Many of the restaurants are going through a renovation, so the inner garden area is a bit chaotic at the time. Hopefully the rooms will be next on the list of things to be fixed, some of them starting to show their age. Apart from that it's always nice to come back to Le Meridien with it's excellent staff and good location.

The staff, esp the house keeping are unresponsive, they need to be more attentive to the guests, who expects a good treatment.The bathrooms are really very congested.
The location of the hotel is great, near to all the busy malls and the beach.

I recently stayed at Le Meridien for two weeks. I cannot say enough about the service at this hotel. Every single person I came in contact with was very friendly, and those I met more than once knew my name. I had a very comfortable room that was well maintained.
I appreciated the various options for dinnner, and all were good. It is also a good location -- right on the beach with a pool, and within walking distances to other restaurants. I was there on business, but it was a quick and inexpensive cab ride to many of the locations a tourist might enjoy.

Had a wonderful winter break in Abu Dhabi enjoying the ressort-like garden and pools. The hotel staff is attentive and fulfilling very individual needs which made the stay even more pleasant. The food - especially in Papagallo - is great and can be enjoyed outside. Having so many dining options on site will stimulate your senses every day anew. There are enough chairs to enjoy the sun on the beach or the pool and the fitness and spa facilities are really good.

My wife and I stay at this hitel four or five times a year on holiday. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of local amenities including the Mall, Cinema and various dining establishments. The bedrooms are spacious and well furnished and all public areas including the pool, beach, gym and spa are excellent, but above all we cannot praise the staff highly enough. There are too many dedicated ambassadors to mention by name, all deserve much credit for their wish to ensure that each guest is treated as a VIP. The Meridien village offers various dining and drinking options with many being enjoyed by non-residents - an excellent recommendation in itself. Forget Dubai, come to Le Meridien in Abu Dhabi and enjoy the excellent hospitality of the capital city of The Emirates.

SAFETY IS A LARGE ISSUE FOR ME, AS i AM A SINGLE, FEMALE TRAVELER. ALSO, I WAS WITHIN A 5 MINUTE WALK TO ABU DHABI MALL, WHICH INCLUDED A THEATER, LOVELY BORDERS BOOK STORE, EATING FACILITIES. I LEFT MY READING GLASSES AT HOME, SO I WAS ABLE TO GET A TEMPORARY PAIR OR READING GLASSES AT ONE OF THE SHOPS IN THE MALL.

We arrived early morning and the staff were very considerate and made sure our rooms were available within the hour of arriving which was very much appreciated. The staff are very helpful and the hotel rooms are very comfortable.

This hotel is so old. I have to say this is the worst SPG hotel I have ever been in. How it can still be called a Le Meridien baffles me. The rooms, the carpets and interior are just too old. The hotel is more 2 star than 4 or 5 star. A major refurbishment is definitely required. Staff is ok but can do with a bit more training in being more professional at the reception desk.

VERY UNFRIENDLY/UNORGANISED STAFF, VERY SLOW TOOK A LONG TIME TO GET A COFFEE AND EVEN LONGER FOR EGGS, THE STAFF DID NOT SEEM TO HAVE A CLUE WHAT THEY WERE DOING THEY WERE VERY SLOW AND THERE WAS HARDLY ANYONE IN THE RESTAURANT BEING SERVED AND VERY VERYDISAPPOINTING

This was my third visit at the hotel and i shall definately return.I found my fell in a valley of smiles from the first person i met right from the belldesk,hasan and nair to the exceptional front desk staff of Ibrahim,Riccardo and another indian senior staff.Forgive me for not remembering his name.The wonderful barmen and staff at captains arms.These are the things that made me enjoy my stay at this hotel, but my warmest congratulations to the hotel for their choice of personnel. They know how to really make you feel at home, and if you need anything,you ask away and they go the extra mile . Congratulations from the heart, you were fantastic.

Lovely beach, lots of sunloungers and fresh towels always available. Excellent pool bar with great snacks and very friendly staff. The spa was great and the buffet meals (breakfast and dinner) were excellent. Great variety of pubs and restaurants within the hotel complex so no need to venture outside if you dont want to. The rooms were spacious and very clean although could do with a little freshing up with some paint and lighter furnishing. Overall our stay was great for a chilled out view days byt he pool and beach.

We visit this hotel at least 4 times every year, For us it is the perfect hotel for our holidays, clean/comfortable pleasant surroundings, excellent food and beverages.
One of the most important areas for us is the Le Meridien Team in all the years I/we have traveled, have never meet such a pleasant group of people and are always prepared to go that one step farther to ensure customer satisfaction. Well done Le Meridien Abu Dhabi , we will be back.

The Hotel features are excellent, with the private beach, pools, gym, spa, various restaurants.
The CLUB room was well-decorated and felt comfortable/like-home in overall.
The Staffs, generally were very attentive/responsive and very friendly.
The Location of the hotel is super convenient, just next to AbuDhabi mall, and easy access from different roads.

The biggest issues is your front desk staff. Check in and check out are very painful. It takes forever. The process is way to tedious. They ask for my passport every time. I have been several times and you know I am coming, can't you keep it on file? Checking out there were 4 people in front of me, each person seemed to have an issue that took over 5 minutes to resolve. I called the front desk a few times, once I was transferred 4 times and then left on hold for minutes before I just hung up can called again later. I also was very unpleased with the amount of extra charges on my bill. There were charges associated with a single mini bar service and I got charged for each of them twice! You should outline all these hidden unfair costs.

Abu Dhabi mall just around the corner. Hotel has private beach. The hotel is a little tired but kept very clean. Breakfast selection was excellent (coffee ordinary re buffet, good in cafe bar). Location was 30 mins from airport and hop on hop off bus tour outside shopping mall so very convenient re city sightseeing. At the time of our stay renovations taking place so perhaps a face lift is in progress. Excellent value for money. Staff friendly and helpful and service couldn't be faulted. Would & will be staying again. Comfortable bed.
Only negative...they don't seem to reply to emails!

As part of a stop over in Abu Dhabi we stayed at Le Meridian for a two day break.
Le Meridian was very comfortable and clean. In particular this hotel excels in its service culture, staff in particular were warm, friendly and helpful. This Hotel has many services including great food, pool and choice of many restaurants and shopping close by. We would stay here again.

First of all, Nice,wonderful, helpful and very friendly staff. Because of them, the hotel is the best choice for me. They make all the facilities worthy.
It is my second stay on this excellent hotel. The location, all the facilities and the atmosphere are outstanding. I had experienced one of the best seafood nights on my ever stays anywhere so far.

i stayed in this hotel for a long time for my business engagements in A.D. On many of my visits rooms assigned to me was stinking and there were even bugs on the floor. Also checkin and checkout takes ages and it does not matter if you are a SPG member or whatsoever, I recommend to stay away

Good Location in Downtown Abu Dhabi. Shopping Mall just a 5 min. walk away. But the hotel has seen better days, needs some renovations. Staff was unattentive at the beginning, but improved during the stay. Overall ok stay.

A number of things occurred that was unusual to be seen as an SPG Platinum member, who booked 2 room for 1 night last weekend. While understanding that upgrades depend on availability, staff insisted to check-out one of the rooms @ 12:00 noon. No food baskets were sent to the rooms and no response to the housekeeping staff to a request I made 3 times to get something missing in the room. Club lounge food was poor and not even comparable with the one in the adjacent Abu Dhabi Sheraton which I spent a magnificent night with my family. I see that hotel was upgraded from gat 3 to 4, so the expectations were the upgrade was granted on the bases of enhancements for all guest services at all levels.

We were extremely satisfied with our stay over and we were given a warm welcome at the reception and looked after well and we felt extremely pampered with the hospitality of the Manager Mr Nolasco Abreu(In room dinning Manager) . This is exactly what we were looking for after a very hectic week of work. Every single detail related to customers needs and comfort was taken care of and we were impressed in a big way. We are looking forward to yet another stay over to enjoy the experience once more.
We have already recommended this hotel to our friends so they can enjoy the same experience.
Keep it up .. Le Meridien Hotel Rocks .

Am totally overwhelmed by this Hotel,from the very first greeting,which is reflected in the entire Staff,which is one of kindness and exceptional Customer Care.Richardo at the front desk,despite our early arrival was fantastic and went above and beyond the call of Duty to ensure that the delay was minimal and we enjoyed a beutiful Breakfast whilst waited.The food is wonderful and the afternoon tea and evening Canapes are varied and tasty,no shortage of Wines/Spirits and I would especiall like to mention Gerard who is an amazing Ambasador for the Hotel.I find it hard to nominate any one person as everyone has made this a Holiday one to remember.

Our stay at Le Méridien was really pleasant. The staff was very helpful, special to thanks to Emily at the reception who met all our needs with kindness and with smile. I don't remember the name of the room cleaner, but he was Sri-Lankan and was very nice and effective. I appreciated that I could use the wifi in the lobby and that we could have our room ready already the morning we arrived. The heated pool was very pleasant. About the beach it would have been better if it was more clean we saw some dust on the shore.

Stayed for 3 nights in one of the club rooms,although a bit small it was cozy, Anna (front desk) was very attentive & helpful, Phil (talay restuarant ) was very professional , overall it was a comfortable stay , enjoyed the beach & spa in the property.

Overall I was content with the stay and some great facilities to hand. There were some moments where I thought things were not going to be great, for example a) the fire drill which we were advised in writing we 'would not have to do anything' but then had to evacuate and leave breakfast for 40 minutes, b) the wear-and-tear observable in places, and c) the main pool being closed. But looking past this, the breakfast was decent, the pool/beach area as a whole was sufficient and better than other hotels, and the bed very comfortable. It's not as glam and modern as other (more expensive) hotels, but offers a comfortable stay.

Le Meridien kept all the charming and warmth athmosphere that make it a different hotel from all the other ones.
The staff is very nice and always ready to help.
The food is always great and the bars and retsaurants add a real plus to your stay.
Finally the outdoor pool space make it Worth staying there for an enjoyable experience.
For this price, it would definitely recommand it!
