Very convenient for train travellers as the hotel is opposite the main railway station. Room on the 4th floor (SPG-floor) facing the busy Königstorgraben but slept very well without ear plugs! Some minor points: curtains cannot completely cover the windows and there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Sumptuous buffet breakfast in the stylish restaurant and very friendly staff members. The hotel has a long history: I came to see the place where the English poet and writer Siegfried Sassoon stayed in 1922.

Overall we had an excellent stay (April 2013). SPG Gold membership well recognized, upgraded to a deluxe SPG dedicated room. Location unbeatable especially if arriving or leaving via train station as hotel is across the street from the station. Hotel sits in front of the tram stop that goes to the Documentation center . Hotel is also at the entrance of the old town. Excellent restaurants within 1 block including Indian, Turkish and local establishments. Staff were universally friendly, very helpful and English-speaking. Room was very clean with view of the Alstadt tower and train station.

Das Hotel hat meine Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt: beim Check-In sofort als SPG-Mitglied erkannt, ein höherwertiges Zimmer erhalten und das Auto mit dem Valet-Service in die Garage gebracht. Das Zimmer war mit dem Blick auf die Altstadt. Die Inneneinrichtung sehr hochwertig. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr reichhaltig. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam und unseren Wünschen immer einen Schritt voraus. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
