I am going to leave aside the fact that asking for something to be delivered into your room from preferred guest turns into a 25 min wait without results.
Or that the minibar is now empty so that you are left to queue at the vending machine to get your drinks one at a time at the vending machine
What tops it all though is when the hotel organizes a private party for its own launch, closes off all the premises without any notice to its actual (including supposedly precious lifetime platinum) customers, basically throwing them away to find another place to go.
That shows how low customer service has gone in this place that you should avoid at all costs.

The room we were in was cell sized with no where to put suit cases. No drawers to put anything into and no shelves! No closet! Horrible!

During check-in staff was very friendly and helpful, which is rare at this hotel. I returned to the front desk in the afternoon to ask a simple question. Nicole was rude and ill mannered. She told me one thing and when I pointed out what she was saying was incorrect and asked for clarification she refused to help and became even more rude. Upon realizing I would not get any help, I chose to leave, question unanswered. This type of behavior by the staff seems to be the norm at this hotel. If you have an option, go elsewhere.

When I have a chance to visit Paris, I always choose to stay at Le meridian Etoile, this time as well. At first night, I found that the air conditioner is not cool, so I inform hotel to fix it. A mechanical come and tried to fix it. But it quite late at night and I have to go on my business in the next day early morning, so I tell the mechanic to come again on the next day while I’m not at the room. But the worst thing is that I cannot sleep all night because of the nasty smell of the painting color! when I went to the front office in the following day around 8:00 pm, (second night) Front office send the night shift manager to talk to me. She act so impolite(rude) and act as if I asked for free service, no service mind and not helping or trying to take care of my problem! Even saying ‘Good night’, she yelled rudely as if she didn’t care. And I had to drag my luggage to my new room myself! It is at night and I’m tried. I want to ask you that Is this one of the Starwood’s hotel service standard?

None of the outlets worked when we first got there. We first thought it was a problem with our adapters. It turned out to be a blown fuse outside the room over the door. It went out again 2 days later. Hairdryer could only be used in bathroom and overheated to the point that not only was it too hot for my scalp, but then quit working until it cooled down. I have very short hair so it wasn't like I used it for a long time.
Concierges were great! Breakfast buffet was amazing, but expensive for people who don't eat a lot.
We liked the ease of using the computer and printers for boarding passes.

overall nice & good experience, nice Le Meridien although would have expected the check-in staff to notify me that there was a clublounge i would have had access too. Will defenitely return if in Paris again.

Our stay at the end of May was a little chaotic as the alterations where still in progress. We had stayed at the hotel in September 2014 and had a pleasent room. Our room this time was disappointing. It had a king size bed which took up most of the room leaving little space for our baggage. There was only one baggage stand which ment that one of us had to open our case on the floor., not easy for a 70 plus lady. On request I got another stand which helped. As there was only hanging space in the cupboard we had to leave most of our cloths in our suitcases. Our first two nights were with our Viking booking and the other three our private booking. I would stay at the hotel again but would try to get a better room .

Thanks to meridian, we (family of 4 and grandma) did Paris in 3 days. Meridien took care of everything ... staff was incredibly warm, courteous, and attentive to our needs at all hours. The text service was very useful (used it for the first time). We got adjoining rooms. The staff was well intentioned and genuine in care ... there were a couple very minor hiccups (when are there not, we are human thank god) ... but the intent was always to serve with respect. No attitude from anyone. All helpful. Thank you - will highly recommend and come again and stay for sure.
