I arrive to the hotel and after 5 min a technician knocked on my door and asked whether there is a problem with the water. I said I just checked in and I don't know. He checked and informed me there is a problem without specifying what is the problem and left saying they will take care. As soon as I went to wash my hands I've discovered what is the problem : there was NO COLD WATER. The water was boiling hot temperature. I had to rush to a meeting. I came back after 4 hours, there was only HOT water . I called the reception and got an answer there is a problem, nothing to do. After one hour I called again - nothing to do. I called after another half an hour and demanded to talk to the manager. The manager asked me whether I would like to change the room. I was sure it's a general problem, since no-one offered me to change rooms before !!! The worst service, ever ! if you know there is a problem - you offer the solution BEFORE the customer complains. I didn't receive any compensation !!!!!!

I have been coming to this hotel for more years than I care to remember, but my God ,it has deteriorated. At 8 a.m. staff were banging on my door saying "clean, clean". When you pay nearly £200 per night, you expect a good night's sleep. The staff slam doors as if they hate everybody. I will never stay here again, plus the wifi has to be paid for and is hopeless. What happened to this place?

CLOSED Facilities. Just checked in at this hotel today to find out pool and spa are closed. This is one of the reasons I choose this hotel. Have I known this I would have stayed at any of the other hundreds of hotels in Munich to choose from with a spa and pool. I did my research in many websites and at any point while booking did anything come up to notify of the facilities being renovated. I am beyond upset and dissipated. Stuck here for 5 long days. I really wish I had an extra money to go somewhere else.
I called the hotel and amex and spa to see what we can do and they offered me a small credit - this is not about the money, is about how I wanted to spend my precious vacation time, that amount does not get me into a decent spa in any first world country. At least do something else, free parking or breakfast or a spa voucher at another spa hotel in the area. Really.

From the moment we arrived (which was extremely early for check-in but we were checked in with no problems) we very happy with everything the hotel had to offer. The reception staff were very helpful and courteous and the room was wonderful.

From the moment we step through the front doors, we feel like we are home! The front desk staff is some of the hardest working I've ever seen. It is a very popular hotel for conferences, flight crews, and festivals (Oktoberfest!) and we have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get checked in and into our room! They are friendly, appreciative of our loyalty, and always bend over backwards accommodating (we requested at the last minute to get four rooms all on the same floor...and they delivered without flinching!). The Breakfast is one of the best, and necessary pre-Oktoberfest, buffets! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!! And the pool/hot tub/steam/sauna really help recover from too much fun or a red-eye flight from the States!

We didn't have hot running water for two nights in a row! The hotel was clean and the bed very comfortable! Unfortunately when we ask to solve our problem with running water nobody showed up.
Anyway the staff has been very kind since the beginning and even before.

We had a great week-end in the Meridien. The Hotel is very nice, staff is very friendly and helpful. The Location is excellent. A few foot steps to the main-Station. A very small Walking distance to the Karlsplatz (Stachus), good Connection with public Transport.

Everything about my stay here was perfect.
I used your24, and was able to check in at 11 am. My suite upgrades led me to a wonderful room with a great living room. The windows opened (I realize this is standard for Europe - but still love the ability to get fresh air).
We spend a lot of time in the hotel bar. The service was impeccable, and the drinks and food were great.
The hotel even left me a birthday surprise. They really know how to treat their platinum guests well.
It is located relatively close to Karlsplatz and Marionplatz (with the glockenspiel). However, the walk there is a bit sketch at night, with a number of people begging on the street.
FYI: It is a 25 minute cab ride from the Messe and my taxi from the airport was 65 euros.
