As an SPG Platinum guest you have basic level expectations. Such as a smooth check-in, fabulous room, complimentary internet etc. However from check-in to check-out my experience was riddled with confusion, and issues. All the issues I faced could have been resolved if the individuals paid closer attention.
In Dubai there are so many other fabulous SPG properties that I have stayed at and they got it right every single time. I think the staff at the Le Meridian need some additional training specifically on the SPG program, guest check-in and check-out process.
I am somewhat glad that I stayed at the property because I always recommended this hotel to colleagues visiting the UAE. However after my experience its clear this property is certainly not at the standards of other SPG properties.

Took a mini break with 3 girlfriends after staying here with my husband many times before. We booked Club Rooms and it was really worth the extra cost. From the minute we arrived at the airport we were treated to a top class service with limousine transfer, faultless check in and brilliant service from all. We arrived on an early flight but the staff were undeterred, offered breakfast and changing facilities as well as an early check in to our rooms.
We stayed for 4 nights and ate at the Seafood Restaurant twice. It was superb.
A big thank you to all the staff in the Club Lounge. Our waistlines are suffering from delicious afternoon tea and evening drinks and canapés on the house .
Thanks also to the management team, cleaning team and pool attendants. We had a fabulous time and we will be back

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mustafa A nice surprise
I travel to Dubai a lot but this was the first time I stayed here. It always felt that this is your regular airport hotel without extra facilities. You know the kind: the kind you just go there to sleep in between flights. Well, not this one. Although it is right next to the hotel, it sure is not your regular airport hotel. I am upset I only spent a night there but for sure I'll add this to my Dubai hotels of choice.
They have an old building which still look decent and clean but I got upgraded and stayed in what they call the Royal Club section. That section is brand new and in an entire different building. The old section was not bad but the new one is WOW.
There are a couple of issues though. The first one is it looks like they are understaffed. They are supposed to have a help desk at each floor to guide you. They got the desk but not the help. Which is a problem because they did not show which was to go to reach your room and the hotel is huge. I was lucky that the way I took ended up being the right direction. Otherwise, I would have walked a lot only to be on the wrong side.
The other thing is the TV selection. Really poor on Western entertainment but big on news. Really, after a long day working and meeting I want to relax watching a nice movie or a nice comedy show. The options here are very very limited. I've seen better in 3 and 4 star hotels.

After a long delayed flight Magdoom, your staff attendant, helped me get set up in my room with the internet and brought my bags. He is a very good employee one for promotion. Thanks again Mahdoom.

This was my second stay. I came from a very early flight and was able to get an early check in. I was remember by the staff, Miss Caroline from my previous stay in December of last year. They let me sit in the executive lounge until my room was ready and offered refreshment until it was ready and I took advantage of the time for work. I was upgraded to an executive room that was comfy and led out to the pool. Internet was great in lounge. However for some reason in my room it was awful for wifi and the hard connection as well. I had a late check out and I was treated to afternoon tea at the lounge. Miss Janice and her manager remember me from my December stay. They both took time to say hello and ask how I was doing. It was a nice revisit and look forward to my next stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SteveBE Another Pleasant Stay
I have been coming to this Le Meridien for business trips for about 5 years now and they rarely disappoint. Well designed rooms, especially if you are lucky enough to get the renovated ones, with excellent bedding. I'm a bit disappointed that the happy hour is no longer in The Warehouse but in the Club Lounge, as I find the atmosphere in the warehouse more relaxed, but that's just a minor issue.
The various (chilled) pools are never too crowded, so you'll always find a nice spot.
The village is a great nightlife spot, where you can have a full night out without ever leaving the hotel.
Any issues I might have encountered during my stays were always dealt with in a fast and professional way. It may come as no surprise that I highly recommend this hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Elfinchild Great location, great customer service and great choice of cuisines
I have stayed here previously & recommend the hotel as it is a comfortable and easy place to be. So near the airport and easy access to main routes so easy to find and easy to travel from. All the staff I had contact with were very friendly and helpful, which goes a long way in my estimation. The numerous restaurants and eateries on site give a variety of cuisines, great if you are on business and don't have a lot of free time. Rooms are spacious and important for me there is ample room to work.
