Rated 5 out of 5 by Helpful Concierge I came from the airport by taxi. The cab driver was a bad guy who tried to cover the meter and overcharged me for THB 500. Although I insisted to pay by the meter, he did in the end overcharge me when I confused THB 1000 notes with THB 100 ones. I turned to Concierge for help. Your Mr. Kok did not only help me get back the money, he did it without me needing to see the cab driver again. It was all very professionally handled. It reassures me that SPG hotels care about their guests and are always helpful. It reassures me that Bangkok is still a world class tourist city despite a few bad cab drivers. I would not hesitate to recommend Le Meridien to my friends visiting Bangkok. And of course the upgrade to a suite from a Vista Plus room was very nice. June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel staff are flexible to meet my need I used several Starwood hotels before for meetings. But the experience was horrible. if I have choice, I would normally not choose Starwood but Le Meridien Bangkok made me change my view. The hotel staff there are very flexible to meet my meeting need. Unlike other Starwood hotel, they would ask you for money first and then may do it for you. Le Meridien Bangkok would meet your needs first and if possible they would not charge you extra.n June 13, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 Star Hotel All Around The Le Meridien Bangkok was a nice fresh of air amongst the chaotic busy streets of Bangkok. The location is centrally located in Bangkok, close to restaurants and street vendors. The BTS (subway station) is about a 10 minute walk from this hotel, which is very convenient. The staff is professional and eager to please. They all can speak English very well and can answer any questions you may have. One downfall of this hotel is that there is no free internet in your room. There is free internet in the lobby though. We were there for two nights and received a one king size room. The room had a nice decor, along with a fresh modern look. I had breakfast here and the breakfast was delicious. They have an all you can eat style breakfast that has a quite of bit of selection. It is a little expensive for Thailand prices. I did not check out the pool or the fitness center but did stop by to take a look. June 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bar experience Check-in was a little below average as the front desk on the SPG desk didn't have a clue what she was doing and kept having to ask the other lady for help. I believe she was in training but not sure why they put the trainee on the SPG desk. I was given a regular room and asked for an upgrade and got one- not sure why I wasn't just given one automatically like usual when checking in. Again I think because she didn't know what was going on. Anyway the room was cool and beautiful. The pool was quiet and peaceful and they do little things that make a big difference like give you a face spritzer, cool towel at the pool. Being platinum I could enjoy drinks at the bar and snacks for free. The drinks were amazing - beautiful cocktails, whole coconuts, sparkling wine, great wines. And the snacks were really high end and delicious (have stayed at other le meridian hotels where the snacks were peanuts and the drinks were just beer, wine, and well drinks) And the service at the bar was incredible. Two ladies ran around the whole time making sure everyone had drinks and snacks. I never had to sit there waiting or waving my hand for attention to get my next free drink. Overall a really great experience June 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Superlative fittings The fittings in the rooms, including the bathrooms, are simply awesome. Real high quality finishing. The bell boys and reception team (at entrance of the hotel) are very good and welcoming. The check-in crew are generally efficient but seem impersonal. I had a minor incident at check-in where the card I used for booking was requested for sighting - i offered this but was surprised to see my phone beep indicating 8000B has been booked on my card. Basically, they should have sought my permission before charging my card for a deposit. I made an immediate complaint and received on-the spot apology. Room service is imepcable - both presentation and promptness of service. May 27, 2013
