Rated 5 out of 5 by Far7a Great views
Coming from a busy job was so pleased to be able to relax , despite the hotel being full, yet quiet and there is always plenty of common areas to sit. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Location is excellent

Rated 1 out of 5 by MB2015 Things to improve
.clients bang doors regularly & prevent sleeping
.connecting rooms door not well insulated & can hear everything neighbour does or says
.outside windows are not sufficiently sound proof
.organisation in the Lobby is CHAOTIC
.ambiance in the lobby feels like a gang bazar & sounds & looks disorderly
.doesnt give the feel to sit down for a snack or meal
.feels like hotel that is focused on MASS/GROUP clients instead of leveraging its UNIQUE beach front that it has as no other hotel in Monaco has it
.elevator concept is mediocre

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ajoo Disappointing Experience
The rooms and overall the hotel needs complete remodeling. There were stains on the bathroom floor that the cleaning crew could not remove. For a category 6 it was very disappointing experience. We stayed at the Le Meridien in London (also a category 6) prior to coming to Monte Carlo and the rooms and hotel were much better. The staff though was very helpful and attentive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Belbel123 Good but not fantastic
Nice hotel, attentive care. However, concierge was pretty incompetent at their (basic) knowledge around Monte Carlo (for instance, unable to indicate whether certain famous luxury brands are within walking distance or not, and spoke limited english.
Rooms were good, with the sea view being a seriously amazing thing to have in the backdrop. The food is acceptable, nothing spectacular. The lobby is unimpressive, so are the lifts. Overall, an acceptably good hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rodbar Very good overall
Room very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful in general.
However, it was most annoying the fact that wifi isn't free in rooms, and prices for this aren't insignificant either. In such a connected and mobile world as today's, it's hard to think that a high end chain charges extra for in-room wifi access, particularly taking into account business travelers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by subhashm Meridien - a Jewel of Monaco
Le Meridien Beach Plaza is truly a jewel of Monaco. Located on the beach, it has the best of both - the city of Monte Carlo is just a few minutes away and at the same time you get the real feel of the Cote d'Azur by being right on the beach with some truly spectacular views. The service is impeccable. Whether it is a family or a honeymooner, Le Meridien Beach Plaza should be your preferred choice when in Monaco

Rated 4 out of 5 by Vincos Closest Thing to a “Destination Resort” on the Cote d’Azur
OVERALL IMPRESSION: With a good beach, spectacular pools (indoor and out) and beautiful gardens, this property would be a great “destination resort” anywhere but, here, can also boast the added benefit of Monaco at its doorstep and all the other fabulous attractions of the Riviera - from Menton to Nice - all within easy reach. Well-maintained and upscale, the usually very high rates seem almost justifiable.
SPG RECOGNITION: Generally good. Dedicated check-in. Upgrade to superior category with sea view. In-room amenity. Platinum breakfast is buffet in the ground floor restaurant with lovely outdoor seating available. Late check-out granted even though, as a resort, they are not held to honor it.
THE ROOM: Many categories. Ours was a “design” room which meant a circular floor plan with an interesting layout, bright colors and chic decor.
LOCATION: On the eastern border of Monaco directly on the beach. Shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: In no instance - which is quite telling. A Category 6 property really should pack some powerful punches and, while there is nothing wrong with this place, somehow it lacks that “wow” factor which would justify the very high rates and award redemption costs.
DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS: Monaco is Monaco and prices are outrageous everywhere but if would be nice if this property had more light food/snack options that did not require a mortgage.
ONE THING TO KNOW: Monaco is terraced and walking most places can be a challenge but have the staff give directions to the shortcut stairs/lifts which will take you the short distance up to a major transit hub from whence you can get just about anywhere on the Cote d’Azur.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Thomas88 Great loacation and views, not so great service
The Hotel is located at the Eastern edge of Monaco, right at the Beach. Rooms facing the sea have great views, you can see sunrise and sunset from the balconies. There's the main building with balconies and the later aded glass towers with Design rooms. After asking for it, we got an upgrade to a Junior Suite with balcony as SPG Platinum guest.
The check-in was without problems, late-check out was granted without any issues, but the staff (only with a few exceptions) did not give us the feeling of beeing a welcome guest. Each time passing the front-desk, each staff was on the phone; same with the conicerge. Many information given were wrong (e.g. asking how to get to Roquebrune, the next town; the train was recomended, altough no trains stop there any longer).
The breakfast was served in the conference builing next to the hotel. The buffet was big and had a good choice, but the atmosphere did not correspond at all to what the Hotel presents to be. It had the feeling of a budget hotel, and staff was not very attentiv (more talking with each other).
Considering the hotel beeing at SPG Cat. 6 hotel, the experience was rather disappointing. Nevertheless, there's not a nig choice for hotels in Monaco and the location is great though.
