Rated 5 out of 5 by Zsolt07 Highlight of our trip
From the first meeting to our last good-byes, we were so pleased with the hotel and all the staff. They tended to every need and beyond our expectations. The breakfast buffet and crepes were anticipated each day. The location was perfect for our daily excursions and to experience the activity of the evening. The subway was so close which added ease to our long daily adventures. The conceirge provided great recommendations from food to tours. Our children loved the pool, and was a nice break in our daily routine. We will be back! We are so grateful we chose Le Meridian.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RHR2 Management needs to learn about customer service
Arrived at the hotel at 5:30 PM and was told I would have to wait for my room until 8:00 PM. I told them that I had dinner reservations at 8:00 PM and I didn't want to sit in their lobby for two hours, they didn't care. I was told a sports team had not vacated the rooms yet. It took contacting SPG headquarters to receive any response from the management. Apparently they felt coffee and snacks were enough to make up for the inconvenience. Next night went to the bar for a drink and the waiter spilled red wine over me and a guest. At check out the laundry invoice appeared on my bill - it took three phone calls to have it taken off. Additionally, the steam room didn't work for the entire stay and nobody could tell guests when it would be fixed.
Hotel is in a great location, rooms on the SPG floor are very nice and breakfast is specular. But I cannot recommend this hotel and will not stay here again - just too many issues that they think they don't have to address.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Timbo74 The grandest Budapest hotel
I travel on average 90 days a year for work and stay at many good hotels around Europe - the Meridien Budapest is the cream of the crop. Decor and service is fantastic and the new bar is very cool.
I wish I lived at this hotel.

I am a Platinum member and we choose to spend our wedding anniversary at the Meridien in Budapest as part of a European holiday. The hotel is very beautiful and the front desk staff and concierge were very nice and helpful. We were given an upgraded room that was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The location is ideal for touring the city.
Two negatives: housekeeping was a bit sloppy (I had to dust my night table every night) and it was a continual battle to get an extra towel. One day it was a battle just to get towels. The room reverberated with the rumble of subways passing underneath. Perhaps this is not a problem on higher floors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ItaTraveller Amazing hotel in Budapest
The hotel is centrally located and also has a lot of activities and attractions on its doorsteps. It is a beautiful hotel which has a 5 star quality to offer. The jewel of the hotel is the staff and the comfort it offers...which matches what Budapest offers, warmth of people, culuture and magic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FSLD Mediocre hotel with a luxury price, not worth at all!
1). Bed is too small! The smallest one I ever had.
2). Food at restaurant is too expensive!
3). Shower room designis terrible, you get wet with cold water when you turn on the shower.

The hotel staff was very friendly and overall facilitative during the entire stay. The location is right in the middle of shops and restaurants and makes it very easy if you have some time to spare. Food was really good, room spacious and clean.
