Rated 3 out of 5 by Check in Procedures require reviewing We were part of an organised tour group and Le Meridien had at least three weeks prior notification of our arrival date, room requirements and time of arrival. Our tour guide in Chongquing contacted Le Meridien to confirm all rooms etc on the day of our arrival three times and on the third ocassion he was informed rooms were ready for us. There were only 6 of us on the tour group and 3 rooms required. Two double bed rooms and one with 2 single beds so it should not have been an effort to have those rooms ready for occupancy. The couples for the two double rooms checked in and in their room within a 20 min time period. We, the mother and daughter, requiring two single beds, finally accessed our room 2hrs 15min later- not happy at all. The delay for our rooms was cleaning, a request to allocate us to another room gave a response of ' Madam, we are cleaning the rooms and there is great pressure on twin bed rooms, you need to wait' I fail to understand why a large hotel such as the Le Meridien could not have a twin bed room ready for occupancy, it just didn't make sense and in all honesty we were seething with outrage as there was no apology, no compensation and we were given a dismissive response and attitude. The room, once we got there, was fine but interestingly enough the other couples found they were allocated different categories of rooms. We were all suppose to have the same category yet one couple had a premium room, despite all of us paying the same price. The breakfast buffet was no different to other buffets we had encountered at other motels on our tour and the service was not as attentive ie one cup of tea offered and despite trying to gain the attention of the person whom was the 'tea person' I would still be waiting. The toaster was dismal to say the least, the knob fell off the lever to lower and raise the bread and you had to turn on the toaster after each person. The only way we found out how to use it was to watch another person, there was no instructions. Food was luke warm in the self serve area, only consolation is the person doing the omelettes; we had at least a hot omelette. We had a scheduled late check out- midday yet we were disturbed by housekeeping at 0945hrs to clean our room. There was no shower gel in the bathroom, so shampoo used for the bath. Check In spoilt our experience with this motel- absolutely no need for it and I would highly recommend management review their processes. April 17, 2016

Special thanks given to Cathy Yu, Guest Service Manager, who was very helpful facilitating the check-in (where I got an issue with my membership) and hospitality in the executive lounge. The suite was clean and spacious. Washing machine and dryer were useful. Good location. May 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Guest Services improvement I stayed twice in your hotel. For these two stay,I encountered not really satisfied experience for guest serivces. I requested Iphone 5 charger while dialed to your operator...But, till 30 minutes later, I received the charger. I called to the Service Center three times, and I can't do anything except waiting for the charger. We also confused for the elevator, suggested improve signage or people escorting. November 24, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing value and hotel Amazing hotel! Upon arriving, I was immediately greeted by the bellman who grabbed my items and escorted me in. The lobby is very grand and open with a very elegant look. Check-in was smooth - the bellman seemed generally eager to share the city, and enthusiastically talked about the local food and sights. My PLT status was acknowledged and all benefits communicated effectively. I was escorted by two people to my room, where fruits and an envelope were waiting to welcome me to the hotel. The rooms themselves were amazing as well - for 3000 starpoints, I had a living room and a bedroom. The bathroom was extremely nice, and there was even a TV in the bathroom mirror! Location is right by a pedestrian street with plenty of shopping. The lounge has an a la carte breakfast menu, and I also received an email from the hotel manager welcoming me and letting me know how to contact her if I needed anything. A+++ October 8, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Service needs improve Front office staffs have poor service, did not foucs on guests, only focusing on leting job done. First impression was bad But the bellboy and housekeeping staff have much better interacting with guests rather than front office staff. August 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel located just beside a subway exit The location of the hotel is just right outside Nanping subway station exit #6 (Metro Line 3). As such, I took the 1 hour long monorail ride all the way from Jiangbei Airport after touching down. I was upgraded to a Premier room as a Gold SPG member. As I received a corner unit, the shower stall is actually quite large. Nice red sofa in the corner to lounge around as well. The photos speak for themselves. Only unpleasant experience when entering the room was I found urine stains on the toilet seat, housekeeping needs to pay more attention to details. The lobby area is very open with sitting area by the sides and corners. Lobby lounge was quiet when I used it one afternoon and ordered the Afternoon Tea set which was simple enough. My room rate did not include breakfast hence most of the time was eating next door at the Wanda Shopping mall. I also made use of the subway daily to explore the city and some sightseeing. I had little interaction with the staff throughout my stay hence no comments in that regard. August 3, 2014
