Rated 1 out of 5 by Heavy Smoke in Non-Smoking Rooms The hotel provided a "non-smoking" room located on a floor where every other room is a smoking room. The hotel has air ventilation in the corridor that pulls air into the rooms. All the smoke from the corridor ends up in the room. It was extremely smoking. April 6, 2014

I checked out 14th Mar 2014 I found in Riyadh that one piece of shirt among laundry service items had many stains. I could not wear it any more. I come back to Korea now I am afraid of that. Rated 1 out of 5 by The Room was Filthy While the staff were acceptable the following cannot be made up for: Bed covers dirty, towels with stains on them, stained couch, very poorly lit room (probably to hide the stains). Only go here if you absolutely have to. March 25, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good changes I stayed on the 7th floor which is renovated. the room decor is very modern and comfy. But few little details could make difference. the wall plugs. being a world traveler people have different wall plugs and though you need to call the room service and they will supply the adapter. it still not convenient. I am a GOLD SPG. I always make this request every time I stay at this facility. I would imagine a little note on their system. this way my room should be equipped before I ask. Also on my stay there was no hairdryer and I have to call to get it. -But staff at the front desk are very friendly. both at check in and check out. also Concierge guy was very helpful. -good wifi speed -good blooth music system overall I like the new changes to 7th floor. I can't wait for the whole facility to get remolded. the overall hotel decor l is reminiscent of the 90s or late 80s. March 19, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Old, smelly hotel A real shame a Meridien can be in such a poor state. Hotel is way to old and thus uncomfortable - and the smell (in the lobby and in the rooms) is just terrible. Le Meridien really needs to find a new property to operate in Jeddah, because renovating this one would simply not change much. It's so old I think there's no hope. Rated 3 out of 5 by The service goes from bad to worse Far from making me feel welcome in a hotel that I have stayed numerous times, this is probably the last time I will stay here. A simple request for a late check out was rejected, despite being a gold SPG member and this was not because the hotel was busy, in fact I was told that they had very few check ins on the day of my departure. In the past, I have always been given an option of a free check out late in the afternoon or a later checkout at an hourly rate. Makes no business sense nevermind good customer service! March 8, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Convenient location Good location, relatively near airport, and city center, and to the seaside. Nice hotel but nothing overly fancy. Fitness center is good, but too warm inside. Hotel has a few restaurants, but seemed closed most of the time, and Club Lounge was temporarily closed, although a temporary (small) lounge had been set up. Internet was too slow. February 24, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Reg. Business Development Manager This hotel is compared to 3 star hotel in any other country. Stuff were not professional, and not trained to meet the average Le Meridian level. They take their gust for granted, and have lake of understanding to the 5 star hotel gust expectation. On breakfast ; I wanted to sit on one table after being used by other gust ; the waiter kept the old dirty paper which was used by the previous gust and asked me to sit down ! I was looking for the waiter for 5 min to serve me coffee! And he was quite unhappy. After finishing my coffee , he was passing by my table with tea kittle , so I asked him if he can serve me tea on new cup, he ignored and filled my coffee cup with tea and lift. To be fare he was serving every one , and jumping from table to another alone. When I mention that , they told me that I am in Saudi, and this is the type thing you get in KSA, I disagree being in KSA does not mean that I don’t get value for my money ! This hotel should be moved Le Meridian list and renamed, as it is misleading February 18, 2014
