Rated 2 out of 5 by Antonio a disappointing stay
We had a one-night stay during the World Junior Hockey tournament in Montreal. On the plus side:
- hotel is located within a 15 minute walk of Bell Centre;
- front desk staff are nice, speak English;
- the hotel has complimentary coffee in the lobby before 07:00 am.
On the not so positive side:
- the business centre is a joke (printer not working, out of ink);
- the fitness area is tiny, dated;
- our room (on the 8th) was noisy due to the elevator, and was lacking SPG amenities;
- SPG Plat recognition is poor.
I took the time to relay my concerns to the senior management team twice and did not get a response. For this reason alone I cannot recommend this property.

The room was nicely designed but the location was not ideal. The hotel itself was very small with just one small restaurant that closed early so we could not have breakfast one morning. The lobby is also very small with limited concierge.
I am a Platinum member and expected some sort of upgrade. I was told I was upgraded but my room was exactly the same as my co-worker's room who has no status and we paid the same rate.

Invited by email to update, we did so- to an executive room. It was very noisy, being beside the water pipes and laundry chute which magnified the noise of the water pump.
The WiFi dropped in and out.The night clerk could not help us.
We did receive an acceptable room the next day, but WiFi still a problem.
No restaurant or bar, as they were on Christmas holidays, is unacceptable for international travellers.Room service, available between 6 and 9 pm only had poor choices.
Great restaurant around the corner, close to galleries shops and metro
Breakfast pastries were stale.

Upon checkin, we were told we were getting a "newly remodeled" room. If that is the case, I fear for the guests staying in the old rooms. The hotel has great location, but is clearly old and the elevators are very noisy. Upon entering the room, it appears a rock band has trashed the bathroom: the sink faucet wobbles so much it is difficult to turn on and perching on the toilet is an act of faith that it will remain secured to the floor because it is so loose and wobbly. For the final insult? A cold shower each and every day, regardless of the time of day you try. Extremely disappointing.

Convenient location 1 block from Guy-Concordia Metro; 24-hour convenience store, art museum, bars/restaurants nearby
Junior suite is not really a suite at all, rather it is just a larger room with a couch and jacuzzi tub.
Internet is terribly slow and requires constant re-authentication. Accordingly, I would not recommend staying at this hotel on a business trip.

Very disappointed in this hotel. Not what I expect from an SPG category 4 hotel. Very small and dark. The elevators are old, tiny and dingy. Feels like you are in some sort of weird after hours club. Actually kind of creepy. First time I've been to a hotel as a platinum member and had to choose between welcome points and breakfast. Chose the points because ... No exec lounge. No hotel restaurant. And the fitness centre was a joke. 2 treadmills, 1 stationary bike and a few weights. Really? Hard to get a cab in the morning. No cabs waiting outside hotel. Upgraded to "penthouse". Rooms cozy and clean. But, bathroom tiny with dark brown marble and no counter space. Couldn't leave anything in there without fear of it falling in toilet. Bed uncomfortable and not a nice view considering it was the "penthouse" (rm 1552). Heater made so much noise all night long. Booked to stay 4 nights. Left after 1. Moved to another SPG property. Not for me!

I stay at the Le Meridien 5 to 6 times a year when I am teaching at Concordia. The hotel is conveniently located close to where I teach. This year we had a newly renovated room . My wife and I loved the renovations. The renovation is nothing spectacular but they have put in a new desk workspace, new couch, and comfortable lounging chair.
The couch and chair are extremely comfortable and a lot of clutter has been removed, namely the larger older couch and coffee table.
We love the renovation and always enjoy staying her and the staff are great and give excellent service.

I agree with the comment below this one. The hotel is dated and worn down. Very disappointed although I did appreciate the friendly staff
