Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location! My husband and I chose this property based on its convenient location - walking distance to all the things we planned to do that weekend. Iron in the room didn't work, had to request another one after it spouted water all over my pants. Cordless phone didn't work either. No SPG recognition whatsoever. October 11, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected from a Le Meridien The location was great for visiting museums and for access to the park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had used suite upgrades to upgrade my room to a suite - this was a disappointment. It was nothing but a slightly larger room (by comparison, when I have stayed at Le Meridien Chiang Mai I have always been given complimentary upgrades to a large multi-room suite). The fitness center was ridiculous - a couple of pieces of cardio equipment and some random light dumbbells. I would get more at a budget hotel. I didn't try the food and beverage. Perhaps travel in Asia has spoiled me, but when I stay at a Le Meridien (or any Starwood property) in Asia my Platinum status always gets me a free buffet breakfast. This seems not to be the case in North America. Why should I expect a reduced level of hospitality when traveling in the US and Canada? October 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Penthouse It was my birthday and we were given a lovely penthouse room on the 31st floor, and a wonderful bottle of champagne and chocolate covered almonds. The manager was so accommodating and pleasant as well the staff. It is a perfect location in the center of town. September 27, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good hotel for the price Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are a bit dated, but from what I understand, they are working on renovations. Not as centrally located yet not too far from all the major activities like old port etc. Bed was reasonably comfortable. We stayed in a junior suite yet it only had two towels. The staff did not replenish items as they should have, however, on request they were quickly supplied. Excellent value for money!! September 6, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by great experience at the hotel Great location on the west side of downtown, smaller property that gives a nice sense of intimacy. As a platinum SPG member, was upgraded to a larger room that was incredibly comfortable. With the proximity to Mt. Royal Park, it was easy to head up the hill for a beautiful run and be able to take in the views of the city. Will definitley be back. August 31, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by An enjoyable stay. A friendly and knowledgable staff ... they really are nice at the desk. A conveniently ordered room and all-round good facilities made our stay special. We will do it again. A very good restaurant but don't expect any snack-type eats. The building is well placed for access to what we wanted. August 27, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy Access, Staff were friendly From beginning to end the staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. We used the valet parking which was great- a little pricey, but this is a big city, and the convenience was perfect. I like a firmer bed, but if you like the poofy, softer top beds, it was good. I liked the style of decor, but it was tired. I'm told they are in for a total renovation, and it is due. The only negative was the grout in the shower and the showerhead were gross August 22, 2012

Front desk was excellent and met our every need with we were a needy bunch. with the upcoming renovations next year I am sure this hotel will be a good choice for anyone staying in Montreal. It refreshing to be recognized and greeted by staff. You can usually get that at some larger hotels. August 14, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Thieves We had planned to stay at this property for 4 days and left after 1 night. Boutique hotel it is not. Very average rooms, bathroom not so clean, food terrible. We were given an upgrade (sounds good!) Upon check in and were told that continental breakfast was included. Next morning had "breakfast" (toast w peanut butter-rest of food was canned or not well prepared) and was subsequently charged $50!! Explained situation to front desk and manager who basically called us liars. Most likely trying to recoup cost of our upgrade. Never ever had this happen before-totallly stole money from us. Would NEVER trust such an establishment who mistreats guests this way. Went to W Montreal-amazing, true "boutique" hotel. Even they were horrified when they heard our story and gave us a real "free" upgrade. LMS are thieves. August 11, 2012

In a quiet location just west of and walking distance from downtown everything feels just around the corner. Don't want to venture out?....try the restaurant: best kept secret in Montreal! Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick visit We were only in Montreal for one night, arrived at Le Meridien at 2100 and out at 0730 the next morning, so not a lot of time to relax. However, our room was very nice, a little small, but it had all the usual amenities including a mini bar. The bed was very comfortable (I didn't miss my own mattress for once!) and the room was exceptionally clean. i will definitely consider Le Meridien for my next stay in Montreal. July 30, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Freindly and well located The hotel was well located except its a bit too far form the Airport Bus stop to walk over with bags. Staff were friendly and recognised my Gold Status and were ready to help with anything. One glitch - even though we booked as a couple, there was only one bathrobe, one bottle of complimentary water, one bar of soap etc- in short the set up was for single occupancy. and it took a day or so to sort this out. Otherwise, a very nice 3.5 to 4 star property with friendly and helpful staff. July 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely but Housekeeping below expectations We have stayed at Le Meridien many times over the years and have always appreciated the outstanding front desk staff and restaurant service, the rooms, and general ambiance. This stay however the housekeeping was actually substandard. Surfaces were not cleaned, especially in the bathroom, amenities were not restocking, not enough towels in the bathroom, and one morning cleaning staff turned up at 8:15 am to clean. This was disappointing. That aside, the stay was otherwise great. July 21, 2012
