I am totally surprised that this hotel is managed by Le Meridian!
The standard rooms are poor, and smell bad (smoky ) , but the executive floors are excellent , I was disappointed last time with standard rooms , however this time I was extremely happy from the rooms.
We had a meeting arranged in the hotel, and was not happy form the food quality, the setup, the internet was not available and when we complained the responsible manager replied that it is our mistake that we did not highlighted that we need wifi !

I've stayed at the Le Meridien Jeddah on two separate occasions in the last several months and on each occasions I've had a complaint.
On the first visit, I went to the Cafe area to get an evening snack around 9:00pm. After waiting for 15 minutes for someone to assist, I approached the front desk and asked them to call for assistance. They simply said please wait someone will be along soon. A further wait of 10 minutes and then I left with no snack.
On the second visit , the ultimate sin for a hotel - no hot water!
Upon arrival around 10PM, I just wanted a shower and to get to bed - the water was just luke warm. I advised the front desk and expected that by the morning it would be fixed.
Sadly NO - it was still barely luke warm at 6:30am. For me, two strikes and you're out.

here my remarks:
-Receptionists are not friendly and not helpful. I was not posted/ Updated with my rights/ Privilege during my stay.
-Breakfast menu is the same, no variety.
-Last day of my stay, I did not get the newspaper, while others got.

It was really bad they destroyed 700 SAR shoe it was dark brown and they used black polish it was an SKETCHER shoe

Okay hotel with friendly staff, I was on the 6th floor and room had been renovated to a good standard. Colleague on 5th floor had a 'musty' room. Restaurant(s) could do with upgrade and more sympathetic lighting and ambience

This hotel is in a good location if you wish to stay in the vity and near offices, otherwise Jeddah has nicer hotels along the corniche. Despite it's age, the hotel still has good facilities although I was let down by 2 things.
1. old smell of rooms in spg club floor.
2. lock on my room malfunctioned due to old batteries which was repaired after 30 mins.
SPG recognition is great as I was booked in a club room and provided club services despite plan of 1 night booking only which I extended to 2 since I missed my flight.
