Rated 1 out of 5 by JWH82 Absolutely Dreadful. No Hot Water.
My stay at this property was not the best. The irons cannot possibly remove wrinkles because they do not have steam options. It was the equivalent of what an iron was in 1920. This is a 5 star hotel and its 2016! I also had an issue with the hot water, there was none! I got a knock on the door and an employee who I could not understand just handed me a piece of paper and walked away. It stated the hot water would be turned off immediately and off for about 4 hours for repair. I went down to the front desk after this and the real horror began. An apology yes, but did it feel sincere, no. I was told they usually charge for early check outs, but because of the hot water issue, they would wave the fee! She was dead serious! I had to check out of the hotel and move to another one that had hot water! Also the hotel didn't feel very safe. The elevators can be accessed by anyone from the streets and security was not present or visible. I do not recommend this property to anyone. Stay a bit further out and take a taxi to your meeting or office. Trust me you will be very happy you did.

Nice Le Meridien property, close to main trainstation, great breakfast and very friendly staff. No SPG recognition upon check in and had to point the receptionist on the fact there were still "better" rooms available - was upgraded to Junior Suite - nice size room but bit outdated some features look worn and tatty. overall great stay and will return.

We stayed here as we are SPG Platinum and we love the Le Meridien hotel. The hotel is in central location close to old part of Munich (it is near edgy part of town with strip clubs btw and train station but its off side streets and you can avoid it if you prefer we just happpened to wander down a side street as we were looking for a bar to have a drink as everything was closed early around 12:30-1 am).
The service was stellar with great check in and bar staff (and breakfast staff). We had nice upgrade to pleasant suite on high floor (our request always) and would highly recommend and stay here again without any reservations.

I arrive to the hotel and after 5 min a technician knocked on my door and asked whether there is a problem with the water. I said I just checked in and I don't know. He checked and informed me there is a problem without specifying what is the problem and left saying they will take care. As soon as I went to wash my hands I've discovered what is the problem : there was NO COLD WATER. The water was boiling hot temperature. I had to rush to a meeting. I came back after 4 hours, there was only HOT water . I called the reception and got an answer there is a problem, nothing to do. After one hour I called again - nothing to do. I called after another half an hour and demanded to talk to the manager. The manager asked me whether I would like to change the room. I was sure it's a general problem, since no-one offered me to change rooms before !!! The worst service, ever ! if you know there is a problem - you offer the solution BEFORE the customer complains. I didn't receive any compensation !!!!!!

I have been coming to this hotel for more years than I care to remember, but my God ,it has deteriorated. At 8 a.m. staff were banging on my door saying "clean, clean". When you pay nearly £200 per night, you expect a good night's sleep. The staff slam doors as if they hate everybody. I will never stay here again, plus the wifi has to be paid for and is hopeless. What happened to this place?

CLOSED Facilities. Just checked in at this hotel today to find out pool and spa are closed. This is one of the reasons I choose this hotel. Have I known this I would have stayed at any of the other hundreds of hotels in Munich to choose from with a spa and pool. I did my research in many websites and at any point while booking did anything come up to notify of the facilities being renovated. I am beyond upset and dissipated. Stuck here for 5 long days. I really wish I had an extra money to go somewhere else.
I called the hotel and amex and spa to see what we can do and they offered me a small credit - this is not about the money, is about how I wanted to spend my precious vacation time, that amount does not get me into a decent spa in any first world country. At least do something else, free parking or breakfast or a spa voucher at another spa hotel in the area. Really.

From the moment we arrived (which was extremely early for check-in but we were checked in with no problems) we very happy with everything the hotel had to offer. The reception staff were very helpful and courteous and the room was wonderful.

From the moment we step through the front doors, we feel like we are home! The front desk staff is some of the hardest working I've ever seen. It is a very popular hotel for conferences, flight crews, and festivals (Oktoberfest!) and we have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get checked in and into our room! They are friendly, appreciative of our loyalty, and always bend over backwards accommodating (we requested at the last minute to get four rooms all on the same floor...and they delivered without flinching!). The Breakfast is one of the best, and necessary pre-Oktoberfest, buffets! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!! And the pool/hot tub/steam/sauna really help recover from too much fun or a red-eye flight from the States!
