Rated 2 out of 5 by Service on par but rooms are dated This was our first visit to Jordan and thought Amman would be a good place to start our holiday. I am a loyal Starwood member and love all your hotels. I will commend the staff at the hotel for making me feel welcome and attending to our needs, especially at the Royal Club Lounge. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed by Le Meridien Amman. It's a great hotel with beautiful public spaces and good service but the rooms leave little to desire. Rooms are dated, bathrooms and closets smell. Beds are okay when staying on the Royal Club Floors. I'm a Gold Member and agreed with other reviewer that there was not much recognition/acknowledgement when it comes to service and amenities as a Gold Member except for a letter from the hotel GM. Regardless we had a wonderful time during our visit to Jordan. January 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Eye catching Le Meridien Amman is filled with staff who could not be more solicitous of your needs. They are among the best I have ever encountered. In addition, the statuary above the reception desk is extremely well done. It sets a tone of excellence that resonates throughout the hotel from the dining room to the bedroom. In my book "I Married A Travel Junkie" (GemmaBooks, Boston, MA) I talk about all the reasons not to travel. Facilities like Le Meridien are not among them. March 14, 2014

When I started trying to book deferent hotel, that when I got the attention that they need to do something with the room. YOU CAN'T COVER BAD SMELLS WITH CHEMICAL, NEEDS CLEANING.... Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Clealiness The room cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. My room was dusty throughout my stay, the carpets are stained and need deep cleaning. likewise the bathroom is cleaned only superficially. my room lacked hot water. Overall i would not come back again, the value for money is appalling. all i enjoyed were the fitness center and swimming pool. November 19, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 City Hotel with reasonable distance to Airport I have stayed here before due to the proximity of the hotel is within the city vicinity as well as its 30 minutes from Queen Alia Airport. I got the hotel to pick me up and send me back to the airport on my return and it was indeed very convenient although it is slightly cheaper with taxi's but after a long flight you do not want to search and bargain hunt with the taxi drivers. Upon reaching the Hotel the staff was indeed pleasant and very helpful. I stayed on the club floor and in the morning there was a power failure but the staff was very helpful and made sure we we very comfortable. Especially thanks to - Sahar, Analyn & Mahmood. Will be back again for sure. May 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Stay in Amman Jordan My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our only disappointment was the Japanese and Chinese restruants were closed from the time we checked in on 27 July till 01 Aug. However we understand the reason was Eid. Our comment would be to say in the future they are closed during Eid. However again we really enjoyed our stay. Thank You August 3, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great facilities, service and rooms This is my second time staying at Le Meridian Amman and my stay lived up to the usual SPG standards. The person who checked me in was courteous and acknowledged my SPG member level. The room I had was clean and spacious. The only issue I had was the wifi. The signal would cut in and out every minute if I used it on the bed. If I stayed near the bathroom it would work close to perfect. I think next time I stay (in a few days), I will opt for the bonus points rather than the wifi. Other than that, I had an amazing stay. The gym is huge. The pools are nice. They even have an indoor lap pool. I would definitely come back. September 20, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great to stay in but not for kids Great in everything, food, clean, rooms, Wi Fi service, near shopping centers etc.. But nothing prepared for kids. Though you find in the net that there is kids club and baby sitter but in fact there is NOTHING. there is no place in the pools for the kids. :-( July 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great service The staff and the management of this hotel are making an extra step to make their guests stay comfortable and enjoyable. On the day of arrival I inform the management that my room has some problems with electrical outlets and air conditioning. No questions asked they offered me another room, actually upgraded me to junior suite, so my wife and I enjoyed our stay there. I suggest they deal somehow with their heating and air conditioning as one wing seems to have heating on, while another has only cooling system working. I think every room should have both options depending on the weather. January 15, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great service Excellent service shown by entire team. Some of the best I have seen outside Dubai. Far above other hotels I have stayed in Amman. Facilities are slightly better than other hotels in Amman, and are starting to get a bit dated. I'll definitely be back, July 15, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Another very nice stay Just came back from another stay at Le Méridien. As always the service was great and the rooms very comfortable. Disappointed a bit that the newspaper was not delivered in the morning as promised but it was not that important. Next time. Otherwise an enjoyable stay despite my heavy workload but it was always nice knowing that staff did their very best to make my stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel The hotel facilities were excellent in all aspects, the staff were very helpful particularly Ramsey the concierge, who tried to locate our lost luggage. The restaurant staff members Lida and Marie who were most helpful. The bedrooms were comfortable and relaxing. We would stay here again if we return to Amman. June 29, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by The Hotel has very low service My stay was in Premier Suites. The bed sheet and pillows covers were not changed for 3 days and until I complained to management. The used towels were collected and no replacement. No refill of Shampoo, Shower Gel, Cream, Conditioner. The garbage stayed in the washroom for 2 days and was removed after complaining. No replacement of complimentary stuff unless you ask for. I got one tooth brush for all 4 days. If you bring the bread for breakfast and you leave to get your food, you come back and the bread is already taken away. No towels on the food table, No forks & spoons. You can’t get a tea spoon with your coffee or tea unless you request for it. In general, the service level is very low even for 2-3 Star Hotel not 5 star with Premier Suites. April 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is extremely customer-focused! Our flight & baggage had been delayed and we arrived into the hotel early hours on Monday 23/06/14. Staff at check in desk very sympathetic and upgraded the whole group to suites! Meant to be just for the night as a goodwill measure but when they discovered that all our baggage had still not been delivered the next day, they let us stay in the suites for the whole duration of 3 nights. Concierge was extremely helpful in trying to help us locate our baggage by communicating with their contacts at Amman airport. They also gave us recommendations for where to eat locally and the places were really excellent! Breakfast selection at the hotel was excellent and the staff always greeted us and asked if they could do anything more to please us. The staff greeted us like long lost friends when we returned from Petra on the last night. They had kept our luggage for us having received the baggage on our behalf just the night before. The concierge had offered to send the luggage onto Petra for us but as the bags did not arrive until the end of the holiday, it was thought best to wait until we returned to Amman. July 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Service The staff were very professional and very helpful at all times.It started with Nael at reservation then Ramzi the concierge then Adel El Choueihat at check in topped up then with the best Amer Daqqaq who went the extra mile to meet my requirements which he did and during a full occupancy. Alaa Kokach made it very easy at the end extending my check out time. I would highly recommend this hotel. and would use it again for business and pleasure as all staff make the impossible possible. Rated 4 out of 5 by Not clean at all had major prob. Stayed from aug. 25 --sep. 02 had major issue with bathroom cleanliness !! Was taken care of after complaining & asking for house keeping manager to come to room & see by himself the issue I was REFFREING to.. I worked in USA in hotels in the past in house keeping for a long period of time & currently own 2 restaurants I know what to look for when it comes to keeping a place clean!! Second time stayed sep. 7 -- sep. 11 had same issue. ... Cleanliness is very very poor & for a 5 star hotel managed by Starwood !, really disappointed ... I am in business .. Just need a clean place to stay not asking for upgrade wich they offered but still had the same issue at the suite bathroom ... I do have the witness & evidence ... offered but guess what was not clean ... September 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lost & Found It was my 1st experince in Le Meridian Amman and it was a great experience. It was my wedding, and all the gold and money for the wedding were in one pack, where my mother-in-law left the pack in the elevator and within 1 minute the pack was gone. The manager got involved and searched for the pack using the camera system and shortly the pack brought to us without anything missing. The pack was found by a customer, who turned it into the housekeeper, whobbbbbit to the management. Thanks for the management and housekeeping team. September 1, 2012
