While staff was very nice and tried to provide good service, i was extremely disappointed with my stay here.
As a SPG Platinum i have come to expect a Le Meridien to have a Club Lounge, but not at this hotel, and they did not offer a complimentary breakfast in lieu of lounge. They did not even have coffee making facilities in the room and where not able to provide more than a kettle and cups. I had to go buy the nescafe myself.
Location is about 15 miles out from city center, in the middle of nowhere, not even a shop or gas station within walking distance.
Airconditioning in room did not work, was 25 C in room, impossible to sleep, in addition to the fact that the curtains did not properly cover windows and the room was bright at 5 AM.
Gym is big, some nice equipment, but many stone age worn out equipment as well, like the treadmill, and they only had one treadmill. Temparature in gym was also unbearable,
Food was quite good, but portions too small
I had a massge, was ok at best, but got shorted about 20 minutes on the time!!

The hotel is beautiful but they were always slow responding to items of interest. I gave my Starwoods Preferred card to the agent when i first arrived, and rather than entering the number into the system, she sat it aside for later. When I was checking out a week later, my number had not been entered and I felt like I had been treated 2nd class. There was a dead bug on my curtains. No ironing boards or irons in the rooms. Too far from anything else. and Rooms specifically designed for SPG members were available, but I stayed in a regular room because my number wasn't entered, and I didn't know they were offered. The desk staff seemed disinterested. I am TOTALLY disappointed in my stay at this hotel....and am reconsidering whether I will stay at a Starwood Hotel again.

A regular visitor to this hotel I feel comfortable giving feedback on nearly 2 years attendance. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Some of the other decor can seemed aged in the Suites and Exec rooms in the main building. Some of the rooms 'feel' empty.
However the staff are always very friendly, attentive and helpful, the hotel has an excellent gym (probably the largest i have experienced in a hotel).
The restaurant food is good though as always in hotels more pricey than in the city though this is not a pointer of a poor hotel. An industry issue.
There is a regular bus service to the city early morning in and a return fluctuating between 1800 and 2130 back in the evenings. Enough to grab a dinner in the city and head back to relax.
The grounds are very pleasant in both winter and summer.

I cannot imagine why anyone would have thought to put a hotel 19kms out of the center of town - absolutely useless location - and that is enough to keep me away from this place. As a structure it had the look and feel of Communist concrete palaces the world over. ...and the corresponding impersonal, unfriendly service. The shuttle was infrequent and dropped off far from the historical centre (across the river and a good 25 minutes walk).
No real SPG recognition.

Stayed here for a visit to Oktboerfest and I could not have been more impressed. It was very busy for the events but the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They made navigating Oktoberfest very easy
