IN GENERAL IT IS A VERY GOOD HOTEL.
BUT MY LAST STAY I ASKED FOR NON-SMOOKING ROOM IN THE RESERVATION BUT THEY BOOKED A SMOOKING ROOM.
I SENT AN E-MAIL AGAIN TO CHANGE IT TO NON-SMOOKING BUT ALSO THEY SENT ME ANOTHER RESERVATION WITH SMOOKING ROOM ALSO!!!!!

The hotel lobby and room were good.
Desk staff not so friendly but professional.
Breakfast buffet was excellent, good quality offerings and good service.
Room was good and clean, except for stains on the chair.
Bathroom was clean but had a faint sewer smell due to floor drain design typical in KSA (it seems someone would start installing a trap in the pipe to keep sewer gases out.)
Wifi was expensive and slow.

The hotel is not fantastic, but considering its proximity from both "Tahlia st" and my client, then value for money is reasonable compared to other hotels that are miles away.
The rooms will be undergoing rennovation according to the hotels management and signs displayed in the lobby.
One very disappointing aspect is the unbearable smell of rotting humidity (mainly from the AC). I have experienced this on all floors and rooms in the hotels over my numerous stays. So if you have breathing problems avoid the hotel.
Also, front desk is considerablly slower than any other hotel I visited - especially during peak hours.

Not at all satisfied with the Laundry Service. Dirty laundry has to be picked up every morning but here everytime I had to call. Express service not in place for flexible time in delivery of laundry
Food: Had ordered Biryani a couple of times and was surprised to find each time chicken was stale. There were no side dish with biryani like pickel or papad instead butter is served everytime. Really, need to improve on food service.
Normally, the hotel itself keeps a kettle and couple of tea bags with sugar packets in each room but was surprised to find that these basic amenities were missing in your hotel.

Starwood should be embarrassed to have this hotel operate in their portfolio. There's no excuse for the old, dirty and smelly rooms and mediocre quality of food in the Club Lounge and the Breakfast room.
Someone, please take charge and remove the Le Meridian branding until the owner realizes that a certain level of standards must be met!

the room was super cold even with AC off. the furniture is super old, the matters was old and did not help me to sleep well, small TV screen with few channels and shower was old, the usage of the shower was not easy and the hot water took sometime to come and it was not even that hot. the breakfast was ok, however the resturante was small, old and unpleasnt

I wonder where is SPG mgmt. from this hotel, i honestly get shoked evrey time of the staff rudeness, unbelivable attitude...the most horable hotel that sometimes i'm forced to stay at...there is no presense for the valet parking people and last time the guy gave me the car key and asked me to go and get my car which took me 15 minutes looking form the car then i found it parked out side the hotel, bath rooms does not get cleaned properly, towels are extremly old, people in majority are rude people, unfriendly has no idea of what a 5 or even stars hotels service should look like and how it should be..

on check in the front desk staff are very friendly, and very effective and fast in checking in, and the beds in the room are very comfortable. some plumbing and renovation may be required, but overall excellent hotel.

It started with me not getting my booked and confirmed room. I was told my room was not available - without a hint of an apology, and was given a different room. The room I was sent to was wrong, so had to change it again. Again, not a hint of apology for the inconvenience at 1am.

Nice hotel on appearance, However the shower in my room needed at least 30 minutes each time in order for the hot water to come out.
My room was not made up on the first night.
I could not control the temperature in my room when I wanted to heat it up. It was freezing.

For a business trip this hotel met our needs. Although we didn't eat at the hotel everyday, when we did it was very good.
Rooms are large. Beds very comfortable.
Down side for a western female - no swimming facilities.

Im regular (Ericsson) customer in this hotel and this time it wasn’t a good stay for me.
1- room was twin bead without earlier note and they refused to change !
2-room set was short and poor , no bathroom shoos , tissue, shampoo...its... which was shocked for me.
3-WiFi was poor and very slow .
4.room was smell bad and many defaults in the furniture .
I think this last time I will book in
Room 208 from 17-Nov to 19-Nov.

The hotel has excellent facilities and friendly staff. The only let down with regards to the room is that the air conditioning has only two settings, cold and colder, even if you switch the air conditioning off, it still feels cold in the room. With regards to the service, the only disappointment was the time it took for the waiting staff to get me coffee in the morning, perhaps it would be better if they let you help yourself to coffee. With regards to reservation, it would be helpful if any reservation query is answered and options provided rather than automatically upgrading rooms, adding breakfast without confirming with the client. Apart from these minor points, the hotel boasts comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast buffet and great location.

This is the first time i have been in Meridien hotels. Starting with the room they put me in somking area that I didn't requested and they promised to change it next day but nothing done..Cleaning of the room was so bad..the breakfast in the lobby was nice...

This hotel is in a good location if you wish to stay in the vity and near offices, otherwise Jeddah has nicer hotels along the corniche. Despite it's age, the hotel still has good facilities although I was let down by 2 things.
1. old smell of rooms in spg club floor.
2. lock on my room malfunctioned due to old batteries which was repaired after 30 mins.
SPG recognition is great as I was booked in a club room and provided club services despite plan of 1 night booking only which I extended to 2 since I missed my flight.

You really need to remove the mold under the paint. It is really noticeable in the hallway near my room. Paint and some drywall compound is no way to treat a potential health issue.

the hotel is very nice and clean and with a perfect location for any business trip.the staff are very friendly and really exceeded my expectations andspecially the front desk are very helpful and i always recall a name ( Nassar) who is always responds to any needs to make stay easy.
i'm in house and i recommend this hotel.

The room is not that clean and the furnitures are kept are bare minimum. The bathroom had very basic amenties eg, could not even find a ear bud in the bathroom. Restuarant are quite basic. They have charged me more than the list price for water initially. one small bottle of evian water was priced as SR12, but they charged me SR22, when I questioned they look this out. Breakfast was ok, spread was very minimum and not clean i.e found some flies sitting on the food and pointed it out to the staff.

The service level at front desk is a let down. Good hotel, with dated furniture, but room very clean and satisfactory. Front desk is of no help at all. Try to change your 500riyal bill to smaller change for taxis, they will say no, even though they are holding all the smaller bills. Try ask for help, you are lucky to want to help. Frequent customer doesnt mean anything here. However, I must admit the waiters at breakfast and cleaners are very courteous and friendly.

Reception could not take payment on VISA via a signature and kept insisting that the FPOS machine was fixed to take a pin number only. Rather than admitting to lack of knowledge. On check ou similar problem with "blame the machine" type excuses. It took one hour to resolve and eventually they figured out that all they had to do was set it to manul operation. Inadequate training of staff !!!. The toil lack the usual amenities of showr cap, cotton buds etc, just the soaps. Below SPG standard.
