I have stayed i this hotel very often and can say the staff is excellent, especially in the breakfast area. But…….do not expect to have your SPG plat status recognized at this hotel even if there are free suites available.
I am very disappointed and not sure if I still want to come back to Stuttgart 's LeMeridien Hotel!

Chose the hotel because we were traveling on award points. Hotel just feels dated. From the heavy wood decor in the lobby and rooms to the worn carpet in the hallways. Very convenient to the central downtown and train station, but did not help that there is a massive construction project across the street to reposition the rail tracks. Would stay again because I am a loyal SPG member, but would likely try the Aloft as it is a newer property. Also did not receive an offer of an upgraded room due to my SPG status.

I used to stay in this hotel frequestently and highly recommended it to colleagues and friends but I I will stop doing so after my recent stay: The room category I was allegedly assigned looked nothing like the internet presentation, the room as well as the whole floor looked worn and outdated (as if nothing would be done to them anymore prior to the imminent renovation). I immediately addressed receptionist staff, they acknowledged my discomfort but did not do anything to raise my comfort level. also, an email message to the front desk did not help. Besides, Meridien used to have a complimentary lounge; this is gone but I was directed to the bar (where of course you are charged). At checkout, I was not asked whether I had been comfortable during my stay. So, all in all, no adequate value for money. I used to rate this hotel 5* but this was a most disappointing stay for lack of quality and lack of interest.

The hotel looks and feels dusty. Perhaps it is due to the construction of the new train station in front, but anyway, the lobby looks dusty, and the rooms lack also cleaning regarding dust. It would seem the room I occupied had not been dusted in a while...

The staff was great. We ended up forgetting a jacket there and they called us and made arrangements to have it shipped back to the U.S. for us.

The check in experience is that of being treated as a VIP and the staff of the Hotel are consistent in their care of guests. We had a large room on fifth floor with a large king size bed. The pillows and bed cover were very soft, the bed however was very hard, meaning a comfortable sleep was not possible. The bathroom was large with plenty of shelf space. The shower shared the bathtub and had very small bath towels. The room was large and well appointed with an office desk and a very efficient WiFi service. The location was within 10 minutes walk to the central shopping area and very handy to maintain railway station. We ate in the 'Bar Lillett' ..again efficient staff. Had a simple cheese burger and chicken burger. Presentation was great but food itself was not. Tasteless in fact. Consequently did not try restaurant for Dinner or breakfast. Check out was very quick easy and efficient. Staff are very good.
