I’ve been to this hotel so many times as well as so many other hotels , and among the things that make this hotel an A’s for me is the Outstanding efficiency, kindness & cooperation from the front desk (Check in – check out staff) that I always used to feel.
They are fast accurate, extremely friendly & kind and very cooperative. They are ALL extremely sincerely nice and kind staff ..i can’t remember all the names but there is Fredrik , one Syrian young man he is an outstanding person ..and the ladies also there in the front desk ..They are very kind respectful and always helpful and they all professionals in their work and very sincere towards their work & responsibilities.

Its very convenient because everything is there already, there's restaurants and bars inside the hotel and if you want some shopping, abu dhabi mall is just a minute walk from the hotel.

It was a pleasure to stay at 'Le Meridien' again. The facilities offered were second to none and I was able to enjoy more of them on this occasion. In particular the Spa facilities, excellently run and staffed. The Royal Club Lounge again proved to be a real success, managed by Gerald to his usual exacting standards, nothing was too much for him to ensure Customer satisfaction. The Restaurant which I used for Breakfast was a pleasurable experience with jevaline ensuring you were seated to your advantage, always smiling and happy, the rest of the Staff were just as attentive and caring. The added bonus was the weather which we would not have in England. Abu Dhabi is also a safe city.

We arrived at the hotel early in the day and were very tired after our flight. The staff member, Bridget, was so friendly and helpful we felt very welcome and well looked after. She was also on hand the following morning when we departed and was just as bright and helpful. Very caring and an asset to the hotel.

Went to Abu Dhabi with my two kids during the last week of Ramadan - low season! This hotel was just great. It obviously is one of the oldest hotels in Abu Dhabi, located in the so-called "Tourist Area", but very well maintained. Food and fitness center are just great! The rooms are average, they have seen better days. Also, the private beach gives you a wonderful view on another set of office skyscrapers and an electricity power plant. Abu Dhabi just grew way too fast. The main pool, baby pool and zen pool, however, compensate for this. Great: The Abu Dhabi Mall is just next door, 300 m. It's a great pick for smart travellers who can do without the Emirates Palace bling bling stuff.

The biggest issues is your front desk staff. Check in and check out are very painful. It takes forever. The process is way to tedious. They ask for my passport every time. I have been several times and you know I am coming, can't you keep it on file? Checking out there were 4 people in front of me, each person seemed to have an issue that took over 5 minutes to resolve. I called the front desk a few times, once I was transferred 4 times and then left on hold for minutes before I just hung up can called again later. I also was very unpleased with the amount of extra charges on my bill. There were charges associated with a single mini bar service and I got charged for each of them twice! You should outline all these hidden unfair costs.

This was our third stay at Le Meridien Abu Dhabi. We particularly like the sevice level and the professionalism of staff. Location is excellent, as very close to the beach, city centre, and Abu Dhabi Mall.
Having grilled hammour, or Thai curry at the beach, overlooking the lagoon, was a memorable daily treat.
Finally, the excellent spa topped up our expectations of a relaxing holiday.

In it's day, Le Meridien was a great hotel, and I am sure it will be again in the future when all the work is done. The number of outlets is currently greatly reduced by the renovations going on, and access to the beach and pool is only through the coffee shop and we feel that customers should be made aware of this on the website.We were also unaware that the room we booked did not have a balcony as requested and had to upgrade to get this facility. Our booking also said the room had 'direct beach access' - only when we arrived did we discover that none of the rooms are near the beach so this is something of a misnomer! However, all in all our stay was made pleasant by the warm and welcoming, and very helpful, staff and we were able to overlook the inconveniences. The location is good being in close proximity to the Abu Dhabi Mall, other hotels and no great distance from other malls and the corniche, and, in spite of ongoing roadworks, not too difficult to access.

The booking was made on MY name. I asked several time to correct that, but nobodoy was willing to do so. That caused questions every time I signed a bill...
During checking in, we asked if we can park our car in front of hte hotel --> yes. But they forgot to tell us: "in front of the hotel" means only small dedicated area. So we got a ticket.. complaining we were told why we did not asked the concierge to park the car... (again nobody told us while checking in)
We stayed 4 nights in the Meridien in Dubai. That is what we expected when booking a Meridien.
In both hotels we booked the "Royal Club". But only in Dubai breakfats was served the Royal Club (Champagne included).
The hotel needs a refurbishment.

I would not hesitate to reccomend Le Meridien Abu Dhabi for it's service standards, good variety of food outlets and the recreation facilities. The staff are all helpful and friendly and we particularly enjoyed the use of the Club Room for evening drinks. The only hick-up was the variable wi-fi connection. One evening I was able to connect with no problem whilst my wife was not and the following evening it was the other way round. Having said that, there are two desktop computers in the Club lounge to use as an alternative. FYI, we booked directly with the hotel and got the best rate.

We stayed for 10 nights at Le Meridien. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room however it is a bit old and the designs needs updating. Staff at Front Office and Concierge were very helpful, especially Ibrahim (FO) and Hassan (Concierge), thank you very much for all your help!
F&B facilities are great, especially the Thai restaurant/shisha bar and Papaggallo the italian. Here Sunil did his job very well and provided us with a very pleasant evening.
To conclude, the hotel is very well located with excellent facilities, however in desperate need of refurbishment/updating.

As one of the earliest hotels to be built in Abu Dhabi Le Meridien lives up to its strap line of 'European Service and Arabic Tradition'. I spent 2 weeks on a working holiday, having stayed there previously, and it really feels like home-from-home. The staff are incredibly friendly and really work hard to exceed the guest experience - I only had two minor issues both of which were down to communications misunderstandings (not unusual in this part of the world!). There are some renovations taking place but this did not impact on my enjoyment, although short stay guests might experience some minor inconvenience. If you like new coffee tastes try the Fredo in the lobby cafe :-
This is 4 star only because of the property age not the facilities - I'm not alone in hoping that when they start renovating the rooms they maintain the beautiful traditional feel of the place. The 'village' experience is special with gardens and a great variety of bird life and the spa jacuzzi/water spouts is possibly the best in Abu Dhabi. I'm looking forward to my (brief) return in December! Overall I can't fault the hotel and would certainly recommend that anyone who stays there takes some time out to appreciate its aesthetic qualities...and Abu Dhabi Mall is a short walk away with cinema, large Co-Op store and an excellent food court for those on a budget. I have had the pleasure of staying at the hotel on business on numerous occasions, but this was the first time my family had stayed at this hotel, so I knew what to expect. My family were amazed at the friendliness and the eagerness to please by all of the staff, they are such a credit to the hotel. In my opinion you will not find a better pool/beach area in Abu Dhabi and the different bars and restaurants in the courtyard all add to plusses of this hotel. It might not be the newest or the plushest hotel in Abu Dhabi, but it had everything We needed to enjoy our stay.

Recently spent 10 days here. We have stayed here previously so we knew what to expect- exceptionally friendly staff, mature gardens and grounds, clean beach, good facilities overall.
There was some confusion at check-in regarding our reservation which had been changed at the last minute, but once that was resolved, it was all very much as we have come to expect from this hotel.
Yes, the hotel is old by Abu Dhabi standards, but it has character and charm which is lacking in more modern hotels in the area. This is why we return here and I am sure we will be back again.

This is the sixth time i have stayed at the LeMeridien Abu Dhabi. Once again the experiance was excellant and makes my stay which is generally at least Five weeks tolerable due to the way the staff genuinely have an interest in your wellbeing ..The hotel is not the most extravagent due it`s age but that is again part of the appeal ..
To socilaise there is nowhere like the garden area, as so many people from such diverse backgrounds frequent the place and so easy to strike up a conversation and make new acquaintances..
Again an excellant stay thanks to all the staff

Check-in seemed a bit drawn out as I thought the Philippino guy was somewhat slow in his actions and also seemed distracted sometimes. The conciege guy on the other hand was highly efficient, polite and helpful. The car-parking guy parked my car quickly and in a good spot! The room was excellent as I would expect however the shower in my bathroom was ok but the water pressure sometimes varied also the temperature of the water. This may have been on account of having a room on the top floor. The Club Lounge service was very good providing drinks regularly and efficiently. Check-out went very smoothly and I was attended to by a very helpful, professional and courteous Dutch lady. Overall an enjoyable stay! Will come again!

Good quality and great location, in the very centre of the town, next to Abu Dhabi shopping mall. We appreciate the hotel's private beach, the swimming pools and tennis courts. But what troubled us was, that children under 16 are not allowed to use spa and gym facilities. So that our 13 years old son was excluded from visiting the gym, even under surveillance of his parents. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. If you need fresh air in the room, then go for a room with sea view and a balcony. In the rooms on the 2nd floor, the windows are not openable.

My wife and I deeply appreciate this hotel for the smoke freer suite they put us in and for the wonderful way we were treated. This time of the year the cooler days and nights made the warm pool so nice for us to exercise in. We have found our new home away from home and will be back there in April. I do feel the food and laundry is over priced, but both are good.
For over ten years we have stayed in the same hotel in Abu Dhabi but that property left the Starwood Program. We are happy to fine a new home away from home after trying several others. Thank you.

Many of the restaurants are going through a renovation, so the inner garden area is a bit chaotic at the time. Hopefully the rooms will be next on the list of things to be fixed, some of them starting to show their age. Apart from that it's always nice to come back to Le Meridien with it's excellent staff and good location.

We had a great time in the hotel, food was superb and front Desk Gerald and retaurant staff are very accomodating.
Only at the Lounge when we went there other guest were serve immediately but the waiter did not approach us so we have to call him and ask him what we want.
And also the Concierge, no one even came to us to help us with our luggage, note that I am with my 5 year old son and 8 mos baby, even when we were leaving the hotel it was raining the concierge was just looking at us.
Other than that everything else was fine.
Only a suggestion at the reception while waiting to be checked in or check out, it would be nice to have a seat rather than waiting in the queue standing specially when you have all your luggages and stroller.
