It was a great experience staying at Le Meridian-Abu Dhabi. The hotel has an excellent ambiance and the staff are very cordial and helpful, especially the resection staff.

We spent two nights at this hotel. As some others pointed out, this hotel looks a bit outdated from outside, but the lobby area and room were very clean and neat.
I really liked everything about this hotel during our stay, but everyone there was simply top notch. They were always very attentive and recognized SPG membership well. Breakfast in the restaurant was also very good.

The hotel is located in the tourist club area close to Abu Dhabi Mall. Very old hotel but has all the facilities in the room. The bad odor in the corridor from the room needs to be investigated and eliminated. The quality of the mattress and pillows were spot free neat and clean. Hotel can keep sufficient number of multi pin plug for the guest to charge their mobiles and lap tops. The check in and check out formalities were smooth and it was handled by Ms. Nazreen efficiently and diligently.

Le MERIDIEN has a great number of very good facilities: the village (international atmosphere in several special restaurants), pool, SPA and Gym (nearly 50 professional machines). - Near by (3'!!) the Abu Dhabi Mall.
The staff ist very competent, extraordinary friendly and helpful.
A great 'Thank You' to the whole management!

As a platinum member, that is the first time I got really disappointed by the service.
At the check in, I was told that I was given a good room with a sea view, but I discovered that I was given a room at a lower floor at the bottom of the corridor (long walking). The room was old and had a view of the roof of the restaurants with a small angle of a sea view.
Internet was not working great in the room, I had to sit next to the entrance door to get some signal.
I informed the staff at the reception in the morning of the next day, I went to my meetings and when I came back in the evening I realized that none of the new shift knows about the problem, and the internet was still not fixed in my room - so three nights working from my phone internet.
At the check out, I requested to get my suitcases from the room. I waited almost 45mn.so I had to give the name of the hotel as an excuse in my meeting.
What an experience!!!

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands birthday and for the f1. Good location for the road to yas island and for the variety of restaurants and evening entertainment in the village.
We were disappointed that my husbands birthday wasn't acknowledged by the hotel (even though mentioned at checkin). The reception staff didn't seem too welcoming to us plus our bags weren't even offered to be taken to the room for us or assisted with (even though they all fell over themselves trying to help when leaving)
Rooms were very basic for Abu Dhabi and dated - we come to Abu Dhabi often and the rooms were definitely more 2 star rather than anything else... The pool and beach access and restaurants were good though...

- refreshment/food in lounge could be much better (during the day - e.g. simple soup, sandwiches etc.)
- access to fresh air in a room is necessary to me
- cleaning my room in the morning is a must (I am not a tourist at all)!
- super spa and turkish hammam!!!

From the moment you step out of your car the staff are there to greet you and make you feel welcome. I had a lovely upgraded room given and even though maintenance was going on in the hotel, it never affected my stay. The pool is great, the food is delicious, but what makes this hotel very special is the staff. Everyone has a smile and the time to ask how everything is with your stay. If things go wrong, the staff immediately make them right. A special mention should go to Bridget on reception who was very efficient and always greeted you with a genuine smile. A credit to the hotel. Thank you everyone for making my stay very special. I will definitely be back.
