What an awesome hotel, from the moment you arrive to you leave this hotel is very customer friendly and your staff is unbelievable from the bell hops, to the check in staff at the royal club, the royal club Lounge, to the spa personnel, everyone smiles and says hello!! To the room service and lets not forget some of the best seafood in the world on seafood night, to the mojito's some of the best in Dubai. This hotel has always exceeded my standards, the whole staff is very friendly and will assist you in any matter.

I truely enjoyed my stay at this hotel which is the primary reason that I continually stay at this hotel whenever I have the need to trvael to or through Dubai. The rooms, food and relaxation are superb.

An otherwise excellent visit was marred by incident at time of arrival. We arrived late after a long flight from Australia and, despite saying several times that we did not want to make up our mind about breakfast options, we were harangued into agreeing to a special deal option. This turned out to be more expensive and completely unsuitable for us. We complained to the duty manager who promised to remove it from the bill, we were willing to pay the normal charge for breakfast taken. Despite promising this was being done, in fact we were charged for the extra ""special deal". Be aware of special deals! We never did work out what was special to merit the extra cost. Quite spoiled what would otherwise have been a lovely stay in a lovely hotel.

The service in this hotel is outstanding - at times, you almost would wish nobody asks you for some minutes about your wishes. The rooms contain everything you expect from a 4-5star house, but they will need some refurbishing soon.
Only really negative point : The house for whatever reason does not take part in SPG programme - disappointing and not understandable. I booked this hotel exactly because of the SPG programme..

And it is not evident when making reservations. It absolutely is a five star hotel, with wonderful service, but I would have stayed somewhere else had I known I don't get Starpoints, Credit for nights stayed, nor the bonus points that were available during the time period.
The real question is, why is this hotel listed on SPG.com, if it doesn't participate in SPG. This is by far my most disappointing Starwood stay ever.
There are some Starwood hotels that participate in Dubai, and many more that don't.
My complaint is that the "Non-Participation" aspect was not made known to me during the reservation process.

I stayed in this property as part of Emirates Airline's 'Dubai Connect' program. Emirates handled my visa, transportation, and accommodations. I was in my room within 45 minutes after exiting the plane. The hotel and room were clean, comfortable, and well appointed. There was complimentary breakfast as well. The hotel staff arranged wake-up calls and airport transportation so that I was back to the airport in plenty of time for my flight. This service and hotel made a very long series of flights bearable. I had doubts that it would be worth the effort but it certainly was. The whole operation is a resounding success.

GREAT SERVICE-SERVICE-SERVICE and the Meridian is the perfect example.

Once again i had an awesome stay from the moment i entered the hotel the staff greeted me by name the executive club had my room ready, and ask my preferences upper or lower floor. The Entire Spa staff was fantastic, so was the entire royal club team, the hotel drivers took me where i wanted to go, the bell boys if i need anything where alert and attentive the buffet breakfast is great also the Thai Restaurant, and surf and turf night, plus the entire staff at Jules bar some of the best drinks in Dubai. and they remember my favorite drinks.
Plus Ms Vitta taking the time to visit with me during the day it means you are just a customer but part of there family.
