Rated 5 out of 5 by Two-Day Stay at Le Meridien on Aug 27-29, 2013 We stayed at Le Meridien (second time) as part of a Cote D'Azur, Monaco and Lake Como vacation. We were there for two nights and overall, our experience was excellent. I am SPG Platinum and I stay in hotels about 75 days a year for business - so I would consider myself demanding but fair. This hotel exceeded my expectations and given the fact that it has a private beach, it offered an excellent balance of a place to relax during the day and close proximity to shopping and Casino Square. Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what it used to be Obviously as the only MC hotel with it's own beach the Beach Plaza is always worth a look. But its not what it used to be. Too many conferences and group booking mean that the staff no longer recognise regulars let alone SPG members and frankly the reception staff in particular are arrogant beyond belief. If you're at a conference it's fine but there are better places to stay in MC now which are closer to the center and offer good value. October 8, 2013

My only two minor grumbles are (a) there was no booklet in the room outlining all the services available in the hotel e.g. info on bars, pool opening hours etc. and (b) I got conflicting info about whether or not I needed a passport to get into the main Casino (you don;t to get in the public section, but do to get into the private section). Alsom, the room was very hot and I couldn't really control the heating. But I am being picky - on the whole it was great. December 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best Action-Packed Hotel Check-in was extremely profession & the staff spoke fluent English. The restaurant was incredible w/a Sommelier on staff. He was warm, charming & knowledgeable in all wines. And this was our lunch. No pressure to leave even though it was packed w/people waiting to get a table. The people-watching can NOT be beat anywhere in the world. Extremely chic. Both men & women. Overall a great experience that I will repeat in the future. August 14, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by All is great but.... The hotel was a good as it always has been. The fact that is has a natural beach and sea access is a major plus. However, with the room rates one pays, I would Wi-Fi to be included and not charged at ludicrous prices. Most people nowadays need it for work or even private related matters, and I would be much classier to have this included in the service. October 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beach hotel in Monte Carlo One of the only hotels in Monte Carlo with its own private beach, this one is worth a look. Push for a room on the water side - some rooms look straight onto a freeway. The beach of comfortable, and there is a lot of pool area to relax in, with a range of watersports activities. An indoor pool is available year round. It's a short walk into town, so you can avoid taxis should you wish. We were in a "design room" on the SPG floor, which had seen better days, and, oddly, had a large tub but no shower. Holding the spray handset over your head while the bathroom floor got wet quickly lost its appeal. The buffet breakfast is a good spread with interesting takes on classic breakfast items. Small gripe - why charge SPG platinum members Euro 6 to upgrade from the Continental breakfast option. It's only six euros, but that swings both ways. This hotel is in a great spot, and, with a little tightening, could be a great hotel. September 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bathroom improvement The room and view from the 11th floor was fabulous however the bathroom was one of the worst I have ever been in for a luxury hotel. There was no shower. In the tub which was very deep and hard to get in and out of was a hand shower but no holder or shower curtain making it impossible for senior citizens to shower....... October 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location Everything about Le Meridian Beach Plaza exceeded our expectations! The room was awesome and our balcony overlooking the sea was wonderful!! We had dinner outside on the restaurants patio. the food was delicious and the service impeccable. the staff was efficient and accomodating. I hope to visit Monaco again and will definitely choose this hotel again. September 18, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice hotel but definitely not a category 6 The hotel has a nice pool and beach area but this certainly isnt a category 6. The rooms are outdated as well as the hotel, it could use a facelift. To me a category 6 is a solid all around property, the fact that the hotel is run down makes it a cat 5 for me. Definitely not worth 20k pts per night. Also service by the pool could be better, nobody walking around to take orders etc. July 6, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by this hotel was my dissapointment my reservation war with balcony and part of see view, this hotels front desk manager is so irresponsible and didint help for anything. they changed my room 3 times and none of was which i booked. i paid for part of see view price and i got a room any of see . this hotel is really sucs, i hated to staff and the hotel. and i am telling every person i know. Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has good location for the Tennis Madsters Hotel very good, location good BUT I think the prices for internal services are exorbitant: e. g. A water from the fridge in the room € 8.--, WIFI per hour € 8.-- per day 19.-- This when the large number of hotels offer free WIFI. Breakfast € 34.-- Outrageous! I like your hotel and i stayed several times there but these prices are crazy! Best regards Andy Almasi April 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by THis hotel represents Le Meridien brand and Starwood at it's finest! If only the American hotels can do the same! 2nd stay here in last two years..unbelievable setting. Staff, especially Vanessa, provide "over the top" welcome to SPG Platinum. Everyone, from mini-bar service, bellman, front desk, concierge speak better English than I do French. Leaving now as the Grand Prix gets started...prefer peace and quiet of past week. May 21, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice stay Our first room had to be changed as the carpet was very wet, and the staff moved us without a fuss. The second room was very clean and comfy. We did find it strange that there was no way of having a normal shower as the shower head had no way to mount to the wall, but we managed. Overall we found the staff very helpful and polite. Rated 5 out of 5 by Le Meridien Beach Plaza, Monaco I asked for a handicapped room. We were happy to discover that the room was actually accessible with a wheelchair. The staff was very helpful to make the room and shower as safe as possible. The view from our room was wonderful! Right on the beach. The food was very good for breakfast ! Dinner had a limited menu but good. May 2, 2013

The personal attention to details that made our trip and stay spectacular. We have been staying at this location since it was taken over by Le Meridien and each year it keeps getting better! The check out lady had no interest at all to ask how the stay was and would welcome the guest again. I have never seen such a bad service in a hotel with that attitude before. Never ever again! Some electrical Gadgetry was not working. ALL management Staff was courteous, attentive and prompt in service. May 9, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great way to kick off 2013 We came to Monte Carlo to kick off 2013 in style, and the hotel didn't disappoint us. We received a greeting card and a box of delicious chocolates for New Year's Eve. That was such a nice touch. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. As Starwood Gold Member, we were upgraded to a room on the top floor. The room was spacious and quiet. We also received complimentary Internet service. The gentleman at the concierge was extremely helpful - he helped us to make a reservation at a great restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner, to find a list of cooking classes in Provence. The gym was small but nice. I found the temperature being a little too warm for doing serious cardio workout. The indoor swimming was beautiful. The room feature that I didn't like was the shower being quite small in a rather spacious bathroom. The checkout was very slow, taking about 5 minutes for each guest to check out. Our bill was initially wrong, but corrected after we contested some charges. We noticed that several guests in the checkout line had the same experience. January 8, 2013
