Rated 3 out of 5 by SouthKorean Better than any airport hotels in Paris!
Executive room is not that much fascinating that I had expected. Actually "Art Screen" is quite small to be a "feature".
There is no kettle for complimentary tea/coffee but a voucher for one espresso/cappuchino at Jazz Bar instead. No complimentary bottles of water in the room as well.
Staffs at doors, receptions, restaurants are very friendly and accomodating though.
Staying at Le Meridien Etoile is definately a better choice than any other airport hotels at CDG as long as you take "Le Cars by Air France" from/to CDG.
Just across the hotel, there is a Starbucks at the lobby floor of Palais de Congress. Honestly, this is the reason I recommend this hotel for someone like me who needs grande/venti size of coffee in Paris.

Rated 2 out of 5 by traveler52 It should be better
We stayed for five nights. The first room we got had non functional air conditioning. The maintenance staff couldn't fix it so we had to switch rooms.
The second room had a safe that didn't work, it said the battery was low. There were no batteries available, so we had to change rooms again. The new room needed to be cleaned so we were promised our bags would be moved to the new room while we were out. When we returned six hours later, no room had been assigned to us and the bags hadn't been moved. Everything worked in the room we finally got but it looked like there was a water leak in the room above and part of the ceiling would fall at any time. (It didn't though.)
On the plus side, the concierge staff was very helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ATX13 3.6 rating on SPG is just right
Overall this hotel is a good place to stay, but with a few touches it could reach a new level. I've stayed here multiple times and each time it fell just short of a great rating from me. There just always seems to be something that is missed, and until that changes I will continue to rate this as an average hotel.
The front desk was excellent, I was upgraded to an executive room without any hesitation. The location is great as well as it's only a 5-10 euro cab ride to anywhere worthwhile. The cleanliness of the room is adequate as well, but we did have to ask for some extra items. I believe this hotel is undergoing renovations sometime soon, and it really does need this asap throughout most areas.
This stay though, the concierge was a let down as it was during my last stay as well. I'm not sure if it is because I don't speak French, but it seems as if I'm a bother to them each time I ask a question or make a request. As a SPG gold and Hilton Gold member, I travel extensively and expect to be treated with respect without any language requirements. A simple question about the Paris Christmas market was answered by saying "it's just like any other Christmas market." When I asked for any specific recommendations for lights, etc. I'm met with a blank stare and "nothing special is going on currently." I'm fine with doing my own research or asking friends in the area, but I would assume a hotel with concierge service would know things going on in their city.
As I said earlier in this review, this hotel is overall a decent choice, but always misses the mark somewhere along the way. I would welcome an opportunity to speak with the manager as just a few changes could make this a completely different property, an enjoyable one as well.

Le Meridien Etoile has an excellent location. It is easily accessible by foot to shopping (Champs-Elysees), historical landmarks (Arc De Triomphe) & culture. Taxi ride to all other local attractions are in the range of EURO 20/-. Shuttle bus (one-way) to CDG International Airport cost EURO 17/- and is available every 30mins, Hotel is last stop to Airport.

Rated 3 out of 5 by startraveler not the best expeience
We diidn't have a great expeience.
The room was designed poorly and the corner for the bed was sharp. Given the room size was small we kept hitting our legs in teh sharp bed corner as well as there was a blunt metal object emerging on the floor under the bed we kept hitting with our foot. Other poroblems - internet was difficult to access and stay connected in the rooms with wifi. we had a sewage smell coming from the shower taht had to be corrected. Lastly we recieved a 6 am wake up call (3 every few minutes) when we did not order the call.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amy1983 Very convenient location!
The hotel is located in a very convenient location. Taxi stand immediately outside lobby. About 1/2 mile from the Arc de Triomphe, and 1.5 miles from the Eiffel Tower. Walking distance to all the shops on the Champs Elysees. Our room did not have a safe installed for some reason (I believe the front desk said they are repairing some safes), so we had to carry all our valuables around everywhere we went, which was slightly inconvenient. The size of the hotel room was bigger than we anticipated, so that was a plus. We stayed in the executive king room.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Milad Good location but very bad service
I have stayed several times in this hotel (3 nights this time) and as a platinum member who stays over 110 nights a year with Starwood I never had a suite upgrade. There is no facilities for platinum member (executive lounge, evening cocktail...). The room service is not good, at 2PM the room is not cleaned yet, there is no complimentary water, , fruits... The room is really small we couldn't move in the room with our 4 small languages. At the checkout we waited 20 minutes before getting our languages. However, the breakfast is good (a bit crowded) with good service, the steakhouse restaurant is nice and the location is grast. But the overall experience is below average comparing with other Starwood hotels specially for platinum member.

Rated 2 out of 5 by beeper Finally got a decent room on third request
The hotel boasts of being the largest in Paris. Only 22 rooms have been remodeled. We requested a suite, and knew one wasn't available, but were told we'd get the best possible room. The first room was so small that I banged my head on a shelf when I bent down to pick up a piece of luggage. Went down to ask for a bigger room, but was put in an identical sized room on a different floor. Went down to Platinum check in again, but now was introduced to a manager. Presto! She found a corner room which was twice as big. The gym is fine, but no bathrooms nearby and no sign telling you to go to main floor or your room. On the plus side, fantastic breakfast buffet that has a chef for fresh and customized omelets. Close to tube stop. Hotel is busy with tour busses, meetings and conventions.

The hotel is very good placed and the room are comfortable. The staff (frontdesk and concierge) was very helpful and the threatment was great. The issues I had were that I had to wait to make the check in and the check out, the frontdesk was overworked all the time. The threatment in the breakfast was really harsh from part of the restaurant staff, the second day of my stay I even choosed to have a breakfast outside instead of take advantage from the free breakfast to found that the staff from the restaurant charged the free breakfast!!.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great. It is across the street from the Palais Congress so there is a shopping center and supermarket. It is also 1 minute to the Metro and across the street from the CGD shuttle bus.
The room was smaller than expected but was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable and the room - especially the bathroom was very clean.
The front desk staff were always helpful and the Concierge had answers to all questions asked. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the staff very attentive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LeMans Some improvements
I would like to comment you, some points from my point of view could be add to your services.
when we arrive at the hotel, our room had a double single bed, because you had not a room with a king bed (although we have booked it)
In others hotel of Merdidien and Starwoods, we have a mineral water botle, or a coffee machine,
And finally most of the hotel of 4 star have free internet,
I think the cost for the hotel is not quite expensive, and the guests are even happier
hope this mail finds you well

You couldn't ask for a better hotel. I felt that everyone that worked there was kind and accommodating. The shuttle to the airport is just across the street and a subway station is just a block away. Super easy to get around town. Plus, it is across from a large shopping area that has a grocery store, money machines, and a Starbucks. I arrived in the early morning, thanks to a plane delay, and the staff was great with my tardiness. Thankfully, room service was 24 hours and I was able to get something to eat also. Great place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gerrykim Paris in the rain
We had a great time in Paris even though it poured with rain. The hotel is extremely well placed for the metro (Porte Maillot) and getting to all the attractions of Paris. Jazz Cafe at the hotel was an added bonus with lovely background music when you were in the bar area. Staff very helpful and I would definitely go back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lauren2012 Always a pleasure
Having stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, I wanted to add some notes about my most recent stay.
I had the pleasure of receiving upgrades as a Platinum preferred guest. The added space was much appreciated given the fact that the standard rooms are pretty cozy (to be expected in Paris). However, no one comes to Paris to live in their room!
Beds are very comfortable.
The staff and management went out of the way to make me comfortable and offer assistance with anything I needed.
Sometimes the housekeeping can be a little inconsistent, especially when your room is the last one at the end of the hall. But hey, the beds get made and towels get refreshed.
Also, the rooms on the front of the building can be very noisy. Especially on the lower floors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Travellerrrrr Needs Improvement, especially in service.
The only good thing is the location. Right in front of the hotel, there is an airport shuttle bus station. And it's a little bit far from Champs-Élysées by walk.
The view was horrible. The staff at the concierge desk was very unhelpful and arrogant.
This hotel is for the flight crew, frequently move and visit somewhere, and just have a sleep or go around for very short time before their next flight. Apparently they have the counter for the flight crew.
The air circulation needs to be improved, in particular, the hallway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by APJ06 Great stay and excellent service; restaurant/bar service needs improvement
We had an enjoyable stay and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The check-in staff and concierge were excellent!! It was our anniversary and the hotel made sure to greet and help us celebrate. The only portion where I found a lack of attention was the bar/restaurant area. The service was not up to par and the lobby area had no attention from the bar or service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris...great location, access to public transportation, spacious/clean rooms, and friendly staff

Rated 1 out of 5 by andyw2112 Nice but I was over charged!
I stayed in the Le Méridien Etoile 3-June to 6-June. I only stayed at the hotel for 3 nights but I was charged for 4 night.
My original reservation was for 4 night but I was assured by the front desk that this would not be a problem as my reservation had no early termination penalty.
Upon check-out, I used the express check-out desk and was told once again that my early check out was no problem.
Otherwise, the hotel staff was very nice and hotel is in a nice part of Paris with good restaurants nearby.

Rated 3 out of 5 Location Good
le Meridien of Paris was located convenient to public transportation and within walking distance to the Arc de Triumph. Overall, we were disappointed in several aspects of this hotel. Our initial impression before we even got to our room was that the hotel was very "tired". Walls and trim needed painting, wallpaper was beginning to peel, carpeting worn in places. The lobby was small for the size of the facility and was very loud, busy, crowded and aesthetically not very appealing. Our room was small with no view other than that of a roof. For the price - NOT acceptable. The room and bathroom were clean, but worn looking with stained grout, shattered tiling at the base of the tub, peeling wallpaper. This was NOT what we would expect from our travel company or for the high price.

Hotel pushed out heat all night. Windows only open a few cm so air flow was terrible. Room was hot an stuffy. Hotel staff acknowledged the problem and said they reported it but it was never fixed. Air flow shouldn't be out on a central system each room should be controlled by the thermostat in the room or else why is it there for. Room was very uncomfortable. For the price it isn't worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bonderiteboy21 Overall experience
The hotel was, in my opinion over priced and charged for standard services such a internet access. The food whilst acceptable was not of a quality I would expect from a prestigious hotel located in the centre of Paris. Overall the experience was poor and the front staff were not always obliging.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DaviDawn Disappointing experience
Our experience at most Starwood hotel properties is usually great, and being Starwood vacation owners, we are very committed to the Starwood brand, but our experience at Le Meridien Etoile was extremely disappointing. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and while the staff had good intentions to make things right, there were just way too many issues to resolve. Our primary problem was the ridiculously noisy nightclub directly across the street from the hotel. The nightclub closes at 7:00 am and afterwards there are 100s of people hanging around outside screaming, arguing, fighting, revving their engines, and honking their horns. After 3 nights of this, we asked the hotel to move our room, which they did without a problem. And, while we recognize that the nightclub is beyond the hotel's control, it still affects the overall experience of staying at the hotel. Another major issue was the refrigerator in our second room, which was broken when we moved into the new room, but we did not know that and put food into it, which spoiled over night. The room service manager checked it out the next day and promised to replace it, but after repeated calls, that never happened. There are several other issues that we experienced, but the 2 issues mentioned are really the primary ones. But, the front desk staff and the concierge are really helpful and friendly. The location isn't bad, although mostly a Metro ride to get to most attractions. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again because way too many things went wrong. The hotel certainly has a lot of promise and good intentions, but has a long way to go to live up to the Starwood name.

Rated 4 out of 5 by pguign Oversized Hotel but fairly efficient
If you quickly move away from the crowded lobby and the queues to reception and the lifts, the rooms on the executive levelare actually very nicely decorated to the highest standards. The bathroom is well laid out and everything oozes quality. But if you are claustrophobic, beware: the rooms generally tend to be VERY small, so take that into account when you select this hotel. Great, punctual room service and something of a rarity in Paris, the staff is actually very nice and effiicient !!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nshanker Excellent Hotel! Great Location
This hotel is well positioned in Paris to all the major attractions, good restaurants and conveniently located next to the metro. I stayed here for an extended period of time and most my needs were well taken care. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but that is pretty standard for Paris. This hotel is very busy most of times so you will have to be patient for breakfast as the lines are usually very long. Check-in & check-out can be very slow even for SPG platinum & gold members.
