The stay in Le Meridien Chongqing was redeemed with my starpoints.
On the day of check-in, I specially called the hotel frontdesk to double-check my booking, and also told them about my friend's ealier check-in who was going to share the room with me, meanwhile about my late chek-in around 11:00pm on that day. I also asked the frontdesk about room-upgrade for SPG Platinum member. The answer I got from the frontdesk girl was"Since you booked a 'Deluxe room', so we can only upgrade you to a one level higher room." Ok, whatever. But when I got to the hotel, here comes the story: the check-in stuff went on quickly, once I got the roomcard, I asked about which floor the executive lounge is located. And I got a WOW answer:"I don't think you have the access to the executive lounge, because your SPG status is GOLD..." Excuse me? I've been upgraded to Platinum since May, and had so many stays in different starwood hotels and resorts world wide after that, and now you're telling me that I'm a SPG gold member? Man you WOWed me successfully! After I showed them my SPG member card, the guy kinda told me:"Oh, it must be the network problem, the system didn't got upgraded..." Blah-blah-blah... Is it my problem that your system didn't got upgraded? Do I deserve it? Then the frontdesk guy told me "Now you have the access to the executive lounge. But we cannot do the room upgrade for you since your friend has already checked in and it's late now." Wow, what a "well-trained" hotel staff. Shall I write you a thank-you card for "awarding" me the access to executive lounge? The point is not about a room upgrade or whatelse. It's about the ATTITUDE. The staff of this hotel, well at least from the frontdesk is a failure of training. They don't know what does the word "SERVICE" mean and I don't even see any service consciousness from them. I really do hope the hotel management may pay enough attention to the staff training and qualification. This stay really made me feel so angry and disappointed!

This property is located right above the railway station for convenience, as well as next to the Wan Da shopping center. The staff are courteous and eager to help. In particular, Iris Zhong, the guest services manager, was particularly helpful in helping me around the city and suggesting attractions and restaurants. Well done!
The rooms are spacious, and the club lounge is very cozy with very nice refreshments. Definitely my home in Chongqing.

无论是礼宾部还是行政酒廊的工作人员，都非常专业。推荐行政酒廊的早餐和Happy hour，有丰富的美食和酒。特别感谢Shunny Xiang，专业的服务。酒店的位置也不错，离轻轨站很近，出行方便。
