. Cleanliness is top notch. Sad they dont provide nachos anymore during breakfast, only for lunch. nevertheless the addition of sushi & bottled caramel coffee drinks are welcomed. i am impressed to see the new poolside bar & of course the new look of Latest Recipe.

The hotel's location is unbeatable when travelling from KLIA. I was unaffected at all by the heavy downpour from KL Sentral as it was sheltered walkway after stepping off from the Eskpress train. Lobby was absolutely art-deco and check-in was fuss-free. The secured key-access for elevators is a definite plus point. I had chosen to dine in the 'coffeehouse' and there were no plans at all to leave the hotel. Food presentation was above expectations and the choices were unlimited. Simply adored the dessert section and stuffed myself silly. Relaxation by the pool and fitness facilities are very good too.

My first time at Le Meridien KL, normally I have stayed at the Sheraton or Westin (4-5 times per year on average). I primarily chose Le Meridien since I needed to go KLIA early one day, and the express train from Sentral is the best option for this.
First impressions were that the public areas (lobby, restaurants, gym etc) are modern and fresh. The room corridors seem dated and old-fashioned, like the decor in the rooms themselves. However, the cleanliness and facilities in the room were absolutely fine. I slept better in this hotel than I did while at the Sheraton/Westin in KL - less outside noise (e.g. Sheraton is terrible for this), and bed was just as comfortable as the other hotels. Also, I was upgraded to a suite, which was appreciated and unexpected since I was staying for almost a whole week.
The highlight of the stay was the level of service and friendliness provided by the staff, from reception to restaurant to gym. Due to the club lounge being refurbished, evening happy hour was held in the Level 5 restaurant, Latest Recipe. This was actually a positive outcome, since although it meant a noisier environment, it gave access to the entire evening buffet, which had good choice and quality. Special mention has to be given to Halim, who was looking after the Platinum / club lounge guests in the restaurant. His attention to detail (e.g. remembering my drink choice and information from previous conversations) and level of service across the length of my stay was the best I have yet received at any SPG hotel, during my 5+ years of stays at SPG properties worldwide. The rest of the team were equally friendly and welcoming. I was also asked for feedback on my stay during my last evening while dining (rather than when checking out), which was a pleasant surprise.
I will definitely consider Le Meridien as my first choice when returning to KL later this year.

The room is rather small and were not upgraded to suite due to high occupancy but the room was cozy enough. The platinum lounge was nice but a little cramped.
The lobby was great! The staff were just perfect, thanks to Eyzlyn and Louis at the reception were kind enough to look for a better room with a great view of the city and were very kind and helpful. Mr Wan of the concierge were very helpful as well. The location's just perfect, just steps away from the airport train. Only 28 minutes from the airport to the train station and the hotel is just right next to the station. Will be back soon.
