Our stay was ok- we went as a party of 6 for a mini-break. Booked all inclusive package- not much included sadly! Would have been great to have more available. Saying that, what was on offer was OK. Service in the restaurant great at breakfast and lunch. Terrible at dinner. Drinks took half an hour to arrive, muddled orders and uncleared plates from other diners surrounding our table. Rooms smelt very musty and damp but bed was comfortable. check in and check out process was ridiculous long. Problems at check out retrieving the 500 aed deposit we were asked to put down on arrival. Staff questioned this for over half an hour but eventually returned in full. This delayed us as well as irritated us greatly. Generally conceirge and most staff friendly but doubt I would come back to this hotel again.

1) Location was excellent
2) Property is outdated in terms of room amenities and technology
3) Doesn't feel like a Le'Meridien property in comparison to other cities
4) Had a extremely late check in and there was only a single staff at the lobby. Felt the hotel is understaffed
5) Booked a prepaid rate which according to SPG rules has to be deducted immediately on booking. This was not done which was an inconvenience as it required me to make payment upon checking out in a mode which I was not comfortable with.
6) Food was average, didn't stand out though
7) Quality of sleep was good. Was well rested
Overall an average property. On a personal note, does not meet Le'Meridien Standards which are applied elsewhere. Staff needs to be more attentive and I think the property needs a major overhaul.

Abu Dhabi- le meridien is one of the best hotel I've visited with my family .. we loved the view and the private beach ... it's so beautifully located and beach is the best too good to relax and enjoy the drinks and the view.. I would love to stay again when I visit abu Dhabi again..and yes the breakfast was awesome every bit of the food was yummy..we specially thank you for providing us the sweet room.. that was such a surprise to us.. it was a beautiful sweet room with a wonderful view.. everything was so perfect ... we would love to thanks Mr Singh and nazreen nazar for being so kind and helpful ... me and my family loved le meridien

I have been at LeMeridien several times now, and will always come back to the friendly staff and good atmosphere. Last visit, I got one of the newly decorated rooms, and it really made me feel good.
Love the garden and pool/beach area to relax, when coming back from work.

This hotel did not meet my expectations. After staying here for 26 hours, I got the impression that this hotel is going to be torn down or sold soon (like the former Sheraton Deira). The paint job in the corridors is falling apart and hideous, and most of the building smells like smoke. I would suggest having one smoking floor and everything else non smoking instead of mixing.
The front desk and housekeeping staff overall did a very good job. They do a good job explaining perks of hotel, and they also upgraded room to a deluxe suite, told me about free breakfast, and awarded 500 bonus points. Whenever my guest called housekeeping from the room, they were very responsive to bring whatever was needed. Club lounge seemed nice. I had some coffee up there and during their 6-8pm happy hour an Amstel light. The steam room, Turkish Hammam, medicinal pool area is very relaxing. Handwritten note from manager with fruit basket and cake was very nice.
Now for the negative:
-Not much parking and it is all outdoor. My car got a small scratch on it while parked in their lot. Also I was blocked in by a delivery van in the evening.
-The breakfast buffet was very ample. However, nobody seated us, nobody asked us if anything was needed, nobody waited on us.
-Pool/Beach area, same same. While we were there for 2 hours nobody asked if we needed drinks or umbrella moved or anything. At one point I asked for a cup of ice and was told that would cost 5 dirhams.
-Again the building just looks run down. When walking outside from the Beach and Spa to the lobby you can see birds flying out of holes in the building. The building needs serious renovation, but I get the impression it won't be here for long. Does not live up to the expectations of staying at a LeMeridien or SPG property.
-Rooms had low ceilings, while in the shower I almost was touching the ceiling. Shower had bad water pressure. Doors to balcony were hard to open and need to be fixed.
-On checkout, nobody asked if I enjoyed my stay etc.

I have stayed in this hotel for more than four years whilst working in Abu Dhabi. During this period my family have visited on several occasions.
I continue to book this hotel every time I return to Abu Dhabi The Hotel has very comfortable and spacious room, breakfast top class and all staff exceptionally professional and helpful. The front desk has been incredibly nice and helpful every time.

The ac was not working not cooling! We ddnt sleep...so disappointed because we ddnt relaxed ..we came from dubai and chose this hotel among others and i am so sad for the wxperience we had...i definitely wasted money thinking i can have a good relaxation, i saved that money for a good getaway and this what we got...it really was a sad experience. Not looking forward to come back or recommend this hotel.
