Rated 4 out of 5 by AlphaCentauri As for everything in life, there are some good and bads...
I've stayed at the Meridien Bora Bora for 3.5 days and 3 nights in a bungalow on the sea. As it is the case for many things in life the hotel is not perfect but it would be hard and unfair not to notice that it is a very nice upscale hotel.
What was really great there: Staff do care about you and pay attention. They smile and make sure to meet your expectations. They were awesome. Food and beverages are delicious The bungalows are very spacious and nice. The beds are really comfortable and cause you to have a great sleep. You certainly can rest and relax there.
What is not so great: there is no socket to plug the iron in the room where the ironing board and iron itself were located at. You had to take them out of the room and find another plug. In general you only have 3 sockets in total set in opposite sides. So to charge everything, you get to plug your phone in one side, your laptop elsewhere and your camera in another part of the bungalow still. Not very handy at all. That was not very handy if you had to do that every day. Plus, the room is designed for people who are not 6.3 foot. So you can't see your face in the mirrors and cannot adjust the mirrors' position. You can't set the ironing board table on the floor because it is smaller than regular size boards. The bungalow is very nice. However with strong stream, it tends to "toss" a bit which for some people could cause a discomfort. In this particular case, if you are not a good swimmer you will never get to swim into the ocean using the direct access you have from your bungalow. The only thing I have to say about the food is that the lady who's been fixing my omelet literally took over 5 minutes to just do that. The check-out process is way too long compared to other hotels I've stayed at, even at some of those with less stars. The resort is fairly large or rather "spread out". So if you don't want to walk too much, do not stay there or ask for a buggy/ golf car well in advance as all things are a bit far from each other but in a sense that does preserve your intimacy and privacy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nadz111111 Great hotel, food average
Staff are amazing, very accomodating and for the money you pay, you are treated very well.
Room is amazing ( premium bungalow)
Location is great.
Breakfast: expected much better. Staff were very nice, but lacking skills in making eggs and crepe.
Food sitting around too much, need localised air conditioning temp control on meats and cheeses.
Lack of variety of food. Swordfish everyday is not needed.
Not enough hot food variety.
Lunch: burgers were very good, bit pricey need more rewards schemes.
Dinner: half cooked tuna was boring, and cockerel was minimal. I understand it was fine dining, but there needs to be another restaraunt that accommodates bigger eaters. Only one restaraunt was available during our time ( early feb) I understand it was due to lack of people, but I shouldn't suffer for it.
People are paying big dollars to be there. The resort needs to provide much better and cost effective options for food. It gets to the point where we have to starve ourselves because the price is too much. Maybe issue to scheme where you can get one lunch per person per day for the duration of your stay and you get 30% off your bill.
Overall beautiful and friendly resort. But the food is a real let down. More investment in food , entertainment, and cooking technique can improve this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jad33 Save Money and Go Elsewhere
The location is phenomenal, but for a long term stay find another hotel or save the money and pick a different island location. The food is limited and not what you'd expect and not as many activities to fill up an entire week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jbrown5805 We had a great honeymoon
We stayed at the Le Meridian for our honeymoon and loved it. We had an end of the pier over the water bungalow and it was very nice. The location of the hotel is great as it looks directly on the mountain on the main island. The food could definitely be better but it was still pretty good. Staff was very attentive and all very nice.
